Riot rotates a series of skins in the store, with the savviest of us holding out until the cosmetic they want ends up in the discount section store or even the League of Legends Mythic shop. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang As Moba Legends: 5v5! In India
The once-popular MOBA game, which is known as
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and developed by Moonton, appears to have
relaunched on Google Play Store for Android users in India with a
new name. The game is now called Moba Legends: 5v5!, it offers same
user experience like MLBB, ensuring a smooth transition for previous
players.
According to its listing on the Google Play Store, the Vizta Games is credited
as the publisher of the game. Vizta Games is known for titles like
Mobile Party and Watcher of Realms -AP. Interestingly, the
support email provided on the Play Store listing does not bear any affiliation
with Moonton or Vizta Games but instead uses a standard consumer Gmail domain.
Moba Legends: 5v5! Gameplay
Moba Legends: 5v5! Updates
The privacy policy page of Moba legends: 5v5! is linked with "VIZTA PTE. LTD",
It is a Singapore-based company, and the operator of the game. Whois records
shows the Domain is registered with "Alibaba Cloud Computing".
Despite its ban in June 2020, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang can still be access in
India through manual installation of the APK from external sources. The game's
servers remain operational within the country, allowing players to enjoy the
game without the need for VPNs or other workarounds. Notably, the in-game
Diamond Store still displays prices in USD, despite previously using Indian
Rupees (INR) prior to the ban.
The ban was imposed along with 58 other Chinese apps by the Ministry of
Information Technology, the reason cited concerns over activities deemed
detrimental to India's sovereignty, integrity, defense, security, and public
order.
In response, the MLBB Operation Team stated its commitment to user privacy and
security, stating efforts to collaborate with the Indian government in
reinstating the game. Requests for clarification from Moonton by various media
outlets, including Esports.net, GamingonPhone, as well as IGN India are yet to
get a response from MLBB team.
Apex Legends: Shockwave Arrives August 6 – With New Map E-District, Automatic Respawns, Loot Refreshes and More
Summary
New map: E-District brings vibrant cyberpunk flair and densely populated points of interest to encourage movement and close-range fights
Akimbo is coming! Legends can dual-wield the P2020 and Mozambique weapons
Gameplay changes include new Revival system, new gold and mythic bins, tweaks to ammo and magazine stack sizes and more
Season 22 of Apex Legends is almost here, and promises a ‘shocking’ shake-up to the high-octane battle royale. Numerous tweaks to gameplay are coming across all modes, and updates to playable Legends and more await on the horizon. But first, let’s get a look at the sixth map coming to Apex Legends in Shockwave: E-District.
During a recent Shockwave preview event, Apex Legends World Director Ed Agostini described E-District as an “urban playground that’s a culmination of five years of learning,” and shared that it’s the most densely populated map to date. The design of E-District places emphasis on freedom of movement, packed with multi-layered architecture, and the introduction of new Gravity Cannons, which can launch Legends high up into the air or across large distances.
Lots of points of interest are designed with close quarters combat in mind, including the tight, winding alleys of Street Market, the ultra-vibrant Neon Square, inspired by Shibuya Center in Tokyo, and the Neon Oval Raceway, an old racetrack converted into makeshift residential spots perfect for chaotic indoor shootouts. The entire map is coated in gorgeous post-Cyberpunk inspiration, and it’ll be in heavy rotation for the first split of the season so players can explore it fully.
New Revival Feature and Battle Sense Rollout
Josh Mohan, Associate Design Director on Apex Legends, shares Respawn has also been assessing changes that will benefit newcomers and more casual players to foster an environment where everyone can learn and have fun regardless of their skill level. One major change promising to change-up the meta is the Revival feature, which provides another way for defeated players to get back into the match with ease.
When a player is eliminated, a respawn timer will kick in, and when the timer hits zero, that teammate will automatically respawn near their surviving teammates without the need for a Respawn Beacon. Surviving squad mates can even speed up the return of their fallen Legends by getting knocks and kills for an even faster return to the fray.
Mohan shares that the addition of Revival is to “shake-up the core combat loop of Apex,” and create more opportunities for players to get into and stay in the action. It also encourages more players to take risks which results in more fun, dynamic situations during matches.
One other change will see the Battle Sense feature, initially created to help players navigate the battlefield in solo mode, roll into the team-based battle royale mode in Shockwave. The benefits of this mode include visibility of enemy health bars, as well as highlighted attackers at close range.
Bin Day
Shockwave will also introduce new ways for Legends to gather up loot during a match. Mid-way through a game, all open loot bins on the map will close back up and reroll fresh loot for passing players. This not only provides new opportunities to stock up or change items, but also takes away environmental clues that a team has looted the area before you, which is interesting.
Two brand new bins will also offer opportunities for Legends to grab those high-end loadouts and attachments. A few gold bins, containing better loot and items (including gold attachments) will randomly appear in the place of regular bins, while one mythic bin somewhere on the map is guaranteed to contain Evo for your shield, a gold weapon, or a mythic weapon found in care package drops. Be mindful though, every team can see the location of the mythic bin, which is sure to cause some squabbles over the coveted items inside.
Guns Akimbo
If like me you’re into dual-wielding, you’re going to feel right at home with Shockwave’s new Akimbo update, which allows Legends to carry and fire two P2020 pistols or Mozambique shotguns in combat.
However, wielding two guns won’t mean endless looting to kit them out – the second gun is essentially a mirror of the one in your equipment, including all of its attachments. While in Akimbo, both guns are also fully automatic with improved hip fire for ease in those scrappy close-up fights.
Light Machine Guns are also receiving a little love this season with the Gun Shield Generator hop-up, which gives you a small shield in your sights. It won’t save you from those aggressive flanks, but will absorb precious damage if you’re being attacked head-on.
