WoWhas multiple classes for players to choose from and a lot of them come with the healer specialization. Some of them are easy to use while others are a bit hard.
If you are new to the game and would like to start as a healer then choosing a class that is easy-to-play is essential if you want to perform your role well. Healers have gone through a lot of changes throughout the history of the game and will probably do so in the future as well.
But in this guide, I will show you the best healer classes that are currently the easiest to use.
Best Healer Classes For New Players in The War Within
Out of all the healer classes in the game, there are 4 right now that a new player can easily get into. Although playing as them is easy, fully mastering them on the other hand will definitely take time and effort.
Holy Priest
The Holy Priest is a ranged healer with a reactive style of play which suits new players very well. This class is pretty good in providing single target healing with okay group healing capabilities. Has a good amount of spells so mastering them will take some time but overall this spec is very easy to play.
Restoration Shaman
One of the best healing specs to play in the first season of The War Within is Restoration Shaman. And due to the recent changes and significant reduction of the button bloat, it has become quite beginner friendly.
Restoration Shaman is also a ranged healer with good AOE healing abilities and an exception toolkit which is pretty flexible. The abilities have short cooldowns so you will have to be aware of your mana utilization. If the Holy Priest is not your style then you can not go wrong with the Restoration Shaman.
Holy Paladin
As a Holy Paladin, you build up your Holy Power through Judgment or Crusader Strike. Then spend that Holy Power to use various types of healing abilities which excel at spot and single target healing. Lacks in healing allies that are spread far due to heavy reliance on Light of Dawn ability for AOE healing. However, this spec has good damage reduction abilities.
The Holy Paladin relies on a melee style of gameplay so it is a bit harder to use compared to the two specs mentioned above. If you have no problems using a melee healer then this is a good option as well.
Mistweaver Monk
Out of all the specs I mentioned, Mistweaver Monk is the hardest. It is a little harder to play than Holy Paladin. But it is still relatively easier to play when compared to some other healing specs in the game.
Mistweaver Monk is also a melee based healer with exceptional burst AOE healing capability. Depending on what you need, Mistweaver Monk can excel in both, group and tank healing. The trickiest part for new players with this spec is going to be mana management.
These 4 healing classes are the easiest to use for newcomers and you can choose whichever appeals to you the most without any worry. One more thing that can help you out immensely are addons. Check our list for the top 10 addons for The War Within.
The War Within expansion pack of WoW is right around the corner and you might be wondering which addons will work well with it. If so, then you are in the right place.
Addons make the game easier and more fun to play but there are way too many addons out there. Selecting which ones to install can easily baffle a player. To help you out with that, I will give you a list of top 10 addons that you must have.
Addons are useful but if you install a lot of them, it can slow down your game or even result in bugging your game entirely. Ten is the sweet spot and you will not require any other addons than the ones mentioned below.
Leatrix Plus
Leatrix Plus allows you to change your interface to suit your needs and it also comes with a lot of cool automation features. The automation features in particular are very time saving.
Such as automatically selling all the junk you have when you interact with a vendor or getting your gear automatically repaired when it is possible. Other than that, there’s also a faster loot option which you should enable as well to save even more time.
BtWQuests
BtWQuestssimply put is a quest journal that neatly shows all the quests of different campaigns in the game, both current and future ones.
It shows how different quests are linked with each other and what you need to complete in order to progress in a questline. You can also see what rewards you will get for completing quests in advance. And all of this is packed in an easy to use interface.
Dialogue UI
If you are not a fan of the default quest interface then Dialogue UI is a simple fix for that. It gives it a cleaner look with two modes, light and dark. With it, you can easily accept a quest by pressing Spacebar or decline it with the “Esc” key.
Leveling Guide Restedxp
If you want to level up faster then Leveling Guide Restedxp is the addon for you. It has different ways of leveling up and you can choose whatever you prefer.
Since it is developed by some of the best players of WoW, you will be guaranteed to level up in a very fast manner. On top of that, it has a plethora of other options such as marking enemies or items you need, automatically skipping cutscenes and accepting new quests, etc.

OmniCDis a lightweight addon which can be used to track the cooldown of any spell in the game. You can also track the cooldowns of your party members which is pretty helpful in raids. You can tell what skills your party members used and act accordingly.
Details!
One of the most widely used addons in WoW is Details!. It provides a comprehensive breakdown of all the damage you deal. Such as what ability did the most damage, what mob was the damage done to, which buffs helped out with it, you get the picture. And all of this can be tracked in real time with customizable bars.
But damage done is not the only thing that can be tracked with this addon, you can also track other stuff such as, damage taken, healing done, mana restored and a whole lot more!
RareScanner
RareScanner is an addon that detects rare NPCs, treasure or events nearby you. It shows this through a button on the screen which gives more information if you click on it.
Other than that, it also adds markers on your world map for all the rare NPCs, treasures and events. And clicking on those markers reveals further information about them. It is also capable of showing spawn locations of entities that you want to track.
BigWigs
If you have trouble fighting bosses in the game then the BigWigs addon can help you out with that. It gives you information on various encounters in the form of alert messages, sounds, or even timers so you can avoid or deal with them before they happen. You will know in advance what moves a boss is going to use and in what amount of time.
WeakAuras
WeakAuras is a pretty famous addon that can be used to show or track pretty much everything you could want in the game. What makes it even better is that you can import other players’ custom profiles and use it without having to come up with your own.
There are a lot of different profiles available out there for various purposes. The best place to get them is from Wago.io.
BetterBags
BetterBags is a replacement addon for the default bag system of WoW. It is far better than the original because of its clean look with multiple categories. You can easily search for an item by using its search bar. And if you want, you can also create custom categories.
And these were all the top 10 addons that you should definitely try out! On a different note, if you are a beginner and want to dabble as a healer then check out our guide on which healer classes are the easiest to use.

If you simply want to choose the strongest class for your main in WoW: The War Within, you have 5 different classes that are generally considered the best right now.
This is all based on what we know from the beta for The War Within and previews, of course. There are a lot of massive balance changes coming, not to mention the new Hero Talent mechanic!
But, let’s cut right to the chase, shall we? Let’s now take a look at the 5 best classes you should main in WoW: The War Within.
The Dracthyr continue to dominate the meta with their exclusive Evoker class, which is easily one of the best classes in WoW: The War Within. They provide the most utility out of all classes with their Augmentation spec, while also being fantastic Healers with the Preservation spec.
Augmentation overall is possibly the single most useful Class Spec in the entire game right now. It allows the Evoker to provide insane buffs to every other role. More damage for DPS, more survivability for Tanks, and more Mana for Healers… what more could you possibly want from a single class? Besides, the Evoker is also quite capable of dishing out solid damage on its own on top of that.
Preservation, while not quite as game-changing as Augmentation, does make the Evoker into a top-tier Healer. It’s a very unique Healer spec as well, due to its slower pace: you’ll rely on charging up spells to provide massive healing in bursts. These powerful healing spells also have a large AoE, making it easy to keep your entire party topped up no matter how hectic things get.
Simply put, Evoker might be the singular best class in the game currently!
Death Knight
As you might have heard from anyone playing The War Within’s beta, Death Knight is easily one of the best classes in the game currently. Whether you go for the DPS specs (Frost, Unholy) or the Tank spec (Blood), this class has earned its spot at the top of the meta.
All their Hero Talents are pretty great as well and work extremely well with the Death Knight’s innate strengths. This is very important, considering that Hero Talents is a new mechanic in The War Within and some classes weren’t as lucky as Death Knights.
Death Knight is a class with a lot of potential builds and playstyles, as well. You can play as a vampiric Tank who relies on dealing damage to boost their health and strength or you can choose to summon demonic forces to aid you in battle, for example. No matter what, you’ll have some of the best survivability and damage output in The War Within!
Mage
If you’re all about spellcasting, Mage is your best bet for a spellcasting DPS. All 3 of its specs are DPS-focused, and all 3 of them are currently extremely strong. This ensures that the class has long-lasting power and shouldn’t have to worry about any upcoming balance changes, making it an easy pick for one of the best classes in WoW: The War Within.
Similar to the Death Knights, Mages were also blessed with 3 strong sets of Hero Talents as well. These further bolster the Mage’s innate strengths. As you might notice from this list, this is a common trend for all of the best classes in The War Within! These Hero Talents are extremely important.
The only real downside for Mages is that you really do need to master them. Their overwhelming DPS potential comes at the cost of low survivability. However, you’ll easily dominate all your foes if you can overcome these skill issues. Good Mage players are always guaranteed a spot for Raids due to their insane damage output.
Warrior
Say what you will about how straightforward the Warrior class is to play, you can’t deny that it brings results. This class is all about Melee DPS with the Arms and Fury specs, but the Protection spec can also turn them into a top-tier Tank. Just like with the other best classes in The War Within, all of the specs are viable and extremely strong.
If you go the DPS route, you’ll be dishing out millions of damage with fairly simple skill rotations that are easy to manage. If you choose to be a Tank, your ability to take damage will be second only to Paladins and you also don’t rely too much on Healers. Either way, you’ll be a key asset to any party you’re in!
There are very few downsides to the Warrior currently, and this is definitely the best class for anyone who likes straightforward Melee DPS. If we had to come up with a weakness, you could say that their simplicity means they have very low build variety and they don’t provide much utility to parties. But if that’s no issue for you, Warrior has basically no downsides.
Shaman
A bit of a surprise, the Shaman class has been climbing the ranks of best classes in WoW: The War Within as we approach the full launch. It has received a lot of fantastic buffs and reworks during the beta, making it into a meta favorite.
It has the potential to Tank no matter its spec as well as provide high DPS with the Elemental or Enchantment specs. What’s more, it can also turn into a top-tier healer with the Restoration spec. That said, the DPS specs seem to be earning the most favor right now simply due to how strong they are currently.
Another thing that makes the Shaman shine is their ability to lay out totems across the battlefield. These totems provide excellent utility to the party, be it by providing Crowd Control, healing, or even deflecting enemy attacks. The new Totemic Hero Talent tree also makes these totems stronger and easier to use, making Shaman shine brighter than ever!
But well, that was the last class on our list of the top 5 best classes to main in WoW: The War Within. If you want a more general and less meta-focused look at all the classes, check out our class picking guide for The War Within.
It’s important to make sure your character is properly ready to take on the new expansion. You should clean your bags of junk and get useful consumables ahead of time, for example. Minimize having to waste time on release instead of playing the new content.
In this guide, we’ll give you tips on how to do just that. We’ll tell you how to make sure that you can be ready to fully enjoy The War Within the exact second it becomes available!
If there’s one thing you’ll need once WoW: The War Within releases, it’s Gold. What you won’t need is junk items cluttering your bags and making resource gathering needlessly cumbersome. So, it’s a good idea to kill two birds with one stone: start selling all your unnecessary items in the Auction House right now.
This is doubly true if you played through the Dragonflight expansion, as the items from that expansion seem to be selling quite well currently. Either way, we also recommend taking out any useless items you have in your Warband Bank and selling them too. You want as much free space for new items as possible! Make sure to do this on all of your characters, as well.
Get Useful Items
Got rid of all the junk and earned some Gold already? Use that Gold to get any consumables that you’ll need for leveling. Remember, The War Within will raise the Level Cap in WoW to 80 upon release, so you should prepare to level up.
The main items to get are stat-raising Flasks, such as the Phial of Tepid Versatility, for example. This is especially true if you start replacing your gear with new loot from The War Within and get unfavorable stats. Use the boosting Flasks to temporarily increase any stats you need as you keep Leveling, it’ll make the whole process faster.
Make sure you get items that aid mobility, as well. Sure, Skyriding will be the main way to travel in The War Within, but it’s not always available. For those instances, you’ll want to have items like the Goblin Glider Kit and Gunshoes. We also highly recommend Light-Step Hoofplates, as they make your mount faster. You know how it is: the faster you can get around, the more efficiently you’ll be completing quests and leveling up.
If you still have unfinished quests leading up to the release of WoW: The War Within, you might want to prepare by getting rid of them. Complete any quests you actually want to do and have the time for, but remember that the expansion’s launch is quickly approaching!
As for any quests you don’t want to bother with or simply don’t have the time for… abandon them all. Empty out your quest log so that you can fill it exclusively with quests from The War Within later. It’ll make it much easier to track your progress in the expansion. Besides, you can always return to do the quests you abandoned later.
Take Part in the Radiant Echoes Event
The War Within’s pre-patch event is currently ongoing, called “Radiant Echoes.” This event started on July 30th and will last until August 26th, ending as soon as The War Within releases.
This event is mainly meant for catching up with any alts that you didn’t play much during Dragonflight. Nonetheless, it’s worth doing even if that doesn’t apply to you. It grants loads of Veteran ILvl 480 gear, the “This Takes Me Back” Feat of Strength, the “Band of Radiant Echoes” Heirloom Ring, a couple of Warband-bound bags, and even some battle pets and mounts. Don’t miss out on these goodies, go do the event while you can.
Optimize Your Game Settings
If you’ve been playing World of Warcraft for a while, you should know what to expect once The War Within releases. The floodgates will open and lots of players new and old will start rushing into the game, causing massive lag spikes and other performance issues.
There’s not much you can do about the masses of players jumping into the game, but you can try to minimize its effects on your client’s performance. Disable add-ons you don’t really need and lower your graphics settings as much as possible. It’s better to make sure that the game runs well during the expansion’s launch, even if you’re gaming in potato mode for a bit!
Log Out at Dalaran
Once you feel you’re done and don’t need to prepare anymore for the release of WoW: The War Within, just go to Dalaran and log out there. Dalaran is the starting point for The War Within, based on the information we know from the beta and various previews. Having your character parked there will make getting into the expansion much quicker!
Additionally, we do recommend logging into all of your characters after The War Within releases and the Level Cap is raised to 80. Just log in and log out if you don’t want to play with these characters so that they start getting the Rested bonus.
Other than that, though, follow all our steps and you will be all set to play The War Within expansion for WoW on release. It’s only a few days away now, it’s right around the corner!
The War Within is raising the level cap in World of Warcraft (WoW)to Level 80, so we have our best leveling tips ready to make the process less of a chore.
There are a lot of tried-and-true classics for leveling that still work, such as making sure you get the Rested bonus. However, some neat new mechanics make leveling easier in this expansion, such as the Warband Mentor system.
In this guide, we’ll give you our best leveling tips for WoW: The War Within so that you can get that Level 80 cap in no time flat!
We’ve covered this before in our guide on how to prepare for the release of The War Within, but it’s worth repeating here. Once you have amassed a decent amount of Gold, you need to get items that’ll make the leveling process less of a pain.
Sure, Skyriding is the main way to travel in The War Within, but it’s not always available. For those instances, you’ll want to have items like the Goblin Glider Kit and Gunshoes. We also highly recommend Light-Step Hoofplates, as they make your mount faster. You know how it is: the faster you can get around, the more efficiently you’ll be completing quests and leveling up.
Get Rested
As a last quick tip before we dive further into this guide, make sure to get the Rested buff if you wish to maximize your XP gains. You just have to hang out with your character at inns or any city to start accumulating Rest, which will multiply your XP gain.
This also works for logged-off characters, so we recommend logging in and out of your alts and leaving them at inns or cities. Start accumulating Rest on them while you play with your main so that leveling is quicker later.
Look For Campaign Quests & Focus on Them
One noticeable change with the release of The War Within in WoW is that the quest icons on the map have been changed. Most notably, the Campaign quests now have a shield-shaped icon with an exclamation mark as shown above.
Campaign Quests are the main source of XP, as well. You’ll want to focus on doing these first of all while you’re still leveling, so familiarize yourself with the new quest icons so you can track them easily.
Do World Quests & Bonus Objectives
Completing the main Campaign for The War Within will also unlock World Quests and Events across the map. You don’t actually need to reach Level 80 to access these! You’ll also unlock Adventure Mode which gives your other characters more freedom and the Earthen Allied Race Quests.
