The Winter Ball update for DDV is officially slated to launch on Dec. 10. Precise launch times for updates are never shared ahead of time, but most previous updates and expansion content have all been released at exactly the same time, which is 8am CT, so we can likely expect this one to be as well.
All updates and fresh content outside of those that launched around the time the game first released have stayed true to this launch time. The Winter Ball update features in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The main focus of The Winter Ball update is introducing Cinderella to the village, but there are quite a few other exciting additions arriving alongside her. Here are all the key features included in this update.
New character – Cinderella is finally arriving in the valley with this update. She's locked away behind a magical pumpkin enchantment, so you'll need to work with the Fairy Godmother to free her. Once you do, you'll get to place her castle home anywhere you'd like to have her move in.
New quests and rewards – Like all characters, Cinderella comes with her own set of quests you can work through to befriend her and exclusive prizes you can claim as you get to know her. Throughout her missions, you'll try new hobbies, befriend some critters, and throw a Friendship Ball for the entire valley.
New Star Path event – A fresh Star Path event is featured in this update, which is called the Winter Warmth Star Path. This event has lots of festive winter tasks you can tackle to claim rewards like winter outfits, furniture, and a Festive Baby Pegasus critter Companion.
New bundle – The Cinderella Mega Bundle will be added to the Premium Shop. This pack includes fresh Dream Styles for Cinderella and Fairy Godmother, some other Cinderella-themed items, and holiday goodies inspired by Frozen.

DreamTeams feature – A fresh feature called DreamTeams will allow players to form crews of up to seven other friends. You can customize your team details, trade items with other players, share pictures, and more.
Two events – The Gift of Giving event will return from Dec. 17 to 31, with the same tasks as in previous years and some new ones you can work through for fresh prizes. There's also a new event called Winter Floating Festival, which will run from Jan. 7 to 28. In this one, you can solve winter puzzles to earn rewards.
Quality of life improvements – A new villager toggle feature is being added to photo mode, allowing all players to freely pick any unlocked villager to appear in the shot as desired. Scrooge McDuck now accepts returns, which means you can sell items back to him for the full original Star Coin price. His shop also finally has a search feature, plus some new sorting and filtering options to make finding what you're searching for easier than ever.

Your first ever mount is a customizable horse, which is granted shortly after you arrive in Wishblossom Ranch during the A Wishful Invitation quest. You can unlock three extra horses to customize by tackling additional quests with Snow White after this, all of which start with the phrase "Hold Your Horses" and task you with crafting unique Stable Repair Kits.
These quests unlock gradually over time as you explore Wishblossom Ranch, unlock new areas, and progress through the main storyline. All of the quests you need to complete to unlock the full stable for a total of four custom horses are as follows.

How to unlock Maximus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Maximus is freed from the Wishblossom of Hope and unlocked as a mount during the Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps quest. He's unlocked at the very end of this mission, so you'll need to work through almost the full quest before you meet him.
Once all of these prerequisites are met, you'll unlock the Crystal Caverns: Glamour Gulch quest to work on. You'll find Khan near the very end of this mission after you break all three crystals around the cavern and chat with the Wishblossom of Ambition. You need his help to get out at the end.
How to unlock Pegasus in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Pegasus is the third storyline mount you can get, and is unlocked after you reach the Pixie Acres region and complete the Crystal Cavern: Pixie Acres quest. You need to work through Tigger's missions, including Bounce Up, Never Down, The Balloon Family, and Fun! Fun! Fun! before you can access this mission. You'll need to unlock Tigger, too.

The process for acquiring Pegasus is similar to Maximus and Khan, so you must work through the full trial in the Crystal Cavern quest to unlock him. You need him to tackle the final mission in the main storyline, which is The Decay.
How to unlock Sven in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Sven is a Deluxe Edition exclusive, which means you must purchase this special version of the Wishblossom Ranch expansion to unlock him. He also comes with four special rewards and a unique Dream Style, so if you're a fan of this iconic reindeer, this edition is certainly worth getting. So far, he's the only mount that isn't a horse, making him quite special.
To actually unlock him, you need to progress your relationship with Kristoff and work your way through the Wishblossom Ranch storyline until you receive the Reindeer Are Better Than People quest, which happens as soon as you complete the Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps quest. It's given to you by Kristoff since Sven is his loyal reindeer friend.

This quest is a very short one that simply requires you to get to know Sven better. You just need to feed him, ride him around a bit, and jump over a few obstacles while also checking in with Kristoff occasionally to get it done. As soon as you do, Sven is unlocked as a mount you can call upon whenever you like.