Battle Pass and New Cosmetics
Of course, every season comes equipped with a new Battle Pass full of treats – new Legendary skins for Legends and weapons, as well as Exotic Shards, but Shockwave is making it a little more attainable for players. Battle Passes are now shorter, and you’ll get two throughout Shockwave’s duration – one at the start of the season on August 6 and another at the seasonal split. You’ll also be able to unlock the premium Battle Pass for free, just by completing in-game challenges – so save up those Apex Coins!
All of this and more is heading to Apex Legends: Shockwave, launching on August 6. Hop in for free on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. For more updates on Shockwave’s new content, head to the official Apex Legends website.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play first-person battle royale shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment. With the upcoming Shockwave update, a suite of changes are coming alongside the new season relayed by Game Director Steve Ferreira and Design Director Evan Nikolich. Take a look at the Shockwave Dev Update video for information on key changes to the player respawn system, quality-of-life updates, enemy health bars, akimbo for certain weapons, and more for Apex Legends.
For what feels like an age, aim assist has been one of the most hotly-debated topics for PC Apex Legends players. It has long been perceived that those using a controller - whether that be on a console or on a PC - gives you a serious advantage over those using mouse and keyboard. Well, it seems like Respawn is finally set to agree, as Apex Legends Season 22 will include a significant nerf to aim assist for those using a controller in lobbies where there are also PC players.

Title:Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends) Type of Game: Racing Developer: Gameloft Publisher: Gameloft Released: February 26, 2018 Platforms Available: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, iOS, Android Platform Reviewed: PC Level of Maturity: Everyone 10+ Reading Time: 6 minutes
Arcade Racing Reborn
The era of frantic arcade racing is almost gone by now. Games like Forza Horizon and The Crew Motorfest may have taken the lead in this gaming area. Still, as gamers, we miss the days of sliding our Ferrari F50 around corners at just the right angles, with a first or second-generation Sony console sitting on the shelf next to the TV, pumping blood through our veins under insane pressure, providing the perfect atmosphere. Asphalt Legends Unite, which came out a week or so ago on PlayStation 5, would be criminal to compare to classics of decades past, such as 2006’s OutRun, which I experienced (though certainly not at the original time of release per se). Still, it’s probably the closest comparison I could find to the PS5 of today.
Free-to-Play Frenzy: The Microtransaction Minefield
The first major thing I’d start with is one big and hard-to-overlook negative (unsurprisingly): this is a free-to-play game, so there are loot boxes, card packs, microtransactions, and more at every turn. New cars are unlocked by collecting cards and earning duplicates to increase their stats, like Disney Speedstorm. You’re also limited by the petrol tank, which does regenerate over time. Still, you want to play for a long time. In that case, you need to have more cars because you can’t use the same one over and over, which, of course, also tempts you to pay for some of it from your actual wallet with bonus currency to refill that all-important petrol immediately if you don’t want to wait.
Gameplay That Defies Gravity
Now, on the other hand, for what you will surely enjoy. On the other hand, the gameplay is outstanding, at least by the standards of pure, unadulterated arcades. Tracks like San Francisco and the Himalayas are (in a good way) ridiculously oversaturated, with one race having you sprinting down a mountain. At the same time, hot air balloons fly above you. It captures that beloved nostalgia of “old school” titles. It’s not over the top, but the game won’t leave you sitting comfortably in your chair. Despite including real cars, the game defies physics quite a bit. Double-tapping the handbrake button will allow your car to rotate 360 degrees. You can pair this with a ramp, effectively spinning you in the air before landing. These tricks, including the classic drift, complement the vital turbo that often decides who gets to the finish line first. Tapping the button for a more robust version of the extra power at the right time for “Perfect Nitro” will also add extra speed.
Tracks That Keep You Coming Back
As for the tracks above, while there aren’t many of them, they still manage to keep you entertained over and over again due to the absurd scenes that keep happening and the intense pace of the game. The car upgrade system is traditionally straightforward but adequate for a mobile game. You need to use the car often and gradually grind it out. The career, which is probably the most comprehensive part of the game, is in the spirit of constantly unlocking more and more repetitive race combinations, which are searched in about 10 identical locations. However, this is compensated by the pace mentioned above and the races’ intensity. Again, there’s quite a variety of tricks you’ll be performing across the races on your opponents. The repetitiveness will slap you in the face, but you’ll go through all the amazing action with hardly any real feeling.
Sonic Bliss which Steals the Show
Before the actual verdict, I’d like to mention Asphalt Legends Unite’s soundtrack, which is simply perfect and atmospheric and will suck you into an already frantic pace. Every song in the game is well-chosen and fits the game perfectly. We’re certainly not a fan of music from recent years, but here the music simply suited my taste. Rock, pop, and rap are the most represented here. No one genre overpowers another here; everything is balanced, specifically rap, which I generally don’t like. It was also excellent here, and I enjoyed it. No vulgarisms or anything like that. Just and only decent music. The music has become my favorite aspect of the game, which still keeps me glued to the monitor despite the overall traditional, straightforward mobile game concept, which I’m not used to as a regular PlayStation gamer. It’s a shame that the latest titles in the Need for Speed series don’t have this kind of music. The game world would be a more beautiful place right away.
The Final Lap
The monetization may put off a lot of gamers. Still, the free-to-play format means anyone can jump in and enjoy the sheer absurdity of some tracks and cars. It’s a very action-packed, intense, and utterly absurd gameplay experience with phenomenal music that’s designed to be played in relatively short bursts, so if you’re craving something silly, simple, and utterly over-the-top to play after a grueling day at work, there aren’t many better options on the PS5. Sometimes, all a game needs is simple albeit silly fun, and Asphalt Legends Unite offers precisely that. I was initially going to give the game 70% at best, but the music of this game won me over, so finally, the rating is a little higher. Feel free to lynch me for this, but I stand by it! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I will move on. Rating: 75%

„Mluvili jste a my jsme vám naslouchali,“ stojí v prohlášení zveřejněném na Twitteru.