Most importantly for Leveling here is that World Quests can give you a massive boost of XP upon completion. Simply put, you should focus on doing these if you want to level up efficiently.
Similarly, you’ll see various Bonus Objectives pop up across the map, like the example above. These are another type of World Quest and they grant massive amounts of XP when completed. Make sure that you do these whenever they are available.
Plan Out Your Side Quests
Thanks to the release of The War Within in WoW, Renown and Reputation are now Warband-bound, which makes leveling alts easier. You no longer need to complete all of the Side Quests with all of your characters. Instead, spread them out across your various characters so that they can all gain XP from completing them.
You should complete the entirety of a Covenant’s questline with a single character, however. For example, doing all quests for the Council of Dornogal on your main and all quests for the Hallowfall Arathi on an alt. That’s just to ensure that you get to see the full questline.
Anyway, the main takeaway here is that you can spread out Side Quests across characters to make it easier to level up alts. Doing so won’t punish you by making you miss out on Renown and Reputation rewards this time around!
Dive Into Delves & Dungeons
Delves are one of the first new mechanics you encounter in The War Within. They’re short instanced adventures you can complete either solo or with others, and they are a fantastic source of XP. More Delves become available as you progress through the expansion’s Campaign, and we highly recommend doing them.
Similarly, you should also complete Dungeons as part of leveling. Frankly, it’s unlikely that you’ll reach Level 80 without completing at least a few of them. Worry not, you can easily complete all of the dungeons in The War Within by using the Follower Dungeons and playing with NPCs.
Don’t Ignore Professions
Professions are, as always, part of our best leveling tips for WoW and this is still true in The War Within. Using your Profession provides a nice amount of bonus XP to your character, which is especially true for GatheringProfessions this time around.
If you want to min-max your leveling, you should pick Herbalism and Mining as your Professions. You’ll encounter many gathering nodes as you play through The War Within’s campaign and explore the new content and each single gathering node will reward you with some XP.
Alternatively, all Crafting Professions can get a lot of bonus XP whenever they craft one of the new items for the first time. However, this bonus XP seems to have a cap and should only be about 2 levels worth of XP, similar to how it worked in Dragonflight. Nothing to scoff at, though!
Alts Have It Easier
Another important part of the leveling process in The War Within is the Warband Mentor system. Anytime you get one of your characters to Level 80 they will be marked as a Warband Mentor, which makes all other characters in your Warband earn 5% more XP from all sources. That means it’s a good idea to focus on leveling up your main to 80 before you even start playing with your alts.
This catch-up mechanic is aided by things like the Adventure Mode we mentioned previously, which allows alts to do areas in any order. What’s more, your alts can skip the introductory part of the campaign if you’ve already progressed far enough with another character! Just talk to Thrall at Magni’s Encampment and choose to skip until you reach Dornogal.
But well, that’s the last on the list of our best leveling tips for WoW: The War Within. You should now know everything you need to make the leveling process smoother and hit that new Level 80 cap ASAP!
WoW: The War Within is right around the corner, so we’re sure there are lots of new and returning players eager to dive into it.
Of course, World of Warcraft is pretty challenging to get into, all things considered. It’s been around for like 2 decades now, so there’s a massive number of complex systems and content to learn about. Whether you’re new or returning, there’s a lot to learn about to get into the new expansion!
In this guide, we’ll talk about the most important things you should know about so that you can start to dive into WoW and The War Within more easily.
New / Returning Players Guide | WoW: The War Within
Classes in WoW currently have one class-wide Talent tree, but you can also choose from 1 of 3 different Specializations that provide an additional Talent tree. These two Talent trees define your character’s role and playstyle. On top of that, The War Within is also adding a third tree known as the Hero Talent tree. It’s the smaller tree shown in the middle.
These Hero Talents are based on various key characters from WoW lore and every Specialization gets to pick 1 tree out of 2. Essentially, they’re the cherry on top to expand your class. Maxing them out requires 10 Hero Talent points, which you’ll get naturally as you level up to the new Level Cap of 80. You can max out the Hero Talent tree with no worries!
Picking the right Class is important since they all play differently, so check out our class-picking guide for The War Within if you want to know what to expect from each one.
The Warband System
One of the biggest changes coming to WoW with The War Within is the Warband sytem.
To simplify things, a “Warband” refers to all of your characters collectively. That means your main and any alts you’ve created are all your Warband. All characters will able to access features like the Warband Bank, which is a loot stash shared between all your characters. Your Warband also shares certain Feats of Strength (Achievements) and other account-wide progression systems.
Most notably, The War Within is making it so that your Renown and Reputation are shared by your Warband. Renown and Reputation are a progression system tied to completing the quests for various factions across the expansion, and their rewards will now be shared amongst all your characters. For the most part, that means you no longer need to complete all side quests with all your characters!
In short, the Warband system is an account-wide progression system that makes it easier for you to maintain multiple characters.
Dungeon Difficulties
Dungeons in WoW: The War Within currently come in 3 basic difficulties. From easiest to hardest, they are: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. These basic difficulties each scale up the Dungeon’s enemies to make them tougher, but they also give you much better loot.
You can queue up for Normal and Heroic Dungeons from anywhere by using the Dungeon Finder tool. Just press the “I” key to bring it up. Mythic dungeons require you to make groups yourself and manually go to the dungeon, however.
You can also clear certain dungeons as Follower Dungeons. These will let you select NPCs to fill your party instead of players, but they work the same as regular dungeons otherwise.
Aside from those basic difficulties, there’s also Mythic+ which is exclusively for endgame content. To enter these Dungeons, at least one player in your party must have a Mythic Keystone. You can get Mythic Keystones by completing regular Mythic dungeons, participating in Mythic+ Dungeons led by others, or purchasing them from Keystone Vendors in cities.
Mythic+ Dungeons rotate every season, but there are always 8 different ones to choose from. They are much more challenging than standard Dungeons, so be well-prepared! These dungeons require you to beat all the bosses and enough trash mobs within a time limit, so you’ll need to be efficient. Completing these dungeons will give you and your allies high-end loot.
Understanding Item Level & Item Upgrades
Besides your character’s level, you also have to pay attention to your gear’s Item Level (referred to as ILvl or ilvl). Whether you’re a new or returning player, ILvl can seem confusing in WoW: The War Within but it’s relatively simple.
An item’s ILvl is simply telling you how strong that item’s stats are. The higher the stats, the higher the ILvl will be. You can use it to quickly tell how good an item is at a glance when compared to other items. At the same time, the average ILvl of all your equipped gear will define your character’s ILvl. Having higher ILvl is required to be able to tackle higher-difficulty Dungeons and Raids!
Some items can also be upgraded using Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These are special currencies you get from pretty much everything. That means completing Quests of any type, Dungeons, Raids, etc. Of course, harder content will reward more of both types of currencies, but you’ll get them constantly by just playing the game.
If you’ve played the previous expansion, Dragonflight, these currencies are identical to Flightstones and Awakened Crests. They simply renamed them.
To see if an item is upgradeable, just check its description. Upgradeable items will have a text like “Upgrade Level”. This is followed by how many times it’s been upgraded and the maximum number of upgrades possible. You can visit any Item Upgrade NPC in the various cities across the game to upgrade your items. Just bring enough Valorstones and Harbinger Crests and upgrade to increase an item’s level!
Returning Players: Understand the Level Squish
One big oddity that returning players will notice in WoW: The War Within is that their level is now different than it used to be. That’s because the Shadowlands expansion introduced a “level squish”, reducing the Level Cap from 120 back to 60.
While it was a controversial change, it was done to make numbers more manageable and speed up the leveling process going forward. However, it does mean that your old characters will no longer be at the max level if you had reached it pre-Shadowlands!
What’s more, the release of The War Within will raise the Level Cap further to Level 80. If you want to get up to speed by reaching the level cap, check out our best leveling tips for WoW: The War Within!
Nonetheless, that brings us to the end of our WoW: The War Within guide for new and returning players. We hope this helps you dive into the game and its latest expansion a bit more easily, but there’s still a lot more to see and learn in this incredibly deep game.
The latest update for Enshoruded has added a ton of new content to the game, including a number of different collectible fossils. Fossils in this game are unique items that can be found all across Embervale. While some are easy to find, most fossils can be pretty challenging to find.
In this guide, we will be looking at where you can find every fossil in the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes biomes. If you are someone who loves collecting unique items, make sure you don’t miss any of the fossils in these areas.
All Fossils in the Nomad Highlands & Kindlewastes Biomes
There are a total of 7 fossils located in the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes biomes. Our guide will look at the exact location of each fossil on your map, and where you can find these fossils. So without further delay, let’s get straight into it.
For the Sharp Shark Tooth, you will need to make your way to Smothering Pit.
Once you are there, look for a cave entrance with a torch inside it. The image above shows the cave you need to go inside.
Follow the path that leads into this cave, and you will eventually find yourself in front of a Tin deposit. The Sharp Shark Tooth is buried within this deposit, so you will need to mine your way to it.
Use your pickaxe to mine the Tin Deposit, and after a few hits to it, you will be able to collect the Shark Shark Tooth.
Fossil 2 – Dull Shark Tooth
For the next fossil, you will need to make your way to the waypoint marked on the map above. This location is just south of the Cradle of Dusk.
When you get to the marked location, use the staircase there to make your way down.
Once you are down, mine your way through the rublle infront of you to get to the Dull Shark Tooth.
With most of the rubble gone, you can easily collect the Dull Shark Tooth.
Fossil 3 – Larger Sea Lily Fossil
To get the Larger Sea Lily Fossil, you will need to make your way to the Mining Rift location.
When you get to the Mining Rift, look for a wall with a metal fence on it that you can use to climb. The image above shows the wall you need to use.
After climbing the wall, you will see a deposit on a platform ahead. The fossil we are looking for is burried within this deposit.
When you get to the platform, you can clear the deposit by shooting at the explosive barrels next to the deposit. You can shoot the barrels using your bow and arrow.
With the deposit clear, you will find the Larger Sea Lily Fossil right in front of you, allowing you to collect the fossil.
Fossil 4 – Smaller Sea Lily Fossil
The Smaller Sea Lily Fossil can be found very close to the larger one. You will need to make your way to the waypoint marked on the image above. This place can be found a little bit to the east of the Mining Rift.
At the location, you will find a wooden structure in front of you. Climb this structure to get to the fossil.
The Smaller Sea Lily Fossil is burried beneath the rocks right next to a tree.
Like before, use your pickaxe to clear up the rocks and access the fossil waiting for you beneath the rocks.
Fossil 5 – Prawn Fossil
For the Prawn Fossil, you will need to make your way to the Ternion Mine. This is a brand new location which was added to the game with the latest update.
Inside the Ternion Mines, the fossil can be found on top of rocks that have sulfure on then. You wont need to do any mining here, as the fossil will be clearly visible when you are in front it..
Fossil 6 – Fish Fossil
To get the Fish Fossil, you will need to go to the Sun Temple.
While the fossil can be found inside the temple, you will need to complete a short puzzle to get into the Sun Temple. All you need to do here is shoot the 3 swithces surrounding the Sun Temple entrance. You will find the first switch on the left side of the Sun Temple door.
The second switch is found on the right side of the temple door.
For the final switch, instantly turn backwards after activating the second switch, and you will find the last switch above you.
As soon as you enter the temple, look to your left and you will find a pile of rubble there. The Fish Fossil is inside a room on the other side of this rubble. You can mine through this rubble by using your always reliable pickaxe.
The room behind the rubble will have the Fish Fossil, but alongside that, there will also be an enemy here. Its best to deal with this enemy before going for the fossil.
Fossil 7 – Crab Fossil
To get the Crab Fossil, you will need to make your way to the point marked on the map above.
Once you are at the marked location, you will need to go through a pair of large doors leading into a dungeon.
You will encounter a bunch of enemies and a boss fight here. If you are interested in quickly getting the Crab fossil and getting out of here, you can simply run past these enemies. Once you are past these enemies, climb the wall in front of you to get the fossil.
The Crab fossil can be found in the chest located at the end of this area.
So there you have it, a complete guide on where to find each fossil located within the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes biomes. For more fossil locations, check out our guide on all the fossils in the Springlands biome.
Enshrouded’s latest update has added a ton of new items in the game for you to find and collect. Fossils are new collectible items that you can find all throughout Embervale. As they are collectible items, each fossil in this game is unique and can be found at fixed locations.
In this guide, we will be looking at all the fossils that you can find in Embervale’s Springlands Biome.
All Fossils in the Springlands Biome
The Springlands Biome in Embervale has a total of 5 different fossils that you can find and collect. All of these fossils are spread out around the biome, with some being very difficult to find.
For our guide, we will be looking at the map location for each fossil, and alongside that, where to mine them from. So, without further ado, let’s get straight into it.
For the Big Ammonite fossil, you will need to make your way to the Saline Quarry area. This area can be found just east of the Cinder Vault.
You will find the Big Ammonite on top of a salt deposit at the marked location. Once you’ve found the Big Ammonite, you can collect it by simply walking up to it and pressing E on your keyboard.
Fossil 2 – Sea Urchin Cluster
The map above shows the exact location of the Sea Urchin Cluster. You can get to this point by traveling southwest from the Low Meadows Ancient Spire.
Once you get to the marked location, you will see a wooden structure in front of you. Climb onto it to get to the Sea Urchin Cluster.
Climbing the structure will lead you straight to the Sea Urchin Cluster. Like before, you can get this fossil by simply collecting it.
Fossil 3 – Elevated Sea Urchin
For the Elevated Sea Urchin, you will need to travel a little bit to the south from the Low Meadows Ancient Spire.
Unlike the fossils we’ve seen so far, the Elevated Sea Urchin can be a bit hard to find. This is due to the fossil being well hidden between a bunch of rocks. The image above shows the exact cluster of rocks you need to go up to collect the Elevated Sea Urchin.
Fossil 4 – Ammonite Imprint
For the Ammonite Imprint, you will need to make your way to the Critter Nest seen on the map above. You can find this nest right next to the Egerton Salt Mines.
In order to get inside the Critter Nest, start at the southern entrance of the Egerton Salt Mines and follow the path in front of you.
Following this path will get you to a wooden ledge. Drop all the way down from here using the platforms in front of you.
Once you are down, follow the path marked in the image above.
Following this path will eventually lead you to a set of wooden stairs. Make your way up these stairs and you will find the entrance to the Critters Nest right in front of you.
Enter the nest and drop down to find the Ammonite Imprint waiting for you on the wall in front of you.
Fossil 5 – Round Sea Urchin
For the final fossil in the Springlands Biome, make your way to the waypoint highlighted in the image above. You can get to this point by traveling northwest from Ancient Spire – Springlands.
Once you get to the marked location, you will find a cave entrance that will be blocked by a bunch of rubble. The Round Sea Urchin is buried inside this rubble, so you will need to mine your way to it.
Hitting the rubble 2-3 times with your pickaxe will clear up most of it, allowing you to collect the Round Sea Urchin.
Enshrouded has a ton of cool armor sets that you can find and collect, and the game’s latest update has just added another extremely strong armor set. The Elite Hollow armor set has great stats and also looks pretty slick when worn.
That said, the full armor set can be a bit difficult to get. The pieces are all found in different locations, with some being extremely well hidden. Our guide will look at where each individual armor piece can be found.
How to Get the Elite Hollow Armor Set
Like most armor sets in Enshrouded, the Elite Hollow armor set is made up of 5 different armor pieces.
Helmet
Gloves
Boots
Pants
Chest Plate
All 5 armor pieces can be found inside the Kindlewastes Hollow Halls location. So where in the Hollow Halls can each armor piece be found?
For the Elite Hollow helmet, turn left into the first big hallway you find inside the Hollow Halls.
From here, you will need to go all the way to the end of this path. You can use your glider to make this journey much quicker.