Where to find Honey Coral in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Honey Coral is classified as a fish that can be caught out of white ripple spots throughout Pixie Acres in DDV. It's a rather tricky item to discover, as you likely wouldn't expect it to fall under the fishing category. It looks and sounds like an item you might forage for on land instead, but it's actually exclusively obtained through fishing.
Other fish can appear in white bubble spots, too, so even when you're fishing in the right area, it might take a bit to find Honey Coral. How easy or difficult it is to find this resource is based entirely on luck, as you might find some on your first try or take several tries to get any.
Honey Coral locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Honey Coral can be found in all fishable water spots throughout the vast Pixie Acres biome. This includes water in Sundae Shores, Pixie Flats, Hundred-Acre Fields, and Hunny Falls.
The oozing honey hill in Hunny Falls is also a fishable spot, even though it looks like you're fishing out of honey instead of water. Essentially, anywhere you can cast your Royal Fishing Rod throughout this region has a chance of catching you some Honey Coral as long as you're fishing from a white ripple spot.

Before you start fishing for Honey Coral, invite a character who specializes in fishing to hang out with you. Having a fishing friend at your side means you will occasionally find bonus goodies while fishing. This bonus will sometimes apply to Honey Coral when you catch it, making it much easier to stock up on quickly.
Wishblossom Ranch is home to a wide cast of iconic characters, all of whom you can eventually get to move into your village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the tougher characters to unlock on this island is Tinker Bell.

You can unlock Tinker Bell as a villager by completing the Home Is Where the Heart Is quest. She's the toughest character to unlock in all of Wishblossom Ranch, though, as you need to fully complete the main storyline and unlock all other villagers to get to this point. Unlock the Wishblossom Ranch DLC.
While there are many characters you can meet with just the DDV base game, Tinker Bell is not one of them. She is a DLC exclusive character, so you need to have purchased and installed this expansion to find and meet her.
Travel to Wishblossom Ranch.
Head inside the Dream Castle and up to the left side of the third floor. Walk through the gate to access the Stardust Port, then board the train to set off to Wishblossom Ranch.
This is the third and final trial that comes after unlocking each biome and the three characters that go with them. You also get Pegasus as a rideable horse during this quest.
This is the last main storyline mission, and one that focuses entirely on putting a stop to the Decay for good. You have to have this quest fully finished to get the mission that allows you to unlock Tinker Bell.
Help set up a pixie party while also secretly working with Snow White to surprise Tinker Bell. At the very end of this mission, you'll build Tinker Bell's house, which is when she's officially unlocked as a villager.

There are nine friendship rewards you can unlock by leveling up your relationship with Tinker Bell. To complete the Home Is Where the Heart Is quest, you need to set up a special party and help Tinker Bell move into the valley. You have to embark on some tricky scavenger hunts for key resources in this one, which can make it tough to work through, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to get done.
Talk to Snow White and Merlin
To get things going, meet up withSnow White and chat with her to formulate a plan. She's planning an extra surprise for Tinker Bell, but needs your help to set it up. Start by seeking out Merlin to chat about the situation.
Gather the materials needed to craft the Pixie Furniture Set
Part of the surprise for Tinker Bell involves crafting a special Pixie Furniture Set for her. Before you can do so, though, you'll need to gather some key resources from all around Wishblossom Ranch, including:
10 Reclaimed Barn Wood – Can be found on the ground throughout the Wishing Alps biome, including around Wishing Way, Wishblossom Ranch, Delver Dale, Silver Summit, and Ranch Highlands.
Three Pincushion Peach – Can be found growing on trees throughout all regions in Glamour Gulch, including Runway River, Paisley Park, Modish Marsh, and Haute Plateau.
Five Giant Acorns – Can be dug up around Pixie Acres, including in Sundae Shores, Hundred-Acre Fields, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls.
Five Copter Seeds – Can be found growing in the wild all around the Pixie Acres biome, including in Sundae Shores, Hundred-Acre Fields, Pixie Flats, and Hunny Falls.
Craft the Pixie Furniture Set

Now that you've got the resources you need, head to any crafting station to make the Pixie Furniture Set. Switch over to the Furniture tab to make one Floral Fairy Table and two Floral Fairy Benches.
Place the Pixie Furniture Set near Snow White's House
Locate Snow White's house wherever you previously chose to place it, open Furniture mode, click on the Tinker Bell icon, and place down one Floral Fairy Table and two Floral Fairy Benches. Be sure to put them fairly close to Snow White's home to progress.
Talk to Merlin
After placing the required items near Snow White's, wait for Merlin to show up. Depending on where he is when you complete this step, it might take a bit, but you need to have him meet you there to progress. Once he does arrive, chat with Merlin. He'll make you the Tiny Pixie Furniture Set you need, so you can now track down Snow White to give it to her.
Talk to Tinker Bell
It's been a bit since you've seen Tinker Bell, so head back into the Wishblossom Heart to chat with her. You can find the entrance to this hidden area through the stone archway sitting between the bridge that leads into Wishing Way and the one that leads over to Wishblossom Ranch.
Talk to Tigger
Tigger was in charge of gathering games for the party, but he never showed up with them. Tinker Bell asks you to talk to Tigger to see what happened and get the party planning festivities back on track.
Locate and dig out the party games in Pixie Flats and Sundae Shores