Apex Legends developers Respawn Entertainment have announced that poorly-received plans to overhaul the battle royale's Premium Battle Pass will be partially walked back. Most crucially, the new passes – set to launch alongside the upcoming Season 22 in August – will no longer be sold exclusively for real-world cash; as with previous BPs, players will still be able to buy them with accumulated in-game currency.

Somehow, a combination of League of Legends and Vampire Survivors has produced something strangely relaxing. The infamously intense MOBA is getting a new mode this summer - just temporarily, at least for now - called Swarm, taking characters from League and design elements of the recently formed "bullet heaven" wave survival genre. But the big twist is that for all the on-screen carnage - and there is a lot of on-screen carnage - the result is something strangely chilled out.
Like all things League of Legends these days, Swarm has been fleshed out with reams of worldbuilding backstory. The mode is set within the alternate universe world of Anima Squad - for those understandably not in the know, Riot Games themes its many of its paid-for character skins in League of Legends around alternate realities or short fictional stories, like the cyberpunk-themed PROJEKT skin line, or the K/DA skins that tied champions to Riot's virtual pop group of the same name.
The vibe with Anima Squad is a kind of peppy, futuristic anime-sci-fi, where a group of heroes - with animal-enhanced abilities - defend the remnants of earth from an alien invasion. For the new mode, Riot has built out that universe further, with a range of enemy types introduced from the invading Primordians - purple, shark-like grunts and their bosses of various sizes, who believe themselves to be the "white blood cells" wiping out the virus of humanity - and the mode's various maps set in different parts of a post-apocalyptic Runeterra.

Interested in learning more about the new PvE game mode, Swarm? Check out our "LoL Anima Squad Swarm PvE Event 2024 Explained" guide here, detailing its core gameplay loop, playable champions, mechanics, and more!
The Anima Squad universe makes its triumphant return in 2024 as the LoL summer event, bringing with it a brand-new PvE game mode called Swarm. In this mode, champions are reimagined as cute, super-powered warriors standing together against the civilization-ending invasion of the abyssal Primordians.
Veteran players may recall battling hilariously overpowered bots in Doom Bots or defending the world as Star Guardians in Invasion. These PvE modes provided a welcome break from the sweaty PvP scene. Swarm is set to be no different, plunging players into the last bastion of humanity, Final City, in a collaborative experience where everyone’s excited to achieve something together!
What is LoL's New PvE Game Mode, Swarm?
Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad is a deeply replayable, co-op bullet heaven PvE game mode that throws you and your friends into the vibrant world of Anima Squad.
Similar to other bullet heaven games, players control a champion with an auto-firing weapon, maneuvering around the battlefield to take down hordes of enemies. As players progress through the levels and inevitably die (it's part of the genre!), you will discover new augments and weapons that become available in future runs.
The core gameplay loop revolves around running around killing monsters, finding items scattered across the map, building your strength, unlocking permanent upgrades, and strategically spending your currency on power-ups.
With different difficulty levels, replayable maps, and a variety of champion combinations and achievements to unlock, there's always something new to chase. You'll even earn rewards like emotes and titles that you can use across different game modes.
Swarm’s early game eases you in, focusing on eliminating weaker enemies and collecting experience orbs. Once you've gathered enough orbs, you'll be presented with options to level up and significantly boost your power. As you progress and level up more, the fantasy is to experience an ever-growing swarm of projectiles you can unleash.
The first act is narrative-driven, introducing you to bosses, potential allies you can convince to join your cause, and the world's lore through descriptions and simple achievements. Once you complete all four maps, the second phase unlocks: matchmaking.
There will be an Anima Squad hub in the main client, where players can play in a premade party of up to four players. Before entering the queue, players will select their champion and preference of map from those unlocked. Completing all maps in story mode unlocks further levels of difficulty and deeper content!
Playable Champions in Swarm
Swarm features a roster of playable champions, each with a unique kit. These champions wield a powerful auto-attack and two active abilities: a frequently usable attack and a devastating ultimate for clutch moments.
Playable champions include:
Jinx
Seraphine
Leona
Xayah
Illaoi
Yasuo
Briar
Yuumi
Your champions will clash against the fearsome Primordians, twisted creatures driven to eradicate humanity:
Aatrox
Bel’Veth
Rek’Sai
Spires in Swarm Explained
Spires are unique gameplay elements that set Swarm apart from other bullet heavens. These towers, projecting holograms of certain champions, spawn randomly across the map, and players will have to move toward them to activate them.
There are three types of Spires, each requiring different activation methods and offering distinct rewards:
Miss Fortune Spire: Simply approach and activate this Spire for a temporary reward, like an invincible car that you can use to crush your opponents and drive through them. It may also grant buffs such as a short-term attack speed boost.
Yuumi Spires: These require teamwork! The entire team must be present to activate a Yuumi Spire, triggering quests like kicking a football into a goal or destroying scattered vases.
Bel’Veth Spire: Risky but rewarding, these Spires require only one player to activate. However, unleashing Bel’Veth’s power can be dangerous. You may unleash a reign of meteors, an army of enemies, or even spawn a mini-boss! Success grants a hefty XP and gold for upgrades outside of the game.
Swarm Release Date
Swarm is set to go live on July 17, 2024. Gear up and prepare to defend Final City from the world-ending Primordians!
This exciting launch coincides with the release of Aurora, League of Legends's newest solo laner champion. Though her design and abilities highlight her prey-animal theme, she’s not to be taken lightly! Aurora packs a punch and can easily outmaneuver and burst down unsuspecting enemies.