Following the path will lead you to a ledge with a drop below. Use your glider to make your way down from here. When landing below, avoid landing on the bright red surface, as landing there will deal damage to you.
Once you are down, you will need to enter a small hidden chamber, the door for which can be found on the wall you just came down from. The image above shows what this door looks like.
The path inside the chamber is pretty linear. You will need to make your way down using a ladder, after which you will need to find a wall with a small opening in it.
Go inside the small opening, and you will find the chest containing the Elite Hollow Helmet. Take the helmet from inside the chest and make your way outside the chamber the same way you came in from.
Gloves
After exiting the chamber, turn right and climb onto the bridge in front of you.
Once you are on the bridge, follow the path in front of you until you reach a ledge.
Like before, you must use your glider to cross the area before you. The path here will be quite long, but it is pretty straightforward.
Following the path on your glider will eventually lead you to the part of the Hollow Halls seen in the image above.
As soon as you land here, you will be able to see a door on your left side. This door leads to the chest containing the Elite Hollow gloves, but this door will be locked, so you will need to unlock it to go inside.
To open this door, you will need to use your bow and arrow to shoot at the 2 switches above the door. The image above shows both of the switches you need to shoot at.
Doing that will open up the locked door, allowing you to go inside and take the Elite Hollow gloves from the chest there.
Boots
With the gloves in your possession, go back outside the door you just opened, and continue your journey into the Hollow Halls.
Keep on going straight here until you reach a point where there will be one hallway to your right and one to your left. You will need to go right from here to get to the boots.
Following the path in front of you will take you straight to the boots. The Elite Hollow boots can be found inside the tomb here. Take the boots from inside the tomb and make your way back towards the place you turned right from.
Pants
For the Elite Hollow Pants, you will need to turn left from the point where you turned right for the boots.
As soon as you turn left, look to your right and you will see a hallway that will lead you towards a staircase going down. The image above shows what this staircase looks like. You will need to go down this staircase and follow the path going deeper into the Hollow Halls.
The path in front of you here is fully linear, and you will need to follow this path until you can’t go straight anymore. From there, turn right and make your way up using a staircase.
The way forward from here will require you to climb up quite a bit. That said, the path in front of you is pretty straightforward.
Eventually, you will find yourself in front of a room with a bunch of electric traps inside it. These traps will continuously shoot out electricity, but each time they send out one projectile, you will have a small opening to go through. Wait for a trap to shoot out electricity, and as soon as it does, quickly make your way past it and wait for the next trap to do the same.
Once you get past the electric traps, keep on going forward until you reach the ledge seen in the image above. You will once again need to use your glider to make the journey down from here.
Glide through the caves, and eventually, you will find yourself on the platform shown in the image above.
Once you land on the platform, instantly turn left and you will find a small hidden platform there. The image above shows points to where this platform is.
You will find another tomb-like chest on this platform, with the Elite Hollow Pants inside this chest. Take the pants and continue on your journey through the Hollow Halls.
Chest Plate
For the chest plate, make your way through the room shown in the image above. This is the same room you went left from for the pants.
Keep going forward from here until you reach a ledge with a wall in front of you that you can climb. Jump onto the wall and climb up using it.
You will eventually get to a ledge where you will be able to use your grappling hook to go forward. Unlike the other grappling hooks in these Hollow Halls, this grappling hook does not have a platform that you can land on. Instead, you will quickly need to use your grappling hook again to attach yourself to another point.
There are 4 points over here that you must use your grappling hook on, after which you can jump onto a platform.
As soon as you land on the platform, turn left and look up to find a ledge there. You can use your grappling hook to get on to this ledge.
Once you are on that ledge, look behind you and jump onto the climbable wall. Climb all the way to the top of this wall and keep going forward until you reach a ledge.
To go forward from the ledge, you will once again need to use your glider.
This is probably the longest path through which you will need to use a glider. That said, the path is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. Just make sure you have enough stamina for the journey.
The way forward after you land is fully straight. There will be a ton of enemies here though, so be prepared for them when going through this area.
Right at the end of this area, you will finally find the chest containing the last armor piece. With the Elite Hollow chest plate in your possession, your full armor set will be complete.
So there you have it, a thorough guide on where to find the complete Elith Hollow armor set in Enshrouded.
Update 0.7.3.0. for Enshrouded has added a bunch of neat collectibles you can find around the world, such as all the fossils in the Revelwoods biome.
These fossils are required for the new “Finding Fossils” quests, though they don’t really do much by themselves. They’re simply neat collectibles that you can find while exploring and display at your base!
In this guide, we’ll tell you all of the known locations for fossils in the Revelwoods biome.
All Fossils in the Revelwoods Biome | Enshrouded 0.7.3.0
There are four fossils in the Revelwoods Biome in Enshrouded. They are the Gastropods, Single Gastropod, Trilobites, and Trilobite Imprint.
However, you should know that none of them have a set spawn location. There are spots where fossils always spawn, but which ones you get are different for everybody. As such, we can’t tell you where to get any specific fossil!
This also means that there are actually more than 4 locations where you can find all of the Revelwoods fossils in Enshrouded. Just in case, we’ll be telling you every single location we know of!
The first location we’ll check out is the Mark of Sameth. It’s west of the Ancient Spire in the Revelwoods and it’s pretty easy to reach if you have a decent glider. Make sure to bring a pickaxe and some sort of fire, such as a Fireball spell.
Once you reach the Mark of Sameth encampment, enter it and go straight ahead going northwest. You should eventually notice a set of red barrels to your right.
Use fire on them to blow them up and to create a tiny crater.
The fossil will be in the middle of the crate after the explosion.
Location 2 – Mark of Sameth Cave
This location is also in the Mark of Sameth area, so you can check it right after the previous one. Just go back to the entrance to the Mark of Sameth encampment and look for a cave on the left cliff.
The fastest way to reach it is by climbing the cliff to the right of the Mark of Sameth camp, but it can be fairly tricky. Once you reach a high enough part of the cliff, you can just glide down into the cave.
When you’re inside the small cave, use a pickaxe to clean up the rubble behind the chest.
The fossil will appear from under the rubble! Pick it up and you’re done here.
Location 3 – Eastern Cave
This fossil location is on a non-descript cave on the eastern part of the Revelwoods biome. We’ve marked it on the map above, as well as the Ancient Spire in the Revelwoods for reference.
Simply enter the cave and check the western wall. You should find some rubble with a red glow marking the fossil.
Location 4 – Revelwoods Frontier Fissure
You can find this fossil location far to the east of the Revelwoods Ancient Spire. As you can see on the map, it’s close to a Flame Sanctum and a Catacombs. However, the spot is covered with Shroud so make sure that you’re ready to head in.
Once you’re in the area marked above, look for a fissure full of Shroud on the ground. It’ll be near a large rock covered in mushrooms and a cliff covered in crystals.
Head into the fissure and go to its northernmost part to find a large round sedimentary rock. The fossil will be sitting on top of the rock, marked by the telltale red glow.
Location 5 – Trade Outpost “Old Rye”
For this one, you will need to head into the Shroud-covered area in Revelwoods and find the Trade Outpost “Old Rye”. Due to the Shroud making it extremely hard to see in the area, we recommend following the map to find the outpost. Also, be sure you’re aptly prepared to traverse the Shroud and deal with the enemies in the area.
We recommend fast-traveling to the Ancient Spire in the Revelwoods biome and gliding down into the Shroud. It’s the fastest and easiest way to reach this trade outpost!
It can be hard to see in the area, but you’re likely to find the Trade Outpost “Old Rye” by looking for the red glow of the items inside.
Once you enter the outpost, just look on the ground to find one of the fossils.
Location 6 – Spider Cave
You can find this one directly south of the Ancient Spire in the Revelwoods, inside one of the many caves in the area. Make sure to have a Grappling Hook for this one!
Once you reach the spot marked on the map, look for a cave entrance covered in bioluminescent mushrooms.
Head directly inside the cave and then take the first right you can. You should instantly see a red glow in front of you on an upper ledge. Use your Grappling Hook to pull yourself toward the ledge.
You’ll find the fossil hidden beneath the spider webs up on the ledge.
That’s all of the fossils and their locations in the Revelwoods biome in Enshrouded! There are more locations than fossils, so you shouldn’t need to visit all of these locations in one playthrough. Nonetheless, we hope this helped you get these nice collectibles!
Zhezhi is one of the upcoming Resonators for Wuthering Waves 1.2, which has everyone wondering if they should pull for her.
Not much is known about her, but we do know that she’s a master painter. As a Resonator, she’ll use her painting skills to summon allies and damage foes. She’ll serve the role of a Glacio Sub DPS, being capable of providing damage as well as support.
In this article, we’ll look at Zhezhi’s kit and help you decide if she’s worth pulling for!
Should You Pull For Zhezhi? | Wuthering Waves 1.2
Let’s get one thing out of the way first: you should definitely pull for Zhezhi if you like her. As simple as that! Whether it’s her design, character, or kit. No reason to ignore her if you already like her, right?
It’s also worth noting that Zhezhi’s kit is still not officially revealed. That means that everything we know about her kit comes from leaked information. There’s solid evidence to give credence to the leaks, but it does mean that her kit is subject to change before she’s publicly available.
That aside, let’s go over what Zhezhi brings to the table!
Breakdown of Zhezhi’s Basics
Zhezhi is a Glacio Resonator who uses Rectifiers as her weapon. Her role is Sub DPS, as she can deal solid damage in bursts but mostly relies on buffing the Main DPS. On top of that, she can summon Inklit Spirits which stay in the field even after she switches with another Resonator, which allows her to deal damage from off-field.
The main part of her kit entire kit is her Outro Skill, which provides a substantial buff to the incoming Resonator’s Resonance Skill. This means that Zhezhi excels when supporting DPS Resonators who rely heavily on their Resonance Skills, such as Jinhsi and Changli. Coincidentally, those are two of the strongest characters in the game as well!
Aside from that, her Resonance Liberation allows her to summon Inklit Spirits whenever the active Resonator deals damage. This stays active even after she switches with another Resonator. These Inklit Spirits count as a Coordinated Attack and deal Glacio DMG, adding some extra power to your main DPS’s offense.
Conclusions | Should You Pull?
Based on what we described, we definitely think that you should pull for Zhezhi if you already have a strong Main DPS in your Wuthering Waves team. But that’s only if you don’t already have a better support Resonator, such as Verina.
Zhezhi will be especially useful to players who have Jinhsi but don’t have Verina to support her. She should also work well as a Sub DPS in teams centered around Lingyang, as they’re both Glacio Resonators.
However, we think you should skip Zhezhi if you already have the Support role covered in your main team. We don’t think that Zhezhi will outshine Verina as a Support, simply put. She also won’t be as strong as a DPS to make up for the lesser Support potential.
This ultimately means that Zhezhi is somewhat niche. She’s a pretty solid character, but she’s not a must-have because others are better at her role. Pull for her if you like her or don’t have Verina to complement Jinhsi, but you can save your pulls otherwise!
Update 2.4 for Honkai: Star Rail has added a new story mission that allows you to unlock the Path of The Hunt for March 7th.
March 7th has always been a decent defensive unit thanks to the Path of Preservation. However, it seems she’s now eager to take up martial arts and fight more directly. She’ll undergo rigorous training and become worthy of following the Path of The Hunt!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock this new offensive form for March 7th.
How to Unlock March 7th Hunt Path | Honkai: Star Rail
You’ll automatically get “The Hunt” Path for March 7th as you progress through the Trailblaze Continuation Mission “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue (I)”. This mission was added to the game during patch 2.4. It should unlock once you reach Trailblaze Level 21 and it’s a continuation of the Xianzhou Luofu arc.
Since it’s a continuation of the Xianzhou Luofu arc, you should also complete the entire Xianzhou Luofu arc first. Its final mission is “Xianzhou Luofu — Obsequies Performed, A Long Road Ahead.” While you can use the Finality’s Vision feature to do the “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue (I)” early, it won’t unlock The Hunt Path for March 7th. It’ll only unlock Eidolons!
Once you’ve met the prerequisites, all you have to do is to head back to the Astral Express. There will be a computer with a message, as shown above. Interact with it to automatically start the mission.
Now, “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue (I)” is a very long mission. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete in its entirety, and it’s also pretty linear. Most of the mission involves dialogue as well, so we recommend just using the in-game quest log for guidance.
March 7th’s Training Arc: March to Mastery
Eventually, you’ll reach a point in the mission titled “March to Mastery: A Star Is Born”. You’ll switch control over to March 7th herself as she trains under Yanging and Yanli.
Complete the tutorial battle using March 7th’s The Hunt Path and you’ll instantly unlock it for permanent use!
You can now switch between The Hunt and Preservation Paths for March 7th at any time. It works the same as switching your Trailblazer’s Path. Just click on “Switch” while viewing her in the “Character Details” screen.
But well, there you have it! That’s all you need to know to unlock the Path of The Hunt for March 7th in Honkai: Star Rail. On the topic of update 2.4, we also have a guide covering all 12 new Hexanexus: Remake puzzles.
If you remember the Hexanexus puzzle in Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll likely be surprised to know that the 2.4 update has added 12 new Hexanexus: Remake puzzles to The Shackling Prison area.
These puzzles work fairly differently from the older Hexanexus puzzles, mind you. Nonetheless, they follow the same general setup. You’re given a bunch of cubes and two hint panels, make the cubes match the hints to solve them!
In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find all of the 12 Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in The Shackling Prison and how to solve each one of them.
All 12 Hexanexus Remake Puzzles | The Shackling Prison
This is the first of the Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail, so it serves as a tutorial for what to expect with all 12 of these puzzles. It’s found near the entrance to The Shackling Prison F1, as shown above.
The overall setup is similar to the original Hexanexus puzzles in the game. You have a set of cubes in the middle with some floating panels to their sides. Your goal is to ensure that the cubes in the middle match the hints given by the panels.
The main difference is that you don’t rotate the cubes this time. Instead, you have to add cubes and stack them to match the hints. Just click on any of the cubes in the middle, then click on the white cubes to add a new cube where you want. You can see how many cubes you can add in the top right corner of the screen.
If you add a cube to the wrong spot, the hint panels will turn red. You can undo a step or restart the entire puzzle by using the commands on the bottom left corner of the screen.
For this first puzzle, you just have to stack two cubes in the closest corner. It should look like the image above!
Completing these puzzles will reward you with Relics as well as a Hex Pass for each puzzle. We’ll talk more about the Hax Passes later on, as you’ll need to get at least 6 to make use of them.
Hexanexus: Remake #2
You can find this Hexanexus: Remake puzzle in the easternmost part of The Shackling Prison F1.

Hexanexus: Remake #4
For this Hexanexus: Remake puzzle, go to the southernmost part of The Shackling Prison B3.
Notice that there are two layers to this puzzle, with the topmost layer having two single cubes in each corner.
Stack one cube on top of both of those corners, using the image above as a reference.
Then place one more cube on the right side of the closest cube you just placed.
Right after you place that cube, click on it and place one final cube in the middle of the puzzle.
The final result should look like the image above.
Hexanexus: Remake #5
You can find this puzzle directly east of the previous one in The Shackling Prison B3.
First, add one cube to the furthermost side of the bottom layer of cubes.
Then, stack one more puzzle on top of the middle stack.
Lastly, add one cube to each side of the topmost cube in the stack.

Hexanexus: Remake #6
Basically halfway through these 12 Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail now! You can do this one in the northern section of The Shackling Prison B3.
First, rotate the camera to the right so that you’re seeing the opposite end of the cubes. Then click on the closest cube and place one cube on the right.
Next, click on the cube you just placed and place a second cube under it.
Lastly, rotate the camera further and click on the lone bottom layer cube. Place a cube to its left, it should be positioned below the other two cubes you already placed.
As always, use the image above as a reference for what the finished puzzle should look like.
