Magic: the Gathering is sharing all the details about the plethora of new and returning gameplay mechanics featured in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover set. The globally popular trading card game from Wizards of the Coast has gone all-in on its array of crossovers throughout the past year, bringing in a wide variety of new franchises. Magic: the Gathering's Final Fantasy collaboration launched as the first Standard-legal crossover set in June 2025, while the following months brought cards based on Spider-Man and Avatar the Last Airbender. Now, another big crossover is on the way soon.

Magic: The Gathering is entering a new era, as its Avatar: The Last Airbender set officially came out just a few days ago, and several formats are now changing, both due to the new cards and the bans on November 10. The November 10 bans for Magic: The Gathering hit Standard the most, completely killing the infamous Izzet Cauldron deck that was dominating all tournaments. Now that the Avatar set is out, the meta for each format is inevitably being reshaped, and some cards are already proving to be extremely powerful — maybe even a tad too much. The most notable example is Badgermole Cub right now, but another can be made for a different Mythic rare, such as Wan Shi Tong, Librarian.

One of the preconstructed Commander decks released earlier this year as part of Magic: The Gathering’s Final Fantasy crossover has just hit an all-time low price on Amazon.