Upon weeks of teasers and appearances in the Spirit of the Hearth-Home minigame, the release date for League of Legends' newest champion, Aurora, is finally here!
Aurora is a rabbit-like Vastaya who can traverse the boundaries between the spirit realm and the material world. Unlike other Vastaya like Ahri and Sett, Aurora embodies the characteristics of a prey animal. However, beneath her seemingly meek exterior lies a force to be reckoned with. Aurora wields powerful spirit magic, flitting across the battlefield and unleashing devastating attacks on her enemies!
When Will the New LoL Champion Aurora be Released?
Aurora's development has been a labor of love and passion for over six years at Riot. Initially just a champion idea, it branched into concepts like Sylas, Yone, the Spirit Blossom event, and even Fiddlesticks' VGU. After this incredible journey, Aurora herself finally arrives on the Rift!
Aurora joins the champion roster on July 17, 2024, alongside the exciting new summer game mode, Anima Squad.
If you’re eager to explore Aurora’s kit and experiment with builds before her official release, be sure to catch her on PBE servers starting on June 25, 2024, with the release of Patch 14.13!
Who is Aurora?
Hailing from the vastayan Bryni tribe in the Freljordian village of Aamu, Aurora was born with the unique ability to see the veil between the spirit and material realms. Aurora had always been an outcast among her people, who have distanced themselves from the mystical arts and are primarily farmers known for their uncanny agricultural prowess, a subtle expression of their magic.
Aurora, however, can see spirits and interact with them, a power long dormant within her tribe. Struggling to connect with her peers, Aurora found solace in the company of nearby spirits. She eventually embarked on a journey across the Freljord to learn more about the spirit realm, even befriending a forgotten demigod on the way!
Aurora is coded as autistic, and her design and gameplay reflect the unique strengths associated with neurodiversity. As Senior Narrative Writer Elyse "apothecarie" Lemoine explains, people on the spectrum often process information and view the world differently. This is incorporated into Aurora's character. She's not the meek prey animal one might expect; she's fearless, and aggressive, and approaches challenges with an unconventional brilliance, defying expectations.
The League of Legends community is gearing up for the PBE release of the newest champion, Aurora, eager to hop onto the Rift and channel the untapped power of the spirit realm.
Aurora is a solo laner that’s designed to be a skirmisher mage. Through Aurora, the LoL dev team wanted to deliver an approachable solo lane champion and bring diversity to LoL's champion roster through the representation of autism. The care and passion poured into her design and kit over the past six years is evident!
Is Aurora on LoL PBE?
After a six-year journey, Aurora takes center stage, bringing her unique spell kit and the magic of the spirit realm to the Rift. The "Witch Between Worlds," Aurora, hits PBE servers on June 25, 2024. Get a first look at her abilities and prepare to outmaneuver your opponents!
Due to the extended three-week Patch 14.13, Aurora's official release is scheduled for July 17, 2024, alongside the exciting new summer game mode, Anima Squad.
How to Install the LoL PBE client?
A great way to stay ahead of the curve and potentially ahead of the emerging meta is to utilize the League of Legends PBE—a server separate from the live servers, giving players a chance to test and experience new patches before their official launch.
Firstly, in order to qualify for the PBE, your account must meet specific requirements:
No history of bans or chat restrictions
Honor Level Three or higher
To sign up for a PBE account, follow these steps:
Visit the PBE signup page and log in to your Riot Games account
Make sure that “PBE” is selected as your preferred client
If your account is eligible, proceed with the PBE account-making process
A new client must be installed as the PBE server operates independently from the League of Legends live game.
When the installer has finished downloading, click Install and the client should appear on your desktop.
Click on the new software and log into your Riot account.
Before you dive in, be sure to switch to the "PBE server" using the arrow next to the "play" button.
The newest League of Legends champion, Aurora, is a rabbit-like Vastaya who wields spirit magic and an arsenal of spells that allow her to flit around the battlefield while dealing hefty damage. Though her design and abilities play into her prey-animal theme, she’s not to be taken lightly! Aurora packs a punch and can easily turn the tables on unsuspecting enemies.
For over six years, Aurora's development has been a labor of love at Riot. Initially starting as a champion idea, it splintered into concepts like Sylas, Yone, the Spirit Blossom event, and Fiddlesticks' VGU. Finally, after this long journey, Aurora herself takes center stage, bringing the spirit realm and her unique kit to the Rift.
LoL Aurora Abilities Rundown
Born into the vastayan Bryni tribe in the Freljordian village of Aamu, Aurora has the unique ability to see and traverse beyond the boundary between the spirit and material realms. Struggling to connect with her peers, Aurora found solace in the company of nearby spirits and eventually embarked on a journey across the Freljord to learn more about the spirit realm.
Unconventional and lacking formal training, Aurora spent years reverse-engineering her magic through trial and error, crafting a unique spellbook that utilizes the spirit realm for powerful spell casting.
As a solo laner and skirmisher mage, Aurora can thrive in both mid and top lanes. While she boasts a high-skill ceiling, opening the doors to blood-pumping outplays, she has a low-skill floor. Her simple spellcasting kit is extremely accessible, making her easy to pick up for new players.
Passive - Spirit Abjuration
If Aurora damages an enemy 3 times with her spells and attacks, she will deal magic damage and exorcise a spirit to her, entering Spirit Mode, gaining movement speed, and empowering her healing for 3 seconds.
For every additional spirit following Aurora, the bonuses from Spirit Mode are increased by 5%
Q - Twofold Hex
Aurora fires a blast of cursed energy in a line, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and marking them with spirit energy.
Recast: End the curse, drawing back the spirit energy to herself, dealing magic damage to enemies passed through.
If enemies are hit by multiple Q missiles on recast, they will take more damage. The goal is to tag opponents with your initial Q and then reposition yourself to maximize the number of enemies hit by the pullback!
