Installation
------------

The following assumes c: is the hard drive and a: is the floppy disk drive
If this is not the case, substitute the correct letter.

1. Insert floppy disk #1 and type: a:\setup

2. You will be asked what drive and directory you want Jammit installed on.
The default drive and directory that Jammit uses is C:\JAMMIT. If you
want a different drive and/or directory, type it in the space provided
and press ENTER. If the default is OK, then just press ENTER.

3. The program then unpacks and copies the Jammit files to your hard disk.
At some point, you will be asked to insert disk #2. Each disk takes
   several minutes to unpack.

4. Select the sound board you are using. Choices (a) through (f)
are for standard configurations of the most popular sound boards.
Most of the time, this is all you need to do.

If your board is not on the list, or is using a non-standard
jumper configuration, or you are using one board for MIDI and
the other for digital sounds, select (g).

When you select choice (g), the program first asks you what board
you are using for digital audio. It allows you to specify a different
base address and IRQ number, and then test the board. The same
procedure is then repeated for your MIDI device.

5. The program will then tell you to press any key to exit. This ends the
installation procedure. When you exit, the current drive and directory
will be the one on the hard disk that you selected in step a).

6. TO RUN, type:

		jammit

7. If you need to reconfigure the sound without re-installing everything
   else, type:
                config
