ARC Raiders leads the way as my most anticipated extraction shooter

ARC Raiders leads the way as my most anticipated extraction shooter

Extraction shooters are the next big multiplayer trend following the tsunami of battle royales a few years ago. The likes of Gray Zone Warfare, Arena Breakout Infinite, and Exoborne are all looking to replicate the success of forefathers like Escape From Tarkov. One that I’ve always been incredibly curious about is ARC Raiders from The Finals developer Embark Studios, and after a long time underground, it’s finally resurfaced. I’m pleased to say that, after attending a recent preview event, it’s looking like one of the more interesting extraction games, but it comes with one very big twist - when it drops next year, it will no longer be free to play.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 teasers reveal a punchy new Zombies perk

I don’t usually let myself get swept up in the annual wave of pre-release Call of Duty hysteria - I’ve been burned too many times by the series in recent years. However, this time around I’m making an exception because everything that I’ve seen about Black Ops 6 so far is looking mighty fine to me. Zombies is one of the biggest aspects I’m excited for - a proper return to round-based action from the maestros at Treyarch - and two teasers that just dropped on social media appear to be revealing a new Perk-A-Cola and a new enemy type that you’ll be facing in BO6.

It has long been perceived that those using a controller - whether that be on a console or on a PC - gives you a serious advantage over those using mouse and keyboard. Well, it seems like Respawn is finally set to agree, as Apex Legends Season 22 will include a significant nerf to aim assist for those using a controller in lobbies where there are also PC players.