W - Across the Veil
Offering a powerful escape and outplay tool, Aurora hops in a direction and enters the spirit realm, becoming invisible and entering Spirit Mode for several seconds.
Takedowns on enemy champions reset the cooldown of this ability
E - The Weirding
This is a straightforward line-nuke skill shot where Aurora sends out a blast of spirit magic, dealing magic damage in an area that slows enemies. Aurora will hop backward slightly on cast.
R - Between Worlds
Aurora hops forward and sends out a powerful pulse of spirit energy that deals magic damage and slows enemies, creating a transition into the spirit realm that traps enemies. In this circle, Aurora enters an empowered spirit mode that allows her to travel from one end of the area to the other.
Enemies who try to cross the threshold will take magic damage, be slowed, and be pushed back toward the center of the area.
As Riot Games’ first prey animal vastaya, Aurora presented a unique design challenge for the team: capturing the essence of a creature that thrives on agility and outsmarts their predators. “I thought a lot about how a prey animal succeeds against a predator," says game design manager Blake “Squad5” Smith, “they don’t usually overpower them; their success is usually found in trickery and eventual escape."
True to her theme, Aurora’s a highly mobile champion who excels at outmaneuvering opponents using her rabbit-like agility. Her primary tool for outplay is her W “Across the Veil," which makes her invisible and allows for quick, creative positioning in fights to set up her other abilities, like her Q2. Her ultimate leverages this mobility even more, granting her even greater control over "E" placements and "Q2" pullbacks within a zone perfect for outplays.
Aurora's development team also drew inspiration from real-world experiences. She is coded as autistic, and her gameplay and design reflect the unique strengths of neurodiversity.
Senior narrative writer Elyse “apothecarie” Lemoine explains that people on the spectrum often process information and view the world differently, and the team wanted Aurora to embody that in her kit. In that spirit, Aurora isn't the meek or submissive prey animal one might expect. She's fearless and aggressive and approaches challenges in unexpected ways, defying expectations.
Get ready to hop onto the Rift and channel the untapped power of the spirit realm with Aurora, the Witch Between Worlds, arriving on PBE on 25 June, 2024, alongside Patch 14.13!
LoL Season 14's whirlwind of balance changes continues with Patch 14.13. This update dives into core gameplay systems, revamping runes like Electrocute and Dark Harvest, and fine-tuning champion balance across roles.
The focus is on nerfing champions that use Fated Ashes items, while also sharpening the distinction between Electrocute's early burst and Dark Harvest's stacking power. AD carries will also continue to see adjustments to create a more balanced bot lane!

LoL 14.13 Early Patch Notes
Riot Phroxzon has revealed the early patch notes for Patch 14.13, which focuses on rune adjustments and champion balance changes.
Two popular Domination keystones, Electrocute and Dark Harvest, are getting reworked. Electrocute is set to become the go-to option for early burst damage champions, helping them snowball their lead, while Dark Harvest may receive a cooldown reduction to better support its "stacking fantasy" playstyle.
The Fated Ashes items themselves are deemed balanced by the dev team, but some champions like Brand and Karthus are overperforming with them. These champions will be nerfed in Patch 14.13.
Kalista and Varus have been dominating professional play. Patch 14.3 aims to make them less dominant while preserving their core build options. On-hit Varus might get buffed to compete better with the currently stronger lethality build.
Here’s a preview of which champions, runes, and items are set to receive changes in the upcoming LoL Patch 14.13 update:

Riot Games, the company best known for MOBA League of Legends, is bringing its free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter Valorant to consoles after four years of PC exclusivity. A new animated Minecraft series has been announced for Netflix.
The series was revealed as part of Minecraft's 15th year anniversary celebrations, with a short teaser trailer. This trailer shows a lone Creeper making its way onto the scene, before it explodes. The camera then pans through a blocky lava filled cavern in the Nether, before it comes to rest on Netflix's large red 'N' logo perched atop a rock. Bats fly overhead.
"This just happened," the description reads. "The best selling game of all time and the biggest streamer in the world are teaming up to bring you a brand NEW Minecraft Netflix animated series!" You can check it out for yourself below.
Four years after its initial PS4 release, Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima arrives on PC, ported by Nixxes Software. Initial impressions of the port were favourable, but having now spent around a week with the game we're able to give you a much more nuanced appraisal of the conversion, suggest some optimised settings and offer up those all-important PS5 comparisons.
This may be a new engine for Nixxes to deal with, but the overall framework of the game has much in common with its prior ports - which is generally a very positive thing. It means you get a settings menu that lets you tweak as you like, your changes reflected in the background in real-time - no restarts required! And as usual for Nixxes, there's support for dynamic resolution scaling and all major upscaling technologies, along with both FSR 3 and DLSS 3 frame generation (though the new FSR 3.1 spatial upscaling upgrades are not included). Nixxes has also liberated FSR 3 frame-gen from requiring FSR 2 spatial upscaling, which is a welcome change.
In terms of the quality of the upscalers, we see the usual hierarchy, though DLSS has some issues in this title with depth of field effects, with some off-putting jitter. This manifests itself with XeSS but to a lesser extent, while it's not a problem at all with FSR. It would be nice to see this remedied in due course.
Everyone has a sequel they’re waiting for someone to greenlight. Some of our favorite video game franchises exist in a sad state of limbo. It’s only natural that after decades of companies making games and trying to earn the most money from them, that some good titles would fall through the cracks, never to become a…
If you play League of Legends and have roughly $450 burning a hole in your pocket then rejoice, then boy does developer Riot Games have the bundles for you. The new cosmetics in question are themed to LoL esports player Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, and even in a world of ludicrous microtransactions, players…
As Minecraft turns 15 years old, we wanted to take a look back. As one of the most important (and best-selling) games of all time, Minecraft and Mojang’s journey has been incredible to witness – starting as a one-person creation and blossoming into a truly world-changing proposition.