Completing this puzzle will also get you your 6th Hex Pass. Check your messages in-game and complete the conversation with the Hex Club to be able to meet Seymour and turn them in. This will also unlock more puzzles for you to solve! For more details, we have a guide on how to use your Hex Passes.
Hexanexus: Remake #7
The second half of the puzzles will only appear once you’ve already turned in 6 Hex Passes to Seymour, as we mentioned above. They’ll reuse the locations of the first 6, so you’ll need to have completed those already. This one will appear in the northwestern part of The Shackling Prison B1, which is the same spot as puzzle #3.
To start with this one, place a stack of three cubes smack dab in the middle of the puzzle area.
Then, click on the topmost cube you just placed and put another cube on the furthest side.
Lastly, click on the last cube you placed and then place a final cube on the right side.
The finished puzzle should look like the image above. It’s a pretty simple one to kickstart the second half of Hexaneus: Remake, right?
Hexanexus: Remake #8
You can find this puzzle near the entrance in The Shackling Prison F1, in the same spot where you previously did puzzle #1.
First, stack two cubes on the leftmost end of the puzzle in the bottom layer.
Then, click on the topmost cube of the stack you just placed and put a final cube on the furthest side.
Essentially, you just have to make both ends of the puzzle connect to solve it.
Hexanexus: Remake #9
This Hexanexus: Remake puzzle in the easternmost part of The Shackling Prison F1. That’s where you previously did the 2nd puzzle if you’ve been following our guide.
To start, place a singular cube on top of the closest corner.
Then, click on the leftmost end of the bottom layer and place two cubes on the right side.
Lastly, click on the last cube you placed and stack two more cubes on top of it.
Hexanexus: Remake #10
Go to the southernmost part of The Shackling Prison B3 to find this puzzle in the same spot as #4.
To start, add one cube on top of both of the furthest cubes.
Then, turn the camera to the right so that you can see the back side of the puzzle. Add cubes to the middle and bottom layers of the backside.
Lastly, finish the top layer by adding another cube to the two you added at the start of the puzzle. Use the image above as a reference.
This one was a tad trickier than the others, that’s for sure…
Hexanexus: Remake #11
Following the trend, go east from #10 in The Shackling Prison B3 to find this one. It’s where you previously solved Hexanexus: Remake puzzle #5.
Place one cube on the leftmost end of the puzzle, on the middle layer.
Then, click on that cube you just placed and add an extra cube to the furthest side.
From the previous cube, add yet another cube to the right side. It should be floating in the very middle part of the puzzle area.
Lastly, turn the camera around and click on the second cube you placed for this puzzle. Add the final cube under it.
Yet another puzzle solved, and it was the 11th one so far! That means there’s only one left…
Hexanexus: Remake #12
At long last, this is the last of all 12 Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in Honkai: Star Rail 2.4. It’s in the northern section of The Shackling Prison B3, which is where we previously did puzzle #6.
You start with a single cube placed for this one.
Click on that lone cube and give it some friends by stacking two cubes on top of it.
Then, rotate the camera slightly to the right so that you’re seeing the puzzle from the side. Add one cube to the closest and rightmost sides of the middle layer.
Next up, click on the single cube in the bottom layer and add two cubes to the right.
Turn the camera around back to the left so that you’re facing the puzzle straight ahead. Add two cubes to the right side of the lone cube in the topmost layer.
At long last, you’ve done it… you’ve solved all 12 Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in The Shackling Prison in Honkai: Star Rail 2.4! Make sure to return to Seymour and give him all of your Hex Passes to get a well-deserved achievement. Congratulations!
The new 2.4 update for Honkai: Star Rail lets you collect a new item known as the Hex Pass, but it doesn’t make their use too clear.
These Hex Passes are rewarded for completing the new Hexanexus puzzles in 2.4. There are 12 puzzles, with each puzzle rewarding a singular Hex Pass upon completion. But what exactly do you even use the Hex Pass for?
Well, that’s what we’re here to answer! In this guide, we’ll tell you how to use all of your Hex Passes in Honkai: Star Rail.
How to Use the Hex Pass
You can only use the Hex Pass in Honkai: Star Rail when you get sets of 6. You can get these Hex Passes by completing the new Hexanexus: Remake puzzles in The Shackling Prison as part of version 2.4 of the game. Each puzzle will give you one Hex Pass, so your first goal is to solve at least 6 of these puzzles.
Once you have at least 6 Hex Passes, check your messages in-game. Just click on the textbox icon near your minimap.
Look for a message from the Hex Club and read it. Reply to the messages and complete the conversation until you’re invited to visit the creator of Hexanexus in The Shackling Prison. This will start the “Hexanexus: Development Team Interview” mission.
For this mission, you just have to head to the spot marked on the map above. It’s the westernmost part of B1 in The Shackling Prison, most easily reachable from the Grimfrost Hold (I) Space Anchor.
Once you reach the marked spot, you’ll be able to talk with the Head Think-Tank of the Hex Club: Seymour. Talk with him and you’ll be able to trade in 6 of your Hex Passes to “interview” him about Hexanexus and how he managed to land himself in prison. This will unlock the second half of Hexanexus: Remake puzzles, as well.
Yup, that’s all you can use your Hex Pass for in Honkai: Star Rail! Kinda disappointing, huh? Well, you can at least return to Seymour once you finish all 12 Hexanexus: Remake puzzles to turn in all of the Hex Passes. Doing so will unlock the “This Cube, Our Lives” achievement and reward you with 5 Stellar Jades.
While playing through the new Rogues on the Run mission in Honkai Star Rail, you’ll come across a part in the mission that will require you to look for Xueyi’s tracks in the mess. Finding Xueyi’s tracks in the mess can be a bit tricky, as the game doesn’t tell you much other than them being in the mess.
Locating the tracks is a small part of the mission, but it is still essential. Find the tracks to progress the mission.
Look for Xueyi’s tracks in the Mess Guide
For this part of the mission, you will need to make your way to the mess inside The Shackling Prison. If you are tracking the quest, the game will guide you towards the exact location you need to go to.
Once you enter the area, make your way toward the right side of the room. The red arrow in the image above indicates where you need to look.
After turning right, you will find Xueyi leaning on the wall right next to one of the lion statues. Xueyi will be unconscious when you find her here. To progress the mission, you will need to go up to her and interact with her.
Doing this will start a cutscene, which will take you further into the mission.
So there you have it, a quick guide on what to do during this specific part of the Rogues on the Run mission. For more content related to Honkai Star Rail and its newest update, check out our guide on How to use the Hex Pass.
The Settlers of Kalguur update for Path of Exile has brought with it a ton of new content to the game, including a number of different resources that you can get for yourself. One such resource is Bismuth, a rare and valuable ore.
In this guide, we will be looking at how you can get Bismuth in Path of Exile. There are a number of different uses for this valuable ore, making it a must-have resource in Settlers of Karguul.
How to Get Bismuth
You can get Bismuth in Path of Exile by either mining it yourself or using workers to mine the ore for you. Both methods are very good at generating Bismuth, but only if you know how they work.
So how do both methods work?
Mining Bismuth
Bismuth can be mined through Bismuth deposits. You will be able to find these deposits after Act 5 in Settlers of Kalguur.
The image above shows what a Bismuth deposit looks like. To mine Bismuth from this deposit, all you need to do is go up to it and click on it.
An important thing to note is that after you mine the Bismuth, certain mobs surrounding the deposit will receive various powerful buffs. These enemies will become significantly stronger than the other enemies alongside them, so be wary of them when mining Bismuth.
As shown in the image above, the buffed enemies will have a bright outline around them. When clearing these mobs, try to take out the buffed enemy first. This will make your life much easier and help you get out of the area as soon as possible.
Using Workers to Mine Bismuth
Another way to get Bismuth in Path of Exile is by using workers to mine it for you. The new league mechanic in Kingsmarch allows you to take control of several different tasks around the city, including mining. You can hire workers and assign them to these mines to help you gather Bismuth. For more on the league system, check out our detailed guide on how the league mechanic works in POE.
To mine Bismuth using workers, you will need to upgrade your mining to rank 4. Once your mining is at rank 4, you’ll be able to assign workers to mine Bismuth. As long as you have workers assigned to mining, they will passively generate the ore for you. You will need to pay the workers hourly though, so make sure you have enough gold in your treasury.
Acquiring resources and crafting items is one of the core aspects of Pax Dei. Most of the game revolves around progressing your game by learning new crafting Skills. There are a ton of valuable resources that you will need to have in Pax Dei, some rarer than others.
One of the most valuable resources that you can get in this game is Animal Hide. Animal Hide is used to craft items all throughout the game, so you will always need to have it on hand. We will be looking at how you can get Animal Hide in Pax Dei.
How to Get Animal Hide
As of now, Animal Hide is one of the hardest resources to stack up on. The main way to get Animal Hide in Pax Dei is by killing animals found in the wild. You can get Animal Hide by killing creatures like Direwolves, Grand Old Boars, and Growlers.
Ideally, you will want to find spawn locations for these creatures, as this will allow you to farm them better. These creatures can be pretty tough to take down, especially when playing solo. Check out our guide on how to level up weapons fast in Pax Dei to make it easier to kill these enemies.
Animal Hide Uses
You will need a ton of Animal Hide all throughout the game. Animal Hide is a raw resource in Pax Dei. Most crafting recipes will require you to tan the hide using a Tanning Rack before you can use it to craft items.
Most actions related to Animal Hides will increase your Leatherworking level. Higher Leatherworking levels will allow you to craft more items and workbenches that will let you do even more with the Animal Hide that you get.
So there you have it, the best way to get Animal Hide in Pax Dei. If you are still new to the game, make sure you check out our complete beginner’s guide for Pax Dei to help you get started.
As soon as you start your journey in Pax Dei, one of the first things you’ll notice is how annoying melee combat can be in this game. It is very hard to take on multiple enemies at the same time, and a lot of mobs can deal a ton of damage.
Fortunately, you do not have to play the game as a pure melee character as the game also lets you use magic. We will be looking at how you can get fire magic in Pax Dei. Fire magic in this game will allow you to burn down your enemies from a long way away.
How To Get Fire Magic
To use magic abilities in Pax Dei, you will need to craft gear with a certain ability attached to it.
The best way to unlock fire magic fairly early on in Pax Dei is by crafting the Demon Seeker’s Bracer. This item has the Pilgrim’s Fire I ability attached to it, and wearing the bracer will allow you to cast the ability.
The Pilgrim’s Fire is a very handy spell to have on you. It allows you to hurl fireballs at enemies from a good distance. You can combine this with other magic abilities in this game and make the spell much stronger. Check out our guide onhow to get magic in Pax Dei for more on that.
How to Craft Demon Seeker’s Bracer
You can craft the Demon Seeker’s Bracer at the Leatherworking Table. Additionally, you will also need to be at least level 10 in Leatherworking to craft the item.
The ingredients needed to craft the item are:
1x To Eradicate, Abstract iv
15x Cracked Locket
4x Boiled Generic Leather
3x Leather Bands
2x Leather String
2x Wrought Iron Buckles
6x Wrought Iron Studs
Most of the items needed to craft the Demon Seeker’s Bracer are pretty standard items that you will need for a lot of different items. The 2 more difficult-to-find items are “To Eradicate, Abstract iv” and the Cracked Lockets. Fortunately, both of these can be found by killing the same type of enemies.
You will need to take down names mobs to get spells and Cracked Lockets. The image above shows an ideal location where you can get the spell required for the bracer and the Cracked Lockets.
Named mobs are generally harder to find and drops from them aren’t always guaranteed. Scan the whole area for named mobs to increase your chances of getting the items you want.
Crafting is something that you will always need to do in Pax Dei, as it is one of the game’s core mechanics. Most of the items in this game can only be crafted using workbenches. You will need different workbenches for different types of items.
Once you get a workbench for a certain Skill, you can start leveling up that Skill and craft more items. Eventually, though, you will need higher-tier workbenches to craft additional items. We will be looking at how you can unlock tier 2 workbenches in Pax Dei.
How to Unlock Tier 2 Workbench
To upgrade your workbench, you will need to craft tools through the basic version of your workbench.
So if you want to make the tier 2 Carpenters Workbench, you need to craft Carpenters Tools through your Basic Carpenter Workbench. The Basic Carpenter Workbench is the tier 1 workbench for the Carpentry Skill. Tools for other Skills can be crafter similarly.
All tools will require you to have a certain Wrought Iron ingredient, and Rawhide. For the Carpenter’s Tools, we will need
1x Wrought Iron Nails
1x Rawhide
Once you have the Carpenter’s Tools you can use them to make the Carpenters Workbench. The recipe for the Carpenters Workbench is:
1x Carpenter’s Tools
4x Fine Wood Beam
6x Fine Wooden Plank
20x Wooden Pegs
For workbenches of other Skills, just replace the Carpenter’s Tools with tools for that Skill. The other 3 ingredients will be the same.
Getting the Ingredients
Other than the tools, there are 5 other ingredients that you will need.
Wrought Iron Component
Rawhide
Fine Wood Beam
Fine Wooden Plank
Wooden Pegs
Wrought Iron Component
All of the tools will require a certain Wrought Iron component to craft them. For example, the Carpenter’s Tools require Wrought Iron Nails. You can get Wrought Iron components by going over to the Basic Forge and crafting the component you need. The image above shows this.
You can craft Rawhide through the Simple Tanning Rack. Crafting Rawhide will require you to have Large Rough Animal Hide.
Fine Wood Beam and Fine Wooden Plank
Both the Fine Wooden Beam and Fine Wooden Plank can be crafted using Heartwood. Heartwood is the tier 2 wood that you can get in Pax Dei. Check out our guide on how to unlock Heartwood in Pax Dei for more on that.
You can craft the Heartwood items using the Wood Chopping Block.
Wooden Pegs
Lastly, you will also need to have 20x Wooden Pegs for each workbench. To craft Wooden Pegs, you will need Sapwood instead of Heartwood. Sapwood is the tier 1 wood in Pax Dei, and it is the basic wood most players will have a lot of early on in the game.
Like the Fine Wood Beam and Fine Wooden Plank, Wooden Pegs can also be crafted using the Wood Chopping Block.
Once you have all the ingredients on hand, you can start upgrading your workbenches to craft more items. Alongside the tier 2 workbenches, level up your Skills as that will allow you to craft even more items.
There are tons of different Skills that you will need to utilize when playing Pax Dei. All of your Skills will have a level attached to them, and this level will basically show your proficiency at that Skill. Higher levels will allow you to craft additional items using that Skill.
One of the most important Skills in Pax Dei is Cooking, as it allows you to craft food. While Pax Dei doesn’t require eating food to stay alive, you can use food to gain some valuable bonuses. We will be looking at the fastest way to level up Cooking in this game.
How to Level Cooking Fast
The best way to level up any Skill in Pax Dei is by using it. Cooking is the same, as leveling it up will require you to cook plenty of different items. The more items you cook, the more your level increases.
You will need to have various cooking benches at your base that will allow you to cook food. The Cooking benches that you will need are:
Charcuterie Workbench
Cooking Hearth
Spit Roast
Cooking Workbench
Additionally, you will also need to have a few Water Wells nearby, as Cooking in this game will require a ton of water. Cooking benches also have higher-tier upgrades that will allow you to unlock different Cooking recipes.
Having multiple Cooking benches will let you cook different food at the same time. This will help speed up your Cooking level much faster.
Utilizing Your Teammates
Pax Dei is a multiplayer game, and other than playing solo, you can also play the game alongside other players. For your Skills, having teammates with you will allow each player in your clan to master different Skills and focus on leveling that Skill only.
So if you are your clan’s designated cook, you can solely focus on leveling up Cooking. You can also level up complementary Skills like Charcuterie when working on Cooking. Focusing on a few Skills will make leveling up those Skills much easier and faster.
Having multiple people focusing on different Skills will help your clan enjoy the benefits of a bunch of different Skills. Check out our guide on the best early-game Professions in Pax Dei to help you find the best Skills to focus on.
