Thank you for buying PGA EUROPEAN TOUR and welcome to the installation
program. I know you probably can't wait to play the game, but before you
can play PGA EUROPEAN TOUR, you must set up the audio for the game,
and install certain files that must reside on your hard drive.

About This Installation Program

In each screen of the installation program you will be asked to make
choices about the audio or files you wish to install for the game.
If at anytime you do not understand the choices being presented to you,
simply press F1 to display the help file for that screen. Pressing any
key in the help screen will take you back to the choices.
On certain screens there is a test button that allows you to test the
choices that you make. We recommend that you use the test button whenever
it is available. Installation file sizes are approximate and indicate the
amount of hard disk space required.

About CDs

PGA EUROPEAN TOUR is designed to support Course CDs in the future, so you
should be able to remove and replace or change your CD on the Courses Menu
after clicking the Course Cd button. Wait for the CD drive access light
to go off before removing a CD, and after inserting a CD wait until the
access light stops blinking before clicking on anything. PGA EUROPEAN
TOUR is designed to run on at least double-speed CD-ROM Drives. Stuttering
videos and flybys indicate that the CD drive is too slow. For more
information on CD problems, see the "CD Problems" section of the reference
card.

About Sound Cards

Changing sound cards will require re-installation of PGA EUROPEAN TOUR
to change the sound card settings.

About Video Cards

PGA EUROPEAN TOUR requires a VESA compatible SVGA video card capable of
640x480 resolution with 256 colors. You need to use a VESA driver supplied
by your video card manufacturer. For more information on video problems
see the "Video Problems" section of the reference card.

About Memory

PGA EUROPEAN TOUR requires at least 7,500,000 bytes of available memory
to run. Use the DOS command "mem /c" to check the amount of available
memory on your system. For information on how to free up memory on your
system, see the "Memory Problems" section of your reference card. PGA
EUROPEAN TOUR also requires at least 3Mb of temporary hard disk storage.

About Lap-tops

You can run without a CD if you install AT LEAST the following onto your
hard disk; 1) ALL of the golfers you will be using (install any pros you wish
plus all 4 of the amateur golfers). 2) At least one course. 3) the User
Interface files and 4) the Menu Screen files. Of course, if you want
sounds and commentary you should install these as well, but the game
will run without them. Power management on some lap-tops may cause problems.
You may need to disable it.