With that in mind, we thought we’d take you back over the biggest moments in Minecraft’s history, year-by-year:
2009: Launching Classic Edition
On May 16, 2009, it all began. Inspired by the likes of Infiniminer and Dungeon Keeper, Markus ‘Notch’ Persson had begun work on what was initially known simply as “Cave Game” a week earlier, before settling on a catchier title: Minecraft: Order of the Stone. Then he was convinced to choose an even catchier title: Minecraft. What came to be known as the Java Classic Edition lacked much of what we’ve come to know from the game – but the building blocks (pun very much intended) were there.
Classic would generate a world, and allow you to dig and build freely, creating your own geometric slices of paradise in its technicolor world. Over the course of the year, Classic would split into Creative and Survival modes, ushering us closer and closer to the Minecraft we’ve known for a decade and a half.
2010: Minecraft Gets Its Crafting System – Plus Minecarts and Multiplayer
By January of 2010, Minecraft had already amassed over 100,000 players – but some of its most fundamental improvements were still to come – not least making good on that “Craft” part of the title. A crafting system was added late that month, introducing the familiar wood-iron-diamond ‘level’ system for items, and changing, well, everything about how we played the game. Dig-loot-craft-repeat was born.
But that was far from the only major change. By June, minecarts had appeared in the game, changing how players could travel through their worlds and, in August, the first version of multiplayer in Survival mode popped up. So much of Minecraft’s popularity is built on playing with your friends, and this was the first time we could see a glimpse of how huge that would be for the game.
2011: Minecraft 1.0 Released – and the First Port Arrives
If you want a sense of how fast Minecraft grew, consider this. By January of 2011, the game hit a million players. But July, that had jumped to 10 million. And, to top it all off – all of this came before the game had launched its full 1.0 version. That came on November 18, 2011. What came to be known as Minecraft: Java Edition was released during Minecon 2011, bringing everything millions of players were already loving to an even wider audience – even an “ending” to the game with the Ender Dragon boss fight.
And we can’t ignore that 2011 also saw the game’s first-ever non-PC ports. Minecraft: Pocket Edition launched exclusively for the Xperia Play smartphone in August, followed quickly by an iOS version – from these small beginnings, Minecraft would spread across practically every modern gaming device over the years, becoming the phenomenon it has been in the process.
2012: Minecraft Gets Lego-fied, Comes to Xbox 360, and Gets the Pretty Scary Update
If you wanted to pinpoint the moment where Minecraft became more than just a game, look no further than when Lego officially confirmed that Minecraft – in many ways the brick-building hobby’s digital cousin – would become an official set. Lego Minecraft Micro World allowed you to build four cubic vignettes from Minecraft in real-life, complete with Steve and Creeper mini-figs.
In the world of gaming itself, 2012 was no less important. This year marked the first meeting of Minecraft and Xbox, as Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition launched in May, offering a console version of the game to millions of new players. This console edition became the basis for Minecraft’s off-PC future – from here, we’d see the game appear on almost every new Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo console over the years.
We also saw a landmark new update: Pretty Scary brought a host of new mobs to fight off, and also brought one of the most important blocks in the game’s history – the Command Block became the basis for some of the most impressive creations in Minecraft, adding a level of programming that would allow magnificent ideas to spring forth.
2013: The Redstone Update Changes Everything and Horses Ride In
If 2012’s Command Block was the start of something special, 2013’s Redstone Update was when it got really special. Redstone, a block that allows players to power various elements of the game, had already been introduced, but this update opened up a host of new opportunities. Redstone could now be used to power pressure plates, change how rail blocks worked, detect daylight and much, much more. From here, players began to experiment with how far Redstone could take their creations – all the way up to creating working 8-bit computers inside the game.
On the less complicated side of things, we also got the Horse Update, which changed the game in a more adorable way, allowing you to tame and ride the majestic, blocky beasts and travel your world in a new way. Notably, this was a major moment for how Mojang worked with its community – the Horse Update was inspired by a mod, Mo’ Creatures, and shows how the game has been worked on with the fans themselves (many of whom went onto be Mojang developers, too).
2014: Microsoft Acquires Mojang and The Bountiful Update Blooms
I might not even be writing this article if it weren’t for 2014 – when Microsoft saw quite how earth-shaking Minecraft had become and acquired Mojang for $2.5 billion. After two years of working closely together, the two companies came together to shape the future of the game, which has only continued to grow in the decade since.
In the game itself, the Bountiful Update represented an enormous improvement. Built over a full 10 months, Bountiful saw massive changes to the codebase of the game, invisibly improving everything about the experience – but it also brought floating islands, underwater temples, killer rabbits, and much more.
2015: Minecon Breaks Records, and the HoloLens Demo Wows
Since humble beginnings in 2010, Minecon had been bringing fans of Minecraft together to celebrate the game – and had subsequently become the home of some of the game’s biggest releases. Come this year, it had become a truly enormous affair – record-breaking, even. Held in London, Minecon 2015 sold 10,000 tickets, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest convention in history for a single game.
2015 also saw Mojang showing just how creative it could get with its ideas – the Minecraft HoloLens demo became one of the most talked-about E3 presentations of recent years. The mixed-reality headset could effectively create parts of a Minecraft world amid the real world around you, offering a perspective on the game no one could have imagined. While it never became a full product, it’s a brilliant evocation of how restlessly creative Mojang is with its game.
2016: Hitting 100 Million Sales, and Minecraft: Education Edition Launches
There was no doubt that Minecraft was already a worldwide concern, but 2016 saw its biggest cultural landmark yet – passing 100 million copies sold. In 2016, 53,000 people were buying Minecraft every day – and four copies were even sold in Antarctica. The game has now passed triple that number, but it was here that Minecraft truly set out its stall as one of the most-loved, most important games of all time.