Tigger thought burying the games was the game, so you now need to locate and dig out the party games in the Pixie Acres region. There are two games to find, both of which need to be dug up using your Royal Shovel.
The quest objective tells you to look in Pixie Flats and Sundae Shores, but in my valley, I found both in the pathway that leads from Modish Marsh into Sundae Shores, where you previously entered this biome during the Bounce Up, Never Down quest.
The exact spawn location of the two games may vary for everyone, though, so be sure to check around both Pixie Flats and Sundae Shores to find yours. You're looking for a Bowling Set and a Board Game, both of which are sticking out of the dog spot, making them easy to spot from afar.
Enter the Wishblossom Heart
Now that you've got the games, it's officially time for the party to begin, so head back to the Wishblossom Heart to get the party started. Chat with Tinker Bell once you're inside to pass over the games you found.
She's finally ready to move into the valley as a proper villager, but first, she wants you to take a picture of her with the heart. Have another chat with Tinker Bell to show her the photo once you take it.
Decorate Pixie Acres

It's time to get Tinker Bell officially moved in by decorating Pixie Acres to suit her. Open Furniture mode and click on the Tinker Bell quest icon to place her house somewhere in this biome. There's also an optional objective to place three items with the cute and rustic tags around to decorate a bit more, but you can also skip this step entirely.
Since you built Tinker Bell's house yourself, there's no Star Coin fee you have to pay Scrooge McDuck for it. Instead, as soon as you place it, a cutscene will play as she's officially unlocked as a villager. Chat with Tinker Bell one more time after this to officially complete the Home Is Where the Heart Is quest.

To complete The Decay quest, you need to increase your bond with Pegasus, gather some helpful protective accessories, and venture to the Decay island to put a stop to it once and for all. There's a lot to get done, and the fate of Wishblossom Ranch is at stake, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to do.
The first big step Tinker Bell gives you in this quest is building your friendship with Pegasus until you reach level five. It takes quite a lot of XP to reach this point, so it's best to chip away at this task slowly over time rather than trying to get it done in one go.

You can earn horse and mount XP by feeding them, petting them, brushing them, riding them, working on valley tasks with them, and jumping over obstacles with them. You'll earn a lot of XP passively by simply using your trusty mount to get around and tackle missions, so level five will come naturally over time.
Talk to the Wishblossom Ranch villagers
Once you've reached the XP requirement with Pegasus, track down Snow White around the ranch for a chat. She has a present to help prepare you for the journey ahead, and so do the other villagers around the island. Meet up with Cruella to talk with her next. Lastly, track down Tigger to chat and receive the gift he's got for you.
Put on your new accessories
Each of the three main Wishblossom Ranch villagers gave you a special accessory to help protect you on the dangerous journey you're about to endure, so put on the Hope Necklace, Ambition Bracelet, and Dream Earrings. All of them can be found on the Wardrobe page and can be selected by clicking the Tinker Bell quest icon.

Talk to the Giant Wishblossom in the Heart
Now that you're properly dressed for the daunting journey ahead, head to the Giant Wishblossom in the Heart to get going. You can find this massive flower through the stone archway between the bridge that leads to the Wishblossom Ranch area and the bridge that takes you over to Wishing Way. Chat with them once you arrive.
Break all the Decay crystals at the entrance to the island
You've made it to the heart of the Decay, a strange new island you now need to navigate through. First, break three Decay crystals near the entrance where you landed. As soon as you do, a wind tunnel will appear at the end of the path, allowing you to use Pegasus to fly to the next area.
Break all the Decay crystals on the first Crystal Island
On the first Crystal Island, you'll encounter a Wishblossom of Hope. They ask you to clear away all Decay crystals that have popped up around their island, so mount up and make your way around the area, breaking a total of five Decay crystals as you go. A second wind tunnel you can ride using Pegasus will appear near the edge of the island once all the crystals are destroyed.

Break all the Decay crystals on the second Crystal Island
You've landed on another island, this time one that is home to the Wishblossom of Ambition. They need you to find and break five more Decay crystals around the area before you can progress. Then, approach the next wind tunnel near the end of the island while riding Pegasus to fly over to the next location.
Break all the Decay crystals on the third Crystal Island
The third Wishblossom you encounter is the Wishblossom of Dreams, and after you land and chat with them, it's once again time to break five Decay crystals. As soon as you do, the massive Decay crystal hovering over the ranch will break, and the Decay quest will officially be complete.
