If you’re reading this preview, it’s likely that you already know what Civilization is on some level. When it came to choosing a developer for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, I firmly believe MachineGames was the right team for the job. No-one has a better track record than the Wolfenstein developer when it comes to punching Nazis, or tracking down mysterious and ancient artifacts in elaborate ways to keep them out of the hands of said Nazis. Having now seen a demonstration of the new Indiana Jones game ahead of its reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live, I can say that MachineGames has absolutely nailed the tone - but I’ll need to see more before I’m convinced this is a truly great game.

I don’t usually let myself get swept up in the annual wave of pre-release Call of Duty hysteria - I’ve been burned too many times by the series in recent years. A truism in life is that you can’t make everyone happy. Not everyone is going to love what you create and that’ll be the same no matter what you do. Recently, huge survival sim Soulmask has been trying to become a little less tough on players, especially those who are new to the game. A few different patches have made the game less challenging in some areas, and a few fans are worried that this indicates a change in direction for the game. In a recent Q&A held on the Soulmask Discord, developer CampFire Studios is attempting to lay these fears to rest.

I’ve been testing the Legion Slim 5 for around two weeks now, using it as my daily driver at times, gaming on it at others, and have run it through all manner of benchmarks.