Its influence was so strong, in fact, that 2016 also saw the launch of Minecraft: Education Edition (now simply Minecraft Education). Developed alongside Xbox Game Studios, this version of the game was designed to be used in the classroom, and has allowed kids to build collaboratively, learn from educators inside the game itself, and been updated to include worlds that help learning on Cyber Safety, natural history, and much, much more.
2017: The Better Together Update Unites Players, Minecraft Marketplace Empowers Them
For years, players had been able to get Minecraft on their consoles, but 2017’s Better Together helped make that all the more significant. This was the moment that Mojang began to bring platforms together, allowing anyone with the Bedrock Edition of the game to play together, no matter what device they were playing on. It was a gigantic step, and a true piece of Minecraft magic.
In the same year, Mojang doubled down on its commitment to its community with Minecraft Marketplace – a store that sells curated creator-made skins, texture packs, and maps. Effectively, it offered modders – a huge part of Minecraft’s success over the years – to make money from their creations, and opened the door to literally millions of more people to access their hard work.
2018: Update Aquatic Opens Up New Worlds
70% of Earth is covered with water, and while that ratio may differ in your Minecraft world, that’s still a lot of space you might otherwise not see. Not so after Update Aquatic – the biggest update to Minecraft’s oceans saw new mobs, blocks, and mysteries added to the game’s underwater realms.
From dolphins and turtles to the only-slightly-horrifying Drowned enemies, there was a lot to play with under the sea, not to mention buried treasure, shipwrecks, and reefs to explore.
2019: 10 Years of Minecraft, and the Village & Pillage Update Storms In
A decade is a very long time in gaming, but it was just the start for Minecraft. The 10-year anniversary of the game went hard, not least with a beautiful map that acted as an interactive museum about the game itself – and a re-release of the Classic Edition of the game to show you just how far the game had come.
Looking forward, we also saw the Village & Pillage update, which populated your world in new ways. Revamped villages (and their villagers) now sprung up across the biomes, offering trading, jobs, and more ways to interact. But to combat all this loveliness, we also saw the addition of Pillagers, a new faction of bandit mobs who’d roam the map looking to spoil your good time. Also, pandas were added, which is only ever a good thing.
2020: Nether Update Takes Us Deeper Underground, and Minecraft Dungeons Arrives
The Nether had long been an object of fascination and terror for Minecraft players, offering a whole other dimension to the game. But the Nether Update changed this world of danger forever, adding new biomes and mobs that turned it from a curious, dangerous place into a true realm to explore in itself.
Meanwhile, Mojang also saw fit to release the biggest Minecraft spin-off yet – Minecraft Dungeons twisted the original game’s basics into an all-new action experience. In partnership with Double Eleven, this game offers a new story-driven approach to the Minecraft universe, transforming familiar items, mobs, and blocks into dungeon crawling essentials.
2021: Minecraft Passes 1 Trillion Views on YouTube, While Caves and Cliffs Emerges
YouTube has been an incredibly important part of Minecraft’s history, with creators across the globe enjoying and sharing the game, and becoming famous in their own right as a result. If you want a sense of quite how intertwined the two became, Minecraft became the first entertainment franchise to break through the 1 trillion views mark on YouTube. As YouTube itself put it: “If each of those one trillion views were just one second long, that would add up to over 30,000 years.” Please, take it from me, don’t try and catch up on all of it.
Inside the game, we saw an update so massive it had to be split into two parts. Caves & Cliffs was the most ambitious update Mojang had ever put together to this point, not only adding the expected new mobs, items, and blocks, but adding entire new biomes and overhauling how Minecraft worlds themselves were generated.
2022: New Default Skins Added and The Wild Update Bursts Forth
Skin-swapping had been easy for a long time, but good old default skins Steve and Alex were probably a little lonely come 2022. Enter Noor, Sunny, Ari, Zuri, Makena, Kai, and Efe – new default skins that let players express themselves more easily than ever while jumping into their world.
Meanwhile, the Wild Update included even more new biomes on top of 2021’s Caves & Cliffs, including the Deep Dark, a biome only found underground, replete with ancient cities to discover, and the terrifying, blind Warden enemy. Also: frogs!
2023: Minecraft Legends Offers Another New Adventure, and Trails & Tales Launches
Minecraft Dungeons was only the start. Last year, Minecraft Legends arrived to offer another new look at how Minecraft could be adapted. This action strategy game zoomed way out to offer you a bird’s eye view of the Overworld – and an army of mobs to help you protect it from Piglin hordes.
In Minecraft itself, the Trails & Tales update offered new means of self-expression in your world, not to mention added new stories underground with the addition of archeology in desert biomes. Count yourself lucky if you find the new, rare Cherry Blossom biome – and maybe find your way there on the new camel mob, which has space for you and a friend on its back.
2024: Looking to the Future
And so we reach 2024, asMinecraftturns 15. You might think Mojang might want a bit of a break, but not so – they’ve already released the Armored Paws drop, and announced a massive birthday sale, but there’s so much more still to come. From the upcoming Tricky Trials update to secrets yet to be revealed, this 15th year is, somehow, only the beginning.

Riot Games will be launching a fiery set of LoL Infernal Skins in 2024, alongside Patch 14.11. Patch 14.10 has arrived, bringing a host of mid-season updates to the game such as modifications to the rune system, adjustments to items, and the introduction of new items.
The Infernal skin line reimagines champions as harbingers of fire, set in a world transformed into a land of ashes, cinders, and fire by the Ashen Lord and his Infernal legions.
Which LoL Champions Will Receive Infernal Skins in 2024?
