For a long time, the best game motorsport management fans could get their hands on was, well, Motorsport Manager. Now, that isn’t the case anymore, as F1 Manager 24 has managed to overtake it both in the number of features and how well all of them are implemented.

First, let’s talk about Create-a-Team. This is one of the few things that MM had, and last year’s edition, F1 Manager 23, didn’t. That might be because people at Frontier were at that point most concerned with delivering the most accurate, raw, undiluted F1 managerial experience out there, and they did.

So, I, as an average player, often wonder whether getting the new release is really worth it. Am I really going to pay full price only to get new kits, transfers, and animations? I think F1 24 falls into that category, with the upgrades on last year’s game being minimal at best.

Throughout the years, Codemasters’ F1 as a franchise has grown immensely, and there are more features now than ever. Time trials, co-op career, ranked multiplayer, my team, you name it. Every mode that you can possibly think of has made it to the game.

Farthest Frontier is, in a way, Manor Lord’s older brother. It has almost the same features, and it’s been in early access for a while now, making its way from being a buggy mess to a very playable medieval city-builder you can sink hundreds of hours into. Using a Rainbow Swirl in Pet Sim 99 will give your character a colorful aura for a couple of seconds, as is shown in the image above, and that is it. You’ll get no buff, currency, or anything of the sort. There are really few items in the game that are as useless as this rainbow-colored poop emoji. Actually, the pet speed enchantment is pretty close.