Other than that, having a clan will also make it easier for you to get more ingredients. You will need a lot of different ingredients when cooking, and collecting these ingredients can take a lot of time. Having a full clan that can help you gather ingredients will make the whole process much easier.
What to Cook
When Cooking, you will always want to cook food that is useful to you or to your clan. Cooking food that isn’t very valuable will increase your Cooking level, but the food you get won’t be that valuable. Focusing on useful food will let you use the food you cook and at the same time, increase your Cooking level.
What’s useful will depend on what you or your clan need. There are loads of useful items in Pax Dei, but it’s important to consider if they are useful to you. Other than that you should also look at how many resources go into making that item.
Grape Syrup for example takes very little ingredients to make and gives pretty valuable boosts. Food made through animal carcasses is also very useful, and animal carcasses can naturally be harvested whenever you run into that animal when exploring.
For more on that, check out our guide on the best foods to use in Pax Dei. This guide should help you find plenty of different useful food items that you can make and eat to gain their benefits and level up your Cooking.
There are tons of different resources that you can find in Pax Dei, with some more rare than others. Wood is the most important resource that you can get in Pax Dei. It is used to craft and build a number of different things, so you will need to have a lot of it.
For our guide, we will be looking at how to unlock Heartwood. Heartwood is the better version of the normal wood that you can find all across Pax Dei. As you progress through the game, you will naturally need more Hardwood to build better structures and craft better items.
How to Unlock Tier 2 Wood – Heartwood
Heartwood can be harvested through medium-sized trees. These trees are rarer than regular trees, but they can still be found all across the map.
The highlighted region in the image above shows an area where you can find medium-sized trees. To cut down these trees, you will need to have an Iron Picaxe. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, don’t worry as we will cover exactly what you need to do to unlock it.
Unlocking Iron Pickaxe
You will need a lot of Iron to unlock the Iron Pickaxe. Make sure you check out our guide on where to find Iron in Pax Dei to get all the Iron that you will need.
In order to craft the Iron Pickaxe, you will need to have:
Basic Carpenting Workbench
Basic Blacksmith Workbench
Basic Weapon Smith Workbench
We will be looking at how you can craft all 3 of these workbenches in Pax Dei.
Basic Carpenting Workbench
For the Iron Pickaxe, You will need to have a Basic Carpenting Workbench present in your base. The Basic Carpenting Workbench can be crafted using
4x Wooden Beam
20x Wooden Pegs
6x Planks
All of these ingredients can be made at a Wood Chopping Block using Sapwood, the tier 1 wood in this game.
Basic Blacksmith Workbench
Once you’ve made the Basic Carpenting Workbench, you can use it to craft the Basic Blacksmithing Tools. The ingredients for crafting the Basic Blacksmithing Bench are:
2x Iron Sheets
4x Iron Nails
2x Iron Bar
All 3 of these ingredients can be crafted using iron at the Stone Anvil.
Basic Weapon Smith Workbench
Once you have the Basic Blacksmithing Tools in your inventory, they can be used to craft a Basic Blacksmith Workbench. You can craft the Basic Blacksmith Workbench using the same recipe as the Carpentry one plus the Basic Blacksmithing Tools.
Next, use the Basic Blacksmith Workbench to make Basic Weapon Smithing Tools. You can craft the tools using:
4x Iron Bar
5x Iron Nails
2x Short Wood Stock
Like the other 2 tools, you can craft the Basic Weapon Smithing Tools using ingredients that can be made using a Stone Anvil or a Wood Chopping Block.
Lastly, use the Basic Weapon Smithing Tools to make a Basic Weaponsmith Workbench. After you place the workbench at your base, use it to craft the Iron Chopping Axe. For the pickaxe, you will need
1x Long Wood Stock
1x Iron Axe Head
Additionally, you will also need to have level 10 Weapon Smithing. Crafting various items will help you level up Weapon Smithing. The best way to do this is by crafting low-level items that don’t use up a lot of resources.
With the Iron Pickaxe now in your inventory, you can start chopping down medium-sized trees to get Heartwood.
If you never got the chance to experience Elden Ring, now would be the perfect time to do so. It recently got a DLC called Shadow of the Erdtree which added even more bosses, weapons and locations on top of the ones that were already present in the base game.
Putrescent Knight is one of the newly added DLC bosses. Oftentimes, Elden Ring bosses are located in tricky locations. This guide will help you out with that and show you the location and the path to reach there.
Location of Putrescent Knight
You can get to Putrescent Knight through the Stone Coffin Fissure. And to enter the Stone Coffin Fissure, you will need to break its Rune first.
You can do that by going to the gate of Stone Keep castle. The rune will automatically break once you reach the gate. The location of the gate is given below.
After you break the rune, make your way to the Stone Coffin Fissure which is located at the bottom left side of the map. The Stone Coffin Fissure will take you underground and from there, follow the path given below:

Once you get there, you will find the map fragment located outside the church as shown in the image below. Go ahead and grab it to unlock the Abyss part of the map.
Make your way to Midra’s Manse
After you get the Abyss map fragment, go back to the Woodland Trail site of grace and then make your way to Abyssal Woods. And finally, from Abyssal Woods to Manse Hall. The path is marked in the image below:
Inside Midra’s Manse
Once you reach Midra’s Manse, open up the gates and you will find the Manse Hall site of grace there. After touching the grace to activate the site of grace, make your way inside the room on your left as marked in the image below.
After going into the above marked room, keep heading straight and take a right once you reach the end. You will enter the room shown below, Here make your way into the room on your left (marked below).
You will enter a destroyed library. Go towards the right side in the library as marked in the image below.
Once you do, you will encounter two rooms, one on left and the other on right. First, go into the room on your right (as shown in the image below) and activate the lever that you will find inside the room.
After activating the lever, go back and this time go inside the room on your left. It is marked in the image below. You will find a ladder inside this room, go ahead and climb it.
After climbing the ladder, keep going straight until you reach the area shown below. Here, you will find another ladder (marked below). Go up this ladder.
Once you climb the 2nd ladder, keep going straight and navigate through the wooden platforms. Be careful not to fall down. Eventually, you will reach the area which you can see below. There is a ladder here that will take you down. Use that to descend. It is marked below.
After climbing down, go into the room that is marked in the image below.
Hidden Painting
Inside the above marked room, you will find a huge painting on the wall. There is a hidden room behind this painting. Hit the painting with your weapon to reveal the hidden passage. The painting is marked in the image below.
Once the hidden passage is revealed, go up the stairs and then climb up the ladder. You will find a lever there. Activate the lever and then go back to the room where you climbed down from the ladder. This time head in the direction shown below.
You will find a door on the other side of this large room. It is marked in the image below. Make your way inside this door.
After going inside the above mentioned door, you will come across stairs, go up those stairs. Once you do that, keep going straight and you will find more stairs. Climb those as well.
Keep moving forward and you will reach a room with a site of grace. This site of grace is called Second Floor Chamber.
Boss Room
In front of this site of grace, you will find a door. Go through this door and then make your way into the room on the right. If you are confused then refer to the image below.
Inside that room, you will find Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame. And as Elden Ring bosses go, Midra also has two phases.
But this is not the only Shadow of the Erdtree boss, Putrescent Knight is also pretty challenging and worth fighting. We have a guide available on its location as well.
Although still in its testing phases, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is set to be an exciting game. There are many good-looking elements to this PvPvE Open World RPG, but first, we have questions to answer. Namely, when is the release date and what should we expect from Legacy: Steel & Sorcery?
Release Date
First, it’s important to note that Notorious Studios has not set an official release date yet. However, they do plan for an Early Access release sometime before the end of 2024. You can still get involved in the development, though!
Pre-Alpha playtests are ongoing, and you can sign up via the official website. It’s a great idea if you want a first look at the game and to let your voice be heard in the making of Legacy: Steel & Sorcery!
What to Expect
As expected, the main goal of Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is combat. You’ll go on adventures in the open world map either by yourself or with up to two friends. The game, of course, is mostly about fighting, but there are plenty of interesting elements outside of that.
For one thing, there is a class system just like in a Fantasy RPG. There are already a few confirmed classes, such as Warriors and Priests, but more will likely be added over time.
When not embarking on quests, you can take refuge behind the city walls. Here, you’ll stock up on gear for your next adventure, cook meals to take with you, and have a rest in your furnishable lodgings. You can also improve your reputation with vendors to get the best equipment possible.
Although the game is still in development, we’re expecting good things from Legacy: Steel & Sorcery. Keep an eye out for more information, and in the meantime, why not check out our Wuthering Waves Guides?
Your Data Bank in Wuthering Waves is easily one of the most important tools at your disposal. It helps you keep track of all the different Echos that you have encountered or caught, and provides you with valuable information regarding them.
Alongside all that, the Data Bank also increases your chances of catching higher rarity Echos. It is the most reliable way to get yourself 5-star Echos, the highest rarity Echos in the game. Before you can get those Echos, you must first level up your Data Bank.
So how do you level up the Data Bank in Wuthering Waves?
How To Level Up Data Bank Fast
You can level up your Data Bank in Wuthering Waves by fighting and capturing Echos. Each time you defeat an Echo, you will gain a certain amount of XP, and that XP will contribute to your Data Bank level.
Of course, all Echos will not give you the same XP. Capturing higher rarity Echos will get you more XP and increase your Data Bank level much faster. You can also make this process faster by focusing on catching one unique Echo and taking on Echo boss fights.
All the Echos that you encounter in this game can be found in the Data Bank. To maximize your XP gain, you will want to choose one specific Echo and start tracking them using the Data Bank. This will pinpoint the exact location of this Echo, allowing you to get to them and capture them.
This is a great way to get a lot of XP because capturing more than one of the same Echo will give you a chance of obtaining a higher rarity version. A higher rarity version will give you more XP, and in this case, it will also give you the XP of the lower rarity version.
There is no guarantee that fighting Echos in the wild will give you an Echo drop. Echo drops are not guaranteed, so you will need to take down quite a few to maximize your XP gain this way.
Echo Boss Fights
The other way to maximize XP gain for your Data Bank is by taking on Echo boss fights. Echo bosses are usually going to give you more XP when you defeat them, but they are also much more difficult to take down.
Alongside that, there are also a limited amount of these bosses in the game, limiting the amount of fights that you can have. Echo bosses are also insanely good if you capture them.
The Inferno Rider for example is one of, if not the best Fusion Echo in the game. It is very good in combat and goes well with any Fusion Resonator in the game. Other than what the Inferno Rider provides in combat, you can also use the Inferno Rider to travel around the map.
Out of all the different resources that you can get in Wuthering Waves, none are more valuable than Astrite. Astrite is the premium currency in the game and it allows you to buy a lot of valuable in-game items like Tides. Being so valuable also makes Astrite very scarce and difficult to obtain.
Being a gacha game, the Astrite system is designed to make players want to purchase it using real money. Luckily though, there are also ways that let you get a ton of Astrite for free. In this guide, we will be looking at all the different ways to get free pulls of Astrite in Wuthering Waves.
How to Get Astrite for Free
Other than buying it with real money, you can get Astrite by simply playing the game and completing specific objectives along the way. There are also reward tracks and passes that allow players to get Astrite on a daily basis. We will be looking at all of these in more detail below.
Daily login rewards are the easiest way to get a lot of guaranteed Astrite. Everyone will have access to these rewards and all you have to do to get them is simply login into the game. They don’t even require you to play as simply logging in will let you claim your rewards.
When starting out, there will be a lot of permanent daily login events. These have no expiry date and will always be there no matter when you start playing. There will also be current events which have an expiry date, so make sure you complete them before time runs out. A lot of events will require you to complete specific tasks, but most of these tasks will be fairly easy to complete.
The daily login events will also provide you with a lot of other valuable items and resources alongside Astrite. For example, events will let you unlock Energy Cores. Energy cores are an essential item for upgrading weapons and making them stronger. You can learn more about weapon upgrades by checking out our article on weapon leveling in Wuthering Waves.
Daily Tasks
Once you reach Union level 10, you will gain access to the handbook. Unlocking the handbook will allow you to complete daily tasks and earn a number of different rewards. Astrite is one of the rewards that you can get from these tasks.
Most of the daily tasks are fairly easy to do, and by just doing a few of them daily, you can end up getting yourself a ton of free Astrite.
Character Trials
Character trials in Wuthering Waves allow you to train with your characters in game and learn more about them. The game rewards you for completing the skill training with your resonators, and one of the rewards is 10 Astrite. While this isn’t a huge amount, it is extremely easy to get, and skill training will also generally help you master your characters.
Mail
Make sure you check your mail, as you can get a good amount of Astrite for free this way. In case of an unplanned maintenance or some other similar issue affecting the game, the game’s devs might compensate you with some sort of reward, like Astrite.
To get this though, you will need to claim it through the game’s mail system. All you have to do is open up the message and claim the reward from there. These mails do have an expiry system so make sure you check the mail tab whenever you can.
Delivering Sonance Caskets
Sonance Caskets in Wuthering Waves are a great way to get Asterite and a ton of other rewards. You will find Sonance Caskets scattered across the game’s map, and delivering these caskets to an antique collector will reward you with Asterite and other items.
Cooking
Cooking is a pretty important feature in Wuthering Waves, and one of its many benefits is the Asterite it gets you. You can’t really cook Asterite in this game, but you can level up your cooking proficiency and earn rewards that way.
Fighting Bosses (Echos)
Other than earning rewards through the Data Bank, fighting and defeating Echos will also earn you some Astrite. You can find various Echo boss fights scattered all across the map of Wuthering Waves.
Data Bank
The Data Bank in Wuthering Waves allows you to keep track of all the Echos that you have caught. You can level up your Data Bank by catching more and more Echos. As you level up your Data Bank, you will hit milestones and these milestones allow you to claim a set of rewards.
Echos are a big part of Wuthering Waves’s overall gameplay and catching them will let you equip them to your character. You can learn more about how Echos work in Wuthering Waves by checking out our guide on it.
Pioneer Association
You can also earn Astrite by simply exploring the map in Wuthering Waves. Make sure you report back to the Pioneer Association every once in a while and claim your rewards. The more you explore, the more Astrite you get.
Challenges
Throughout your journey in Wuthering Waves, you will come across a lot of different chests in the form of challenges. You can complete these short challenges and earn yourself a quick and easy reward. While these challenges don’t give you a lot of Astrite, they are very easy to complete and you will find a lot of them in the game.
Tower of Adversity
The Tower of Adversity is great for players looking for an extra challenge or some epic encounters, but alongside that, it is also a great way to earn some amazing rewards. There are 4 different levels in the Tower of Adversity and you get rewarded for your progress with Hazard Records.
The Hazard Record is a currency that is exclusive to the Tower of Adversity and it can be traded for a number of different items in the Tower of Adversity store. When it comes to making Asterite, the Tower of Adversity is one of the best ways to do so, but it can be fairly hard to go through, especially for newer players.
Blobflies
Blobfly’s in Wuthering Waves are small flying creatures that you can catch and collect. Catching them will get you 10 Astrite, and there are a total of 43 Blobfly’s in Wuthering Wavees. You can check out our guide on all 43 Blobfly locations in Wuthering Waves to catch all of them.
Like a lot of action RPGs out there, Wuthering Waves is fully built around its fast-paced and engaging gameplay. The game plays very smoothly and allows for a lot of skill expression and creativity. One of the aspects that fully showcases this is the teambuilding in Wuthering Waves.
Teambuilding is an integral part of Wuthering Waves’ combat and overall gameplay. It can be a bit difficult to get used to and understand though, especially for players new to Wuthering Waves or the genre itself. Our ultimate teambuilding guide will look at all the essentials that you will need to know concerning teambuilding. By mastering teambuilding you can maximize your damage and take on any foe.
