Minisforum V3 is a pretty great tablet so far

(Not sure it is strictly accounted for as a mini PC, but Minisforum is a popular brand here)

Just got the V3 in today. After set up, I ran it through some productivity software at work, as well as some local gaming, pretty awesome tablet so far.

It's been working incredibly well as a moonlight client for my main gaming PC too.

I can't speak on the stylus too much. Seems great, but I am not too technical with digital pens.

The stand however, is utter trash. It feels like it's about to snap in half when you use it. I will definitely be opting for a third party case in the near future.

If anyone needs a benchmark ran, just let me know. I know quite a few people were on the fence about the device.

Loking for tiny, low wattage machine

I'm looking for a device that consumes as less as possible, to run: - pihole - torrent client - nas - web server for home

I have a RPi Zero which is perfect for pihole, but barely runs the torrent client. I am looking at HP T530, Dell Wyse 3040, and similar hw but I don't really know which one will drink less juice. Thanks!

Ryzen-based mini PC's with heat issues

I have been looking to buy a mini PC for a few weeks now and am totally confused. I think I would like one based on a Ryzen 9 7940HS or a R7 7840HS. I have watched a ton of YouTube videos and some talk about the heat issue where the PC just reboots or locks up, etc. I finally found a YT video that said the Minisforum UM790 Pro did not have heat/reboot problems. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEaykuDJROQ

I went to Amazon to look at reviews and there were several/many that said the UM790Pro had heat/reboot problems. Some of those complaints were from people that did not game and had the problems when the computer was just idling. Anybody have any insights to this problem?

Gamesir X2s doesn't connect to Poco M5

Gamesir X2s doesn't connect to Poco M5

Gamesir X2s finally arrived today and when I connect it with my Poco M5, it didn't register at all, not even a single flash in the light indicator. I really thought it was broken but when I popped it with my brother's phone (Samsung A03s) it worked. Is there something I need to do for it to be working on my phone?

HP Elitedesk 800 G3

So I bought a mini PC from eBay mainly to use on my TV in my bedroom for streaming and maybe some light gaming/emulation.

The thing is the WiFi connectivity on it is absolutely awful. It has an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 inside.

It seems absolutely fine when the range is small - I was able to game on it using parsec when it was in the same room as my main PC - however my bedroom is quite far from the router. It is honestly pathetic up here, took me 10 minutes to download a 40mb driver update and YouTube is unwatchable.

The thing is my phone doesn't struggle at all, it gets ~100x faster speeds, and maybe ~50x after I updated drivers.

I imagine these are designed for an office environment with a number of WiFi access points, I.e. low range applications?

Just wondered if anyone else had any experience with this and wanted to chip in before I try replacing the WiFi card/trying a beefier USB adaptor.

Emulation setup - Tablet

Hello all, I would like to setup my tablet for emulation for different emulators for n64, gamecube, ps1, ps2 and so on.. Sometimes I want to connect it to TV with possibility to connect 2 or more joysticks for local multiplayer. Which types of gamepad do I need? Do I need to buy some USB hub so i could connect usb dongles (+usb2HDMI for TV) or there is possibility to connect multiple joysticks via Bluetooth direct on tablet. Any suggestions are welcome 😁 This question is more related to hardware equipment. Do most of emulators for android support such setup?

Aethersx2 HP COS terrible performance

Hey im trying to Play HP but unfortunately after casting flippendo im getting serious slowdowns. I'm at the very first minutes of the game, didnt walk out of Weasleys garden and figuring out what can I do about the performance. When Im trying to catch minions and facing Weasleys, Im getting lagged too. Im using Poco F5 Pro 12/256 GB.

Have you managed to fix those slowdowns?

BOTW running in slow motion on S24 Ultra

So I'm using Yuzu 278, I'm using Turnip driver v24.1.0 v18 and standard settings. I set my game booster manager to performance mode on my S24 Ultra with ADRENO 750 and 12gb ram. The first time I ran BOTW the game was running around 30fps with stuttering at normal speed, now it runs smoothly at 16/17fps but it moves at slow motion... Did I do something wrong without noticing? Can I do something in particular to fix the issue?
