Additional information for Project X

Project X is designed to work with EMS memory. If you have your
machine configured to use XMS (or extended memory) then please
change this to EMS type memory, this will also lead to an increase
in the speed that the program runs at and you should not receive
   the dreaded "Insufficient memory" message.

If you are using a memory manager, you may find an entry on the
line which loads the memory manager in CONFIG.SYS which says "NOEMS"
this needs to be removed. Often, with modern memory managers, you
will have a program which automatically configures and optimizes
your memory. Consult you memory manager documentation for further
   details.

If you are playing with a joystick or joypad you may
select weapons using the second button.

It is possible to override the default sound setting
   by typing
	X A for Adlib
	X B for PC Speaker
	X G for Gravis Ultrasound
	X S for Sound Blaster

	or

	GO A for Adlib
	GO B for PC Speaker
	GO G for Gravis Ultrasound
	GO S for Sound Blaster

If you experience any problems with sound please check that
you have the enviroment variable correctly set for your sound card.
See the manufacturers documentation for further details.

Run SOUND to change the default sound setting.

Orchid soundcards. During testing of Project X it became apparent
that some Orchid soundcards have drivers which are not fully
Sound Blaster compatible, this leads to very poor sound quality.
If your Orchid driver is earlier than version 1.4 you may need
to obtain a new driver from Orchid.