Ultimate Teambuilding Guide
Looking at the basics, Wuthering Waves requires you to have a team of 3 different characters that you will take into the game. You can switch between all 3 of them during combat and all characters in this game provide something unique. So, how do you make an ideal team in Wuthering Waves?
When making a team in Wuthering Waves, the 2 main things you need to look at are synergies between characters and the overall team composition. Both of these will help maximize your teams damage and fully utilize the characters.
Alongside teambuilding, understanding other aspects of the game like the weapons system is also important. Make sure you check out our weapon investment and weapon leveling guide.
Synergies
The synergy between characters is very important to consider for teambuilding in Wuthering Waves. It will help you get the best out of your characters and make them feel much stronger. Synergy is especially important when you are just starting out and have a limited amount of characters. It can help you decide which characters to unlock to complete your team.
Say for example that your favorite character in the game is Jiyan. Being a primary DPS, Jiyan relies a lot on his ultimate being up to maximize his damage potential. So a character that can help Jiyan build up energy will synergize pretty well with him. You can get pretty creative with this and try out some fun and interesting team compositions.
Team Composition
Alongside having synergies between your teammates, you will also need to make sure you have a proper team composition. A good team composition in Wuthering Waves will rely a lot on having good damage but also good support tools to go along with that damage.
A standard team comp in Wuthering Waves will consist of a main DPS, secondary DPS, and support.
Main DPS
Your main DPS character will be responsible for most of your team’s damage. Their sole purpose is to deal a ton of damage and decimate enemies. Characters like Jiyan and Rover are perfect for this as their kits allow them to dish out a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
Secondary DPS
Having a secondary DPS character is also very important, as they can provide your team with valuable damage but alongside that also provide some utility. Someone like Mortefi or Sanhua can fit this role well as they have decent damage and good utility. Mortefi for example can buff your main DPS and help them deal much more damage.
Support
To round out your team you will need a support character. Supports are often overlooked by people when building a team, but their importance can not be understated. While they do not have a lot of damage, they can provide your team with valuable utility like heals and damage buffs. Verina is the best support in the game right now, and this is mainly due to the damage buff she provides. It is a significant buff that lasts for a good amount of time.
Example Team
Above we have an example team in Wuthering Waves. Calcharo is our main DPS, Jianxin our secondary DPS, and Baizhi our support.
This is a pretty standard team as each character fills a specific role and provides something valuable to our team. You will generally want to open fights with Baizhi here, then go to Jianxin and end with Calcharo. This will allow you to utilize your buffing abilities and set up Calcharo to deal loads of damage.
One of the best things is how creative Wuthering Waves allows players to be. You can opt to follow a standard team composition or go for something unique that isn’t meta. Try out different team compositions to find out what works best for you.
Wuthering Waves is an open-world Gacha game that came out in May 2024. It’s a free-to-play RPG that has often been compared to the likes of Genshin Impact. This action-packed game offers its own unique take on the battle pass system called The Pioneer Podcast.
It works similarly to other battle pass systems where the more you play, the more progress you will make towards it, leading you to earn more rewards. This reward system helps keep the players engaged and excited towards the game on a consistent medium to long-term basis.
The Pioneer Podcast
The Pioneer Podcast usually lasts for the duration of a Version patch or about 40 days. It features free and premium rewards at each level ending at level 70. These rewards include weapon and resonator upgrade materials, shell credits, as well as cooking and crafting items.
The free rewards are unlockable for everyone who plays, while the premium rewards can only be accessed by purchasing the Insider Channel. There is also a Connoisseur Channel, which offers all the rewards available within the Insider Channel, as well as some additional rewards on top of it.
If you happen to be new to Wuthering Waves, make sure you check out our guide on what to prioritise in the early game. We look at all the essentials that you need to know going into the game.
Is the Battlepass Worth It?
The quick and simple answer is yes, but only if you are willing to invest the time into it. While you do get end up getting some amazing rewards, the battle pass does require you to play a lot.
This means regularly doing your daily missions, completing the weekly boss fights, and participating in seasonal events, to progress as quickly as possible towards the completion of the podcast. Otherwise, it is not advisable to purchase the Insider or Connoisseur channel.
But I will say though, if you’ve started playing Wuthering a bit late, it might not be the best idea to invest in the battle pass, considering you won’t be able to level it up in time to get all those rewards.
If you did start playing early, you can get the battle pass late, because what level you’re on the Public Channel, you’ll unlock the rewards for the Insider Channel up to that level.
Insider Channel vs. Connoisseur Channel
The Insider Channel, which is priced at $10, is likely the most worth-it option. It gives you access to Astrite, Wuthering Waves’ most premium in-game currency. However, the best reward in the Insider channel is a choice of 1 out of 5 exclusive 4-star weapons on podcast level 30. These are among the best 4-star weapons in the entire game, so they can definitely give you an edge in combat. The choices you didn’t select can be unlocked in subsequent premium battle passes.
If you want access to all the premium rewards, but would also like to skip some of the grind, then the Connoisseur Channel may be the right option for you. You will get the benefit of 10 instantly unlocked Pioneer Podcast levels, leaving you with only 60 levels to progress through. You will also be able to unlock exclusive rewards such as Jinzhou Record Sigil and Gilded Ginkgo. It is very pricey though, as $20 for a 40-day battlepass is a steep price.
The Best Option
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide which option is most suitable for you, given the time and financial resources available to you. For most people, the Insider Channel is the better of the two premium options. It gives you access to the same rewards at half the price, given you put in the time. If you are someone who doesn’t have a lot of time, then the Connoisseur pass is surely the best option.

With all the Blobflies collected, you should now have 430 Astrites ready to make some pulls for your next 5-star character or weapon. There’s so much more to explore and Astrites to collect. Sometimes it involves battling bosses and taking on high-level echoes, so check out our Wuthering Waves: Ultimate Combat Guide.
One of the major elements of Wuthering Waves is the Echo System. Whether you want to get the best stats or you’ve just gotta catch ’em all, collecting Echoes is a big part of the game. Naturally, the rarer the better, so getting your hands on 5-Star Echoes is important.
If you want to get a 5-Star Echo early in Wuthering Waves, we’ll explain exactly how!
How to Get 5-Star Echoes Early
There are two main methods to getting 5-Star Echoes in the game. The first is the traditional way, and the second is a bit of a shortcut to getting just one of these rare Echoes. Don’t worry, though, as we’ll go through both ways!
Unlocking 5-Star Echoes
Getting to the point where 5-Star Echoes drop from defeated enemies might be a bit of a slog, but it’s fairly straightforward. Your first step is to focus on levelling up the Data Bank.
Once you get your Data Bank to level 15, you’ll notice a new percentage under ‘Highest Drop Rarity’. This is for 5-Star Echoes, meaning there’s now a chance they can drop from enemies! From this point on, every additional level makes 5-Stars even more likely to appear, with the likelihood capping at 80% once you reach level 20.
Of course, getting to level 15 is quite a bit of work. Not only do you have to collect a lot of rare Echoes to raise your Data Bank EXP, but you’ll need to raise your SOL3 Phase too. This removes the caps on levelling up your Data Bank – otherwise, you won’t be able to level up!
Guaranteed 5-Star Drops
Although uncommon (and quite difficult), there is a way to get a 5-Star Echo without even needing a level 15 Data Bank. Occasionally in Wuthering Waves, you’ll encounter red enemies which are guaranteed to drop 5-Star Echoes when defeated. While fighting them won’t be easy, it does mean you can grab a 5-Star fairly early in the game.
If you’re in the mood for a challenge, here’s a quick guide to getting your hands on a 5-Star Spearback Echo.
Spearback Guide
The Depths of Illusive Realm, which you can find in the Waving Battlefield to the south of Port Gunchao, is your destination here. While you might have to wander around a bit, eventually, you will find a level 120 Spearback King. Don’t panic! It’s not as tough a fight as it first appears.
Your best bet to winning here is to focus on dodge-counters, as they’ll deal a flat damage rate. Luckily, the Spearback‘s attacks are fairly straightforward, and there are only three of them:
5-Swipe Attack
Double Swipe Attack
Charge
The first one is 5 single-paw swipes in a row. Counting them is key here because you’ll have to dodge and counter between each one. The double swipe is only the one attack, but you’ll know it’s this because the Spearback will use both its paws. Again, you just need to dodge and counter.
The charge attack is much more difficult to dodge, as it can be tricky to time when the actual attack will hit. There are two strikes to this one, making it doubly hard to dodge-counter. Unless your timing skills are on-point, your best plan is to simply run and avoid the attack entirely.
Once the Spearback King is defeated, he’ll drop his 5-Star Echo. It might not be one of the best Echoes in the game (although who doesn’t want to summon a giant bear in combat?), but it is one of the easier 5-Stars to pick up early.
Are you still in the early game of Wuthering Waves and want to know what to focus on? Check out our tips on What to Prioritise in Early Game!
Everybody plays games differently, and Wuthering Waves is no exception. While some might just wing it, others prefer to know exactly what they’re getting into, and plan accordingly. Knowing what to prioritise in the early game is crucial if you don’t want to make any rookie mistakes.
So, if you’re just starting out and don’t know what to do, here’s What to Prioritise in Wuthering Waves’ Early Game!
What to Prioritise in Early Game
The early game in Wuthering Waves, as in most games, is full of tutorials and ways to get you to grips with the gameplay. Although you can let the game guide you some of the way, open-world games require a bit of exploration from players.
Here, we’ll be listing some of the top tips to getting ahead at the beginning.
Quests
In these types of games, your Main Quest is going to help you out the most. It not only follows a major plot, but it acts as a tutorial. In addition, completing quests will get you rewards, and who doesn’t love a reward?
As well as the main storyline, picking up side quests wherever you find them is a fantastic idea too. They’re a great way to earn EXP and resources, and can even introduce you to smaller parts of the game that the Main Quest side-steps.
Data Bank
We’ve mentioned it before on our Echo System and Echo Farming guides, but levelling up your Data Bank early is crucial. Echoes are a big part of Wuthering Waves, and provide lots of stat boosts and enhancements for your team.
By levelling up the Data Bank, you increase the drop rate of Echoes, meaning you can pick more up even faster. The more Echoes you collect, the easier combat will be for you.
Characters
In the early game, resources are scarce. So, when it comes to levelling up characters, it’s important to focus on one. Choose a character that you click with, and prioritise building them up. Don’t spread yourself too thin!
Using Waveplates is also a fantastic idea. In the beginning, try to use them more on weapon materials. By doing this, you can unlock better weapons early-on.
Explore
If you’ve ever played an open-world game before, you’ll know that exploring is a big part of the fun. Luckily, Wuthering Waves is no different.
First, it’s a good idea in the early game to take time for unlocking Resonance Beacons. If you’ve played Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, then you’ll be familiar with hunting for Towers. The Resonance Beacons are exactly the same: unlocking them is like a miniature quest, and once unlocked, you can use them for teleportation.
In doing this, you can also work to reveal the map. Prioritising this right at the beginning will make things much easier further down the line. It always helps to know where you’re going, after all!
Another element of exploration is gathering. All over the world, you’ll find items available to pick up. It’s a good idea to get into the habit of picking up everything you find. These resources can be useful for both crafting and cooking, so having plenty of ingredients is crucial.

When selecting a weapon that you want to invest in and upgrade, the 2 most important things to consider are the weapon’s rarity and the resources needed to upgrade the weapon. We will look at both of those in more detail below.
Weapon Rarity
No matter which weapon you choose to upgrade, the type of resources that you will need will be the same. What will not be the same is the total number of each resource needed. All weapons in Wuthering Waves will have a rarity attached to them. Weapons that are higher in rarity will require more resources than less rare weapons.
In total, there are 5 different rarities in Wuthering Waves. The least rare weapons in this game will be 1-star rarity, and the most rare will be 5-star. In terms of how it works, this system is the same as the traditional item rarity system that uses colors to display rarity.
As they are the strongest, 5-star weapons will generally be the most sought-after. Fortunately, anyone can get a guaranteed 5-star weapon in Wuthering Waves through the weapon selector feature. Check out our guide on the 5-star weapon selector for more info on that.
Resources Required
There are 3 primary resources that you will need to have in order to upgrade your weapons in Wuthering Waves. These are:
Experience points
Energy Cores
Waveplates
So how do each of these work?
Experience Points
Experience points or XP is the base resource required to increase your weapons level. The rarity of your weapon will ultimately decide how much XP you need. Other than that, as the level of your weapon increases, additional levels will require even more XP.
The amount of XP you can use for your weapon fully depends on the time you invest in the game. Playing more will let you generate more XP and level up your weapons much faster.
Energy Cores
You will need Energy Cores in Wuthering Waves, as they will let your weapon undergo Ascension. The game has certain caps in place that stop people from grinding too much and fully leveling up their weapons. Energy Cores will let you go through these caps, so you can keep leveling up your weapon.
There are 2 different ways to get Energy Cores in Wuthering Waves. The first is through quests that you can complete. You can get Energy Cores from both main and side quests. The second way to get Energy Cores is through the Weapon Crafting Store located in Jinzhou.
Waveplates
Lastly, to level up your weapons, you will also need to use plenty of Waveplates. Waveplates are Wuthering Waves’ stamina system. While Waveplates are like a currency, they will automatically generate over time. Check out our “how fast do waveplates replenish in Wuthering Waves” for more information on this topic.
Various in-game actions like performing boss fights will require Waveplates to do. Higher rarity weapons will require you to do more Waveplate related actions, so they will automatically take longer. In relation to that, it’s important to learn efficient Echo farming to get the most out of your Waveplates.
Choosing the Best Weapon to Upgrade
The choice of which weapon to upgrade will ultimately come down to what you need from your weapon. 5-star weapons are obviously going to be the strongest, but they will require a ton of resources to upgrade. Alternatively, 1-star weapons are extremely cheap to upgrade, but they have a limit to how strong they can be.
When you’re just starting out, the best option that you can go for is upgrading 2-star and 3-star weapons. These weapons will not require a lot of resources to upgrade, and can provide you with more than enough damage early on in the game.
For 5-star weapons, the safest choice to go for is the Emerald of Genesis. You wont have access to a lot of 5-star weapons in Wuthering Waves, as they are pretty hard to get. The Emerald of Genesis is perfect, as it is the best possible weapon for a lot of different characters in this game.
Overall though, one single weapon will never be the best for everyone. So the choice will eventually come down to which character you enjoy the most and which weapon suits them the most.
Waveplates in Wuthering Waves work pretty much the same as the stamina system that can be found in other similar games. In games like Wuthering Waves, stamina is often a very useful resource as there are specific actions that can only be done using stamina.
Unlike a lot of other resources in Wuthering Waves, Waveplates will automatically replenish over time. This means that to get Waveplates, all you have to do is sit back and wait for the Waveplates to fill themselves up.
So, at what rate do Waveplates replenish in Wuthering Waves?
How Fast Do Waveplates Replenish
It takes 24 hours to get 240 Waveplates, and 240 is the maximum amount you can hold at a time. In terms of hours, you will replenish 10 Waveplates every hour.
240 Waveplates are a pretty good amount for one day, as you can complete a lot of actions wth it. For example, you can perform a total of 4 Echo boss fights using 240 Waveplates. Each fight will take 60 Waveplates to initiate. You can learn more about fighting Echos by checking out our guide on Echo farming in Wuthering Waves.
As Echos automatically replenish over time, spend as much as possible. There is no point saving Waveplates in Wuthering Waves. Do make sure though that you are spending the Waveplates smartly. Early on for example, using Waveplates for boss fights will be much more effective than Simulation training. Optimizing your spending will allow you to get the most out of your Waveplates every day.
Other Ways to Replenish Waveplates
If you happen to run out of Waveplates, you don’t have to necessarily wait for them as there are 2 other ways to get Waveplates in Wuthering Waves.
The first way is through Crystal Solvents. Consuming a Crystal Solven will replenish 60 Waveplates, which is 6 hours worth of Waveplates. These items are 4-star rarity, so they can be quite rare to come by.
The other way you can get Waveplates is through Asterite. Asterite is one of the most valuable resources you can get in Wuthering Waves and it has several different uses. While it can be used to get Waveplates, its better to use your Asterite for other things, especially if you are a F2P.
Both the Crystal Solvent and Asterite will instantly get you Waveplates. If you are starting out in the game, it’s best to just wait for the Waveplaters to replenish automatically. Both these resources are pretty useful and you should only use them when you absolutely have to.
One of the most important choices to make when assembling your team in Wuthering Waves is who your DPS character will be. There are tons of different options to choose from, with a number of them being extremely strong. DPS is usually the core of most people’s teams, so it’s often the first thing most people consider.
While she may not be the most popular pick, Rover is a very strong DPS character when used correctly. She has extremely high damage potential and is very easy to get used to. One of the best things about Rover is the fact that she is unlocked by default. So you can start using her as soon as you start the game.
Before you can take her into combat though, knowing how to build her is very important. An optimized build will not only make her easier to play, but it will also make her feel much stronger in game.
Our guide will be focusing on the Spectro version of Rover. She also has a Havoc variant that is pretty strong and fun in its own way, but the build for that is completely different.
The main things to consider when building Rover will be what Echos to pick and the weapons to bring along. Other than that, it is also important to put together the right team to go along with Rover. All these factors combined are what will determine your character’s strength.
So without further ado, let’s get right into it and look at her build in more detail.
Echos
Rover is a pure damage dealer, so the main Echo you equip with her needs to reflect that. The best option for the main Echo will be the Mourning Aix. This Echo will boost Rover’s overall Spectro DMG and provide her with a big boost for her ultimate.
Even if you don’t use Rover as your primary DPS, the Mourning Aix is still going to be the best option. Rover’s full kit is based around maximizing damage and no other Echo will fit her better than Mourning Aix.
For your stats, your priority should be:
CRIT Rate
CRIT DMG
Spectro DMG
ATK%
Energy Regen
Alongside these stats, you can also go for stats like the Resonance Libteration DMG bonus or Resonance Skill DMG bonus. both of these benefit Rover a lot and go well with her kit.
For the Sonata effect, a 5-piece Celestial Light is the best option that you can go for. It will give you higher damage than any other Sonata effect in the game. You can choose to go with a 2-piece Celestial Light and combine it with something else, but this will mean losing some damage.
The Emerald of Genesis is almost always going to be the best weapon option in the game for Rover. You will get a good amount of increase in damage and alongside that, the weapon also gives a massive boost in energy regen.
Energy regen is generally a valuable stat, and Rover can benefit a lot from it. Other than the Emerald of Genesis, you can also go for a weapon like Commando of Conviction or LunarCutter. Both are pretty good substitutes if you do not have the Emerald of Genesis.
Ideal Team
Rover will almost always be your main DPS or in some rare cases the secondary DPS. Even when played as a secondary DPS, Rover will mainly be used for the damage she provides.
If you are playing her as a main DPS, then you will need a support and secondary DPS to go along with Rover. For your support, Verina is always a good option as she is one of the best utility characters in the game. She is a great healer, and on top of that, she also gives massive boosts in damage to her teammates. For the secondary DPS character, multiple options are more than good enough to go with Rover. Someone like Sanhua can provide valuable damage and the utility you need from a secondary DPS character.
Of course, you can also play Rover as a secondary DPS character in your team. So if you want Rover in your team and want another high DPS there too, you can replace your secondary DPS slot with a character like Jiyan. Jiyan will give your team much higher damage, as he is one of the best DPS characters in the game right now. You can check out our guide on the best build for Jiyan to bring the most out of him.
Overall Playstyle
When playing Rover, the main things to keep in mind are her Forte Circuit Gauge and her Resonance Skills. You can charge up Rover’s Forte Circuit Gauge while she is on the field. Combos will generally charge up the Gauge much faster, with heavy attacks helping even more.
Once the Forte Circuit Gauge is filled halfway, you can perform her Resonance Skills and deal a ton of damage. You will ideally want to cast her Resonance Skills as soon as they are ready. They do not have specific synergies and are essential in maximizing Rover’s DPS.
Rover is overall very beginner friendly, as she is pretty easy to pick up. Despite being beginner friendly, she is still an extremely good DPS character in this game. On top of being good, she is also extremely fun to play. Optimize your build and put together an ideal team to maximize her damage.
When building a team in Wuthering Waves, one of the most important things to consider is who your DPS character will be. Your DPS character will always be the main carry of your team and is probably the hardest selection right now. There are a ton of different DPS characters in the game right now, with most of them being very good in their own way.
A lot of people in Wuthering Waves want their DPS character to just dish out insane amounts of damage in seconds. Well if that is you, then look no further than Encore. In terms of pure DPS, there aren’t many characters better than Encore in the game.
To fully utilize Encore’s damage though, you must first know how to build her. An optimized build can elevate her damage by an instance amount. Optimizing builds in Wuthering Waves is often the hardest part for a lot of players. Fortunately, our guide will help you with exactly that by giving you the best way to build Encore.
When building a character in Wuthering Waves, the most important aspects to look at are going to be your Echos and Weapons. Other than these 2 decisions, optimizing your team is also extremely important.
The right build and team selection are essential in maximizing Encore’s damage. There are tons of different options to choose from in Wuthering Waves, which can make the decision a bit difficult. We will be looking at all of these aspects in more detail below.
Echos
For her main Echo, the best option in almost any scenario is the Inferno Rider. Encore is heavily reliant on maximizing her Fusion damage and basic attack damage in her ultimate form. Inferno Rider helps her do that, as he buffs your character’s damage.
The one major downside of Inferno Rider is his extremely long animations. Encore has small windows in which she can deal a ton of damage, and Inferno Riders animations might sometimes be a bit annoying. Still, he is still the best option as the damage boost is very nice to have.
When choosing the Echo Substats, your priority should be:
CRIT rate and CRIT DMG
ATK%
Energy Regen%
Encore relies a lot on basic attack damage and heavy attack damage. Other than that her main window in which you will deal damage is her ultimate form. All this makes having the above stats very important.
Lastly for the Sonata effect, the best way to go is a 5-set Molten Rift effect. Together with your main Echo, the Molten Rift will give you a big boost for your ultimate and fusion damage.
Weapons
The Stringmaster is the way to go when it comes to weapons. Out of all the possible weapons on Encore, the Stringmaster has the highest damage potential. For a DPS character, that is often the most important thing to consider.
Other than Stringmaster, the Cosmic Ripples weapon is also pretty strong. It has slightly less damage than the Stringmaster, but makes up for it by giving you higher energy regen. Encore being so reliant on energy makes having energy regen extremely valuable. Both these weapons are pretty interchangeable, so you can use either of them.
Ideal Team
Finding the right team for Encore can be pretty tricky, mainly because Encore doesn’t have some insane synergy with any character. Some character like Jiyan have a clear composition that is their best. Encore isn’t like that, so when deciding on a comp, a lot of it comes down to your preference.
If we take a standard 3-character team, we will need to have a DPS character, one Sub-DPS, and one support/healer. Encore is our DPS, so we will need to pick a Sub-DPS and healer to round out our team.
For the healer/support spot, Verina is easily one of the best characters you can go for. She is one of the strongest supports in the game right now and fits well into a lot of different team compositions. Not only will she provide you valuable healing, she can also buff the damage of your other characters.
Lastly for our Sub-DPS, we will need someone who can help deal damage alongside Encore. Sanhua is a very good pick for this as alongside having decent damage of her own, Sanhua can also increase the basic attack damage of Encore. Other than Sanhua, Yangyang is also a perfectly fine option. You will lose some damage with Yangyang, but at the same time, you will get better energy regen for Encore. Check out our ultimate Yangyang guide if you do choose that team comp!
Overall Playstyle
In terms of how her abilities work, Encore is a pretty easy to understand character. She is generally not that strong in her normal form, but as soon as she casts her ultimate ability, Encore starts melting enemies. That being said, the main challenge of playing her is utilizing her ultimate.
Encore’s ultimate, allows her to enter into the Cosmos Rave state. She can be in this state for up to 10 seconds, and during this, she will become a melee character and deal insane amounts of damage. The best way to use this ultimate is to always cast it whenever you have the energy. Use the other character when the ultimate is on cooldown and try to build up energy again.
Once you get the hang of her ultimate ability, Encore will start feeling extremely strong. In terms of pure DPS potential, Encore is probably the best in the game. Optimize your build and select the best possible team to turn Encore into the DPS monster she is meant to be.
When choosing an ideal team in Wuthering Waves, your secondary DPS character plays a pivotal part in making your team feel complete. Your secondary DPS or Sub-DPS characters help boost the overall damage of your team and provide valuable utility that other characters might not bring.
Yangyang is one of the first Sub-DPS characters that most players will unlock quite early in the game. Despite being unlocked early, Yangyang is still a very good character in the right hands. She can provide a lot of extra damage to your team and help build up a lot of energy that your DPS characters will need.
Before you take Yangyang into the game, it’s very important to know what to build with her. Luckily for you, we have put together an ultimate guide to help bring out the best of what she has to offer.
When it comes to builds, the main things to consider in Wuthering Waves are Echos and weapons. Both of these help dictate your playstyle and have the biggest impact on your damage. Other that, it is also important to find the best possible team for your character.
We will look at Echos, weapons, and teams in more detail below. This should help you optimize each of these aspects and understand the reasoning behind everything.
Echos
As a secondary DPS build, the best way to build Yangyang is by maxing out her damage. What makes Yangyang so good as a secondary DPS is her overall kit. By maxing her damage you will get a lot of extra damage for your team and on top of that add her utility into the mix.
For your main Echo, the best pick will have to be Feilian Beringal. Yangyang gets a huge boost from Feilian Beringal’s damage boost, which helps in maxing her damage.
If you want to go for a more support-like build, then you can also go for the Bell-Borne Geochelone. You will lose a lot of damage this way, and the Bell-Borne Geochelone Echo will help you boost the damage of your teammates instead.
For the stats, your priority will be:
CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
Aero DMG
ATK%
Energy Regen
All of these stats fit well with what Yangyang does in the game. Boosting damage is usually the way to go with Yangyang. Again, for a more support-like build, you can give more priority to stats such as Energy Regen, but even for support having damage stats isn’t a bad thing.
Finally, for her Sonata skill you can go both 5-set or a double 2-set. For your 5-set, you will almost always want to go Sierra Gale. This will give you a good amount of damage to work with. For a double 2-set, you can again go Sierra Gale and combine it with something like Moonlit Clouds. In most cases, a 5-set Sierra Gale is the best option as the damage difference between that and the next best option is massive.
Weapons
The ideal weapon for Yangyang is almost always going to be the Emerald of Genesis. This fine work of art will help you increase your overall energy regen and at the same time, also boost your damage.
Alternatively, you can also choose to go for weapons like the Lunar Cutter or Commando of Conviction. These weapons are very strong in their own ways and can bring a lot to the table.
Again if we compare the damage of the Emerald of Genesis with the other 2 weapons, there is a big enough gap to make the Emerald of Genesis come out the clear favorite.
Ideal Team
Alongside the best build, it is also important to have the ideal team. As Yangyang is a secondary DPS character, you will need to have a main DPS and support character to go along with her. You can also opt to use Yangyang in a more supportive role and utilize another secondary DPS character in your team
The main reason for having a secondary DPS character in your team will be the help they provide to your main DPS. In Yangyang’s case, the main way she helps her DPS characters is by giving them an energy boost. Having a character like Jiyan as your carry will be very useful as Jiyan relies a lot on energy to be successful. Similarly, someone like Encore can also hugely benefit from Yangyang’s presence. Check out our ultimate Jiyan guide if you choose to go with this team composition!
Having selected a main DPS, you will also need to find the perfect third member to round out your team. For support, you can go for someone like Verina or Baizhi. Both of these characters are among the best supports in the game and can help make your team much stronger. Another option that you can go for is adding another secondary DPS character to your team. You can play Yangyang in a more supportive role and go for some secondary DPS character like Mortefi.
This isn’t the ideal way to play Yangyang, but it is doable if you desperately need the utility that she provides.
Overall Playstyle
Yangyang is overall a pretty simple character to understand. She will provide your team with good damage, but above that she is great for the utility she provides. Her utility mainly comes in the form of energy regen.
When playing her, the main thing to keep in mind is who you bring in after her. Her outro skill will give a big boost in energy regen, and this is best utilized by your DPS character. Other than that, you will want to use Yangyang in short durations.
DPS is one of the first things to consider when building a team in Wuthering Waves. It plays a big part in dictating what your team composition will be and what playstyle to adopt. When it comes to choosing a DPS character in this game, the best option in most cases will be Jiyan.
Jiyan is very good at what he does, which is dealing damage. He can take care of any enemy in no time at all, making him an ideal pick for almost any situation. Like all characters in Wuthering Waves though, to get the best out of him, you must use him correctly.
In this guide, we will be looking at what the best way is to play Jiyan in Wuthering Waves. Other than him being very strong, Jiyan is also extremely fun to play. So, by picking him up you will be getting the strongest character and one of the most fun ones to play.
Best Build for Jiyan
How you build a character in Wuthering Waves plays a big part in determining how strong they will feel. The main aspects to consider for your build are your Echos and Weapons. Alongside that it is also important to assemble the perfect team to bring the best out of your character.
We will be looking at the Echoes, Weapons, and team selection in more detail below.
Echos
For your Echos, the Feilian Beringal is easily the best Main Echo to go for. It is one of the best Echos for Aero damage dealers, making it perfect for Jiyan. Other than Feilian Beringal, the Cyan-Feathered Heron is also a perfectly fine option to go for. It isn’t as good as Feiling Beringal, but good enough to do the job.
The stat bonuses you need to be looking at for the secondary stats are going to be:
Energy Regen
CRIT Rate
CRIT DMG
ATK
Heavy ATK
Energy Regen is easily going to be your highest priority, mainly because Jiyan is fully dependent on having his Resonance Liberation. He uses a lot of energy and having Energy Regen will make it significantly easy to pilot him. Once you get used to him, you can sacrifice a little bit of Energy Regen for more damage.
Lastly for Sonata effects, you will ideally want to have a full 5-set Sierra Gale bonus. Jiyan loves to have Aero effect bonuses, and having a full Sierra Gale set will help you increase your damage by a lot. Other than that, Lingering Tunes is also not a bad option.
Weapons
As it is his signature weapon, The Verdant Summit is easily the best weapon option for Jiyan. The weapon will give him a huge damage bonus in the form of extra damage related to Resonance skills. This is perfect for Jiyan, as it perfectly complements his overall playstyle and ideal fighting pattern.
If you don’t have the Verdant Summit or want to use something else, weapons like the Lustrous Razor or Autumntrance are pretty good alternatives. Jiyan is mainly just going to be used to dish out damage, and in that aspect, both of these weapons are a bit worse than the Verdant Blade.
Team
You can use up to 3 characters in a team when playing Wuthering Waves. Your team in Wuthering Waves should always be focused on balance above anything else. So, you will need a good balance of DPS and support.
For Jiyan, what you need is 2 characters that will help Jiyan do what he does best, which is dishing out maximum damage. So, what is the best team composition for Jiyan?
Well, Jiyan is always going to be your team’s main DPS. Alongside him, you will ideally want one support too. Verina perfectly fits that role as she is at the moment, one of the best support characters in Wuthering Waves. She will provide a lot of damage boost and healing to your team, helping you substantially increase Jiyan’s overall damage.
The third character to round out your comp can be a Sub-DPS character. This character should be able to deal good secondary damage and help out your team. Mortefi should be able to do that as he has more than good enough damage and will help boost Jiyan’s heavy attack damage.
Both Mortefi and Verina have to be unlocked if you want to use them. If you don’t have them, you can go for someone like Yangyan for Sub-DPS and Baizhi for support. they are both unlocked by default, meaning everyone will have access to them. Of course, they aren’t as good as the previous 2, but they are good enough to do the job until you unlock Mortefi and Verina.
Jiyan is honestly pretty easy to play, considering how strong he is. He will take you some time to get used to his attack patterns and stuff, but nothing too complicated.
The main thing to remember about Jiyan is how reliant he is on his Resonance Liberation move. To fully maximize your damage potential, try to always use Jiyan with his Resonance Libteration. Once you get a hang of how he works, Jiyan becomes a force to be reckoned with.
Like all RPGs, the Wuthering Waves combat system is crucial to progressing in the game. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t complex! With several different aspects coming together, it’s important to understand it fully to play the game as well as possible. So, to help you with that, here is our Ultimate Combat Guide to Wuthering Waves!
Ultimate Combat Guide | Elements, Skills, and More
While it’s true that there are some similarities between Wuthering Waves and other games in the genre, there is a real attempt at uniqueness. Although Genshin Impact also uses Elements, there are still plenty of differences between the two. Here, we’ll be breaking down the different aspects of Wuthering Waves’ combat system.
Elements
To begin with, each character in the game is assigned a single attribute or Element, of which there are 6:
Fusion = Fire
Glacio = Ice
Electro = Electric
Aero = Air
Havoc = Dark/Chaos
Spectro = Light
These signify the type of damage a character will deal in combat. If an enemy gets attacked with its own element-type damage, it will resist it.
Attack Types
There are several different attacks you can use in Wuthering Waves’ combat. Between the basic attacks and the fancier, more special attacks, you’ll have plenty of choices for defeating opponents. Your options are:
Basic Attack
Heavy Attack
Dodge
Parry
Resonance Skill
Resonance Liberation
Forte
Intro and Outro Skills
Don’t worry, we’ll be going over each one in detail!
Basic and Heavy Attacks
As the name suggests, Basic Attacks are your bread and butter and are done by pressing the Basic Attack button. Pressing it multiple times will have your character perform a Basic Attack Combo.
By performing a Basic Attack while in mid-air, you can do a ground attack. Alternatively, you can hold in the Basic Attack button to perform a Heavy Attack. This deals much more damage but both of these attacks will cost Stamina.
Dodge and Parry Counters
As important as it is to attack an enemy, it’s also important to avoid being hit. To do this, you’ll need to use the Dodge key. Dodging an attack allows you to dash out of the way, and even double jump, but you can also perform a Special Dodge.
For this, timing is key. By dodging right before an opponent’s attack is about to hit you, you’ll do a flip, time will slow down, and you’ll be invulnerable for a short time. Attacking now allows you to perform a special counterattack.
Watch out for a shrinking ring of light that can appear around your enemy when in combat. This is called a Weakness Halo, and timing your attack to land when the two rings touch will allow you to parry. This will also give you a period of invulnerability, as well as damaging the opponent’s Vibration Strength.
If an enemy’s Vibration Strength is fully depleted, it will become Downed. In this state, you can attack it as much as you want, but watch out! It doesn’t last forever, and when it recovers, it will immediately attack.
Resonance
Each Resonator has two unique skills: a Resonance Skill and a Resonance Liberation skill. The Resonance Skill is more of a basic ability, as it has a much shorter cooldown but does less impact than the other.
The Resonance Liberation skill, on the other hand, uses up Resonance Energy. You generate this by dealing damage and dodging attacks, and each character has their own Resonance Energy meter. By having a longer cooldown, requiring a certain amount of Resonance Energy and creating a lot more impact, it’s more of a finishing move.
Forte
The Forte Gauge can be found above the health bar, and filling it up allows for enhanced attacks and abilities. Each Resonator also has a unique special ability that can be performed by using the Forte Gauge.
To find out what a specific character’s special abilities are, use the button on the bottom-right corner of the Character Overview page.
Intro and Outro Skills
Concerto Energy, seen to the left of the health bar, can also be filled by dodging attacks and dealing damage. Once filled, the icons of your other Resonators will light up, signifying you can switch characters.
When switching from your character with the Concerto Meter filled, they will perform an Outro Skill. This is unique for each Resonator and does different things, from additional damage to a healing boost, and so on.
The new character you’ve selected, once the previous one’s Outro Skill has been completed, will perform an Intro Skill. It’s a good way to use special attacks while also ensuring you’re not focusing only on one character during combat!

While the Elemental system in Wuthering Wavesmay sound similar to that of Genshin Impact, there are some differences. For one, Elements do not react with each other in the same sense as in Genshin.
In this guide, we’ll be explaining how the Elemental System in Wuthering Waves works, including their unique take on Reactions.
Elemental Reaction System Explained
There are a total of 6 different elements in Wuthering Waves. Each character has an element or attribute assigned to them, and this dictates the type of damage they deal in combat. These elements are:
Fusion – Fire
Glacio – Ice
Electro – Electric
Aero – Air
Havoc – Dark/Chaos
Spectro – Light
Each playable character in the game has an element attached to them. But, most importantly, so do enemies. The main Reaction you will find in Wuthering Waves is when a character is fighting an enemy with the same element type. An enemy can resist damage from its own element type. In other words, a Glacio-type enemy will resist Glacio damage, and so on.
Intro and Outro Skills
In place of the Elemental Reactions you might find in other gacha games like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves uses Intro and Outro Skills. These are triggered by switching between Resonators while in combat. To do this, you need to fill up your Concerto meter, located at the bottom of the screen.
Your characters will gain Concerto Energy by dealing damage and using Dodges in combat. Once the meter is filled, the other Resonators’ icons will light up, indicating that switching to one will trigger an Intro and Outro Skill.
Once you’ve switched to a new Resonator while your Concerto meter is full, it will trigger your current character’s Outro. When finished, your newly selected character’s Intro Skill will play out.
Since each Resonator’s skills are unique to them, it’s important to use them strategically. For instance, a support character’s Outro skill may provide additional healing, while a DPS character’s Intro may deal extra damage. Figuring out which strategies work best is all part of the fun!

One thing that XDefiant doesn’t lack in is weapons. From small and compact SMGs to devastating sniper rifles, there are tons of different weapons to choose from. With so many weapons in the game, finding the best ones can be a bit difficult.
Luckily, we have created a tier list that ranks the weapons in this game based on how good they are. With the game having just been released, people are still trying out all the weapons in the game and figuring out what’s best. Knowing which weapons are the best will help you take over any lobby you play in.
Gun Tier List
There are a total of 17 unlockable weapons from all the different weapon classes on our tier list. Most of the weapons on the list will have to be unlocked before you can use them. If you haven’t unlocked all the weapons in XDefiant, make sure you check out our article on how to unlock every weapon in XDefiant. With all that being said, here is our tier list for all the weapons in the game.
Starting our list we have the MP7 SMG, which for a lot of people is the best weapon in the game. In terms of overall stats, the MP7 isn’t the best at anything in particular. Instead, it is pretty much good at everything it does. On top of that, it is also pretty easy to get used to, making it an amazing weapon for players of all skill levels.
M870
The M870 in XDefiant fits the most classic definition of a shotgun. It is a pump-action shotgun that pretty much decimates anyone close to you. What separates the M870 from the other shotguns in this game is its consistency. Make sure you avoid long range engagements, as that is pretty much the only weakness of the weapon.
ACR
To finish off the S-tier weapons we have the ACR assault rifle. Unlike the other 2 weapons in the S-tier, the ACR isn’t the best when it comes to short-range combat. It makes up for it though with to its long-range proficiency. It is also the only assault rifle in the game that is very good at all ranges.
A-tier
AK-47
In terms of pure stats, the AK-47 is as good as any assault rifle in the game. The main downside of the gun is its high recoil, which will require you to fire in bursts when fighting from range. Despite that, the AK-47 earns its place in the A-tier due to its high DPS.
P90
The best way to describe the P90 is an SMG with the magazine size of an LMG. Outside LMGs, the P90 has the largest magazine size in the game. Alongside that, the P90 also has decent fire rate and damage. The main thing putting the P90 in the A-tier instead of the S-tier is its slightly lower overall damage than the MP7.
Vector
Another SMG, the Vector is one of the hardest weapons in the game to rank. It has the highest fire rate in the game and more than decent damage to go along with it. The weapon pretty much melts anyone instantly. The Vector falls slightly short of the S-tier mainly due to its low magazine size and slightly hard-to-control recoil.
Double Pump
Like the Vector, the Double Pump shotgun is another weapon that is extremely difficult to rank. While it has the best damage in its class, the Double Pump sometimes feels too inconsistent. This is mainly due to its low ammo capacity and having to reload after firing 2 shells.
B-tier
M249
The M249 overall has pretty average stats, as the damage and fire rate are both OK. LMGs in XDefiant are generally a bit weaker than SMGs and assault rifles. So despite being the highest ranked LMG in this list, the M249 still finds itself in the B-tier. If you do happen to be an LMG enjoyer though, the M249 might be the weapon for you.
MK20SSR
The MK20SSR has everything you would expect from a marksman rifle. For mid to long range engagements, there aren’t many guns better than the MK20SSR. Similar to LMGs though, marksman rifles in XDefiant are overall a weaker class when compared to SMGs or assault rifles. The gun has clear strengths, but it also has glaring weaknesses.
TAC-50
If you are looking for pure damage, then look no further than the TAC-50. This sniper rifle can make quick work of anyone at any range in this game. Just one shot to the chest or head will take down any opponent. This is again a weapon that takes some time getting used to. It rewards good accuracy, but is very punishing if you miss. In the right hands, the TAC-50 is as good as any weapon in the game.
SVD
The SVD is the perfect bridge weapon from the marksman rifle class to the sniper class. In a way, it mixes both and creates a very fun weapon to use. The SVD has lower damage than the snipers in this game, but makes up for it by having a higher rate of fire.
M44
The M44 has the second highest damage in the game for any weapon, right below TAC-50. Like the TAC-50, the M44 is also a bolt-action sniper rifle. If you are looking for a faster firing and less punishing sniper than the TAC-50, then the M44 is the perfect weapon for you.
C-tier
M16
The M16 is the most unique assault rifle in XDefiant. While all the assault rifles in this game are fully automatic, the M16 is instead 3-round burst. For players who want an assault rifle purely for precision, the M16 is a great choice to go for.
M4
The M4 in XDefiant is the perfect definition of “jack of all trades, master of none”. The main strength of the weapon is how easy it is to control. There is minimal recoil and landing multiple shots on one person is very straightforward. It is important to note that the M4 is the starting assault rifle. So even if it is worse than the other rifles, its still usable and everyone has access to it.
MP5
In many ways, the MP5 is just the SMG version of the M4. A perfect starting weapon, but when compared to other weapons in the class, The MP5 falls just a little bit short. It is probably the most flexible weapon in the SMG class, but that doesn’t make up for its much worse performance in short ranged engagements.
D-tier
M60
Finally for the D-tier, we start off with the M60 LMG. The M60 has the highest damage in the class, but at the same time, the lowest fire rate. One positive about the weapon is its huge magazine size. Unfortunately that still doesn’t stop the weapon from landing in the D-tier as its overall damage potential is just too low when compared to other weapons.
RPK
Unsurprisingly, the other D-tier weapon is also an LMG. The RPK in this game has very similar damage to the M249, but with a much lower fire rate. Unlike the other 2 LMGs on this list, the RPK has a faster default reload than the other LMGs as it uses a magazine similar to assault rifles. In most cases this will be a clear advantage, but the game allows you to use a similar magazine when you are using the M249. So there are pretty much no advantages of using the RPK over the M249.
So there you have it, a weapon tier list for XDefiant showcasing the best weapons and the worst weapons. In a competitive shooter like XDefiant, any advantage that you can get is valuable. Knowing which weapons are best will give you a significant advantage over your opponents, helping you win more gun fights.
In just a short amount of time, XDefiant by Ubisoft has become one of the most popular FPS games on the market. To unlock the AA-12 shotgun, you will need to get 15 kills with shotguns from point-blank range. Point-blank in XDefiant is defined as a range of 5 meters or less. Even though there isn’t an exact way to measure 5 meters in game, you can basically think of it as being right in front of someone.
LMGs
M249
Unlocked by default.
RPK-74
To unlock the RPK-74 in this game, you will need to deal 10,000 damage with LMGs. You can use any of the 3 LMGs to complete this challenge.

TAC-50

Secondaries
M9
Unlocked by default.
686 Magnum
Like most weapons in this game, you can unlock the 686 Magnum by completing a specific challenge. The revolver can be unlocked by getting 5 Quick-Swap kills.
Quick-Swap kills in XDefiant are kills you perform shortly after switching over to your sidearm. You don’t have to perform all these kills in the same game, which makes the challenge significantly easier.
M1911
To get the M1911 in XDefiant, players will need to get at least 4 secondary weapon point-blank kills. Anything less than 5 meters is considered point-blank in this game. Players can use any of the secondaries, including the M9.
D50
Unlocking the D50 secondary weapon is pretty straightforward: Deal at least 1,000 damage with secondary weapons. Progress carries over through matches, so, it’s considered the “total” damage players have inflicted with secondaries. Players can use any secondary weapon to complete this challenge.
93R
Secondaries are the easiest category of weapons to unlock, and with the 93R, it’s no different. The 93R secondary in XDefiant can be unlocked by sprinting a total of 240 seconds with any secondary weapon.Progress carries over between matches, so players don’t need to complete this challenge in one match.
Most players will already have this weapon unlocked naturally, especially if they main secondary weapons.
Conclusion
So there you have it, a guide on how to unlock every weapon in XDefiant. Surprisingly, the game doesn’t have many weapons which many would consider “hard” to unlock. In any case, in a competitive shooter like XDefiant, it is essential to find the weapon that suits your playstyle the most, so it might be a good idea to unlock and try all weapons!
NOTE: Please let us know if any weapons are missing, we want to keep this article updated.
Out of all the different weapon classes in FPS games, the SMG class is often the most popular one. SMGs are known for their high mobility and damage in mid to close range engagements. In XDefiant this is no different, as most players would consider SMGs to be the strongest weapon class in the game.
If you are someone who doesn’t like anything more than getting up close and personal against their opponents and then unleashing hell upon them, then look no further than the MP7. It’s a great weapon for players who like playing aggressively and want a reliable gun. To use the weapon though, you must first unlock it.
How to Unlock MP7 Weapon
Unlocking the MP7 is fairly easy and straightforward. First, go to your home screen and click on challenges. Then, switch on over to the base challenges where you will see a list of all the different unlockable weapons. From there, select the MP7 to view its description and Unlock requirement, which reads “Get 20 SMG Point-Blank Kills(<5m)”.
So basically, you should get as close as possible to your enemies before killing them with an SMG. The best way to complete this challenge quickly is to employ an aggressive playstyle, where you will actively seek to maximize your kills.
You should use cover, in the form of walls and objects, as you are closing down on your enemies, so they have difficulty in being able to see you coming. This will enable you to get the jump on them in a close quarters situation, where you will likely come out on top as SMGs excel in close-range situations.
You can use any SMG to complete this challenge. If you’ve already unlocked it, you can use the P90 to make this challenge much easier. Check out our guide on how to unlock the P90 to learn more about that.
Level Up Your MP7 to Further Improve It
After you unlock the MP7, continue to use the same aggressive playstyle that earned you this SMG to quickly level it up and unlock new attachments. Fully leveling up a weapon in XDefiant will net you all of its attachments, which will make your weapon even more powerful than before.
Your fire rate, weapon sway, reload speed, and other measures can all be improved with the addition of these new attachments. Thus, using the right combination of attachments on a strong weapon, such as the MP7, will empower you to outperform your allies and dominate your opponents.
Moreover, continuously adapting your loadouts to the current meta and using the faction that best suits your style of play will put you in a position where you can consistently thrive in XDefiant.