The official League of Legends Leaks & News X account recently unveiled the Infernal skins for this year. Here are all the champions set to receive Infernal skins in 2024:
Infernal Karma
Infernal Olaf
Infernal Ashe
Nevertheless, a Riot developer has issued a statement alluding to the possibility of additional skins being released. The mention of a bird in the statement implies that Anivia or Azir may also be receiving an Infernal skin.
Furthermore, the teaser involving a "bird" could potentially indicate that Xayah, Rakan, or Quinn might also be getting the skin.
LoL Infernal Skins 2024 Price
The forthcoming Infernal skins are anticipated to be categorized as Epic skins. This indicates that you can anticipate obtaining them for the regular Epic Skin price of 1350 RP in the League of Legends client's Skin Store once they are released.
LoL Infernal Skins 2024 Skins Release Date
Patch 14.10 has recently been released on the servers, and fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Infernal skins with Patch 14.11, set to be launched on May 30, 2024, per the official LoL patch schedule.
In 2024, Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends are once again commemorating Pride Month. Let's take a glimpse at the various pride cosmetics that are up for grabs and learn how to obtain them.
The annual Pride event is set to make a comeback on Summoner's Rift and the Convergence, accompanied by fresh cosmetics such as emotes, booms, and summoner icons. There is an abundance of items to collect while rejoicing in this year's celebration.
LoL 2024 Pride Cosmetics and How to Get Them
LoL will be reintroducing old emotes from previous years and debuting a new emote showcasing Neeko and Twisted Fate. To obtain the new emote, players simply need to participate in games as a premade group.
This event will commence on Patch 14.11, and participants will have until 26 June 2024, or the end of Patch 14.12, to fulfill the requirements of this quest.
In the same vein, you have the opportunity to acquire any of the previous Pride emotes from the store by spending just one Blue Essence, making them a convenient choice.
Additionally, the Pride Summoner Icons will be available for purchase, each offering a unique homeguard animation based on the one you currently have equipped. These icons can be bought individually or as a bundle for the price of one Blue Essence.
TFT 2024 Pride Cosmetics and How to Get Them
Similar to its MOBA counterpart, Teamfight Tactics is also commemorating Pride Month this year. Nevertheless, unlike League, TFT's Pride event will be limited to just one patch, as the developers have a fresh event scheduled for Patch 14.12.
Consequently, you will have until 11 June 2024 to acquire any necessary items or rewards.
Teamfight Tactics (TFT) introduces three fresh missions that will unlock past Pride content and introduce a new adorable emote to the collection. By equipping the latest High Five emote and utilizing it during a match, players can earn 25 Star Shards along with Pride booms from previous seasons.
Additionally, using a Pride boom in a match will also reward players with 25 Star Shards and the Dip K’sante Emote.
Pride Trails will also be reintroduced this year, but they will now be linked to the boom you currently have equipped. This adjustment aims to cater to mobile players, who previously did not have the option to select a summoner icon.
League of Legends is constantly and routinely updated, with significant balance changes hitting live servers roughly every two weeks. On top of the regular schedule of updates came the end of the first split of the season and the launch of the second split, which brought more changes than ever before, including new and altered existing items, champion updates, and changes to the game's bounty system. Riot Games has released a follow-up micro patch for 14.10, which snuck in a significant change to a beloved champion nobody saw coming.
League of Legends developer Riot Games has dropped some absolutely massive changes to the famed MOBA over the last few weeks. The mid-season patch 14.10 update introduced a boatload of gameplay changes, including summoner spell alterations, new items, changed existing items, and so much more. While some champions were given a fresh feel with this update, others, like OG top-laner Singed, have been wholly nerfed into the ground, and mains of the Mad Scientist are demanding action from LoL's gameplay developers.

Respawn has dropped a new teaser for the next season of its free-to-play battle royale, Apex Legends.
The trailer shows off what to expect when season 21, Upheaval, drops next week, and gets us up close and personal with "the embodiment of disruption", new Legend Alter. You can check out the action for yourself in the trailer embedded below:
Apex Legends: Upheaval releases on Tuesday 7th May, 2024 and is the 21st season of the ever-evolving battle royale. Alongside the arrival of the first villainous Legend to hit the games since Revenant in 2020, there are plenty of new and returning additions that promise to turn this season on its head including a revamped Broken Moon and Solos mode returning for a limited run.
First things first, let's talk about the big addition - a Legend called Alter joining the Apex games at the launch of Upheaval. Alter is a dimensional traveller of the Skirmisher class and the first villain we've seen in a long time. Alter is from another dimension, though which one she's from is a mystery for now (she's not a reliable narrator). If she tells you something, chances are it's been altered to suit her needs at that very moment - though there are a few shreds of truth in some things that come out of her mouth if you pay close attention.
Alter's Passive ability 'Gift from the Rift' lets you see deathboxes through walls and take a single item from them. Her Tactical is 'Void Passage' which allows you to make bridging portals through surfaces that your squad can also use. Finally, her Ultimate is 'Void Nexus' where Alter puts a device down that allows you and your team to phase back to that point while the device is still active. Be wary of this one, enemies can also make use of it too.
Apex Legends vs Fortnite. Which one is more popular and better? This question can arise in your mind. But, without proper analysis, it’s not possible to answer.
Both of these games are known for their amazing multiplayer experience. But that’s not the complete story. We have looked far deeper than you can imagine and found many surprising facts.
In this analytical article, you will learn about fantastic stats, facts, and graphics that will satisfy your curiosity.
Note: We’re excited to share an excellent article comparing Apex Legends and Fortnite. Our dedicated writer spent an incredible 10 hours crafting this outstanding research piece. The extensive research and knowledge poured into this exceptional article will captivate you.
Apex Legends vs. Fortnite: A complete overview of Popularity
Before we dive deeper, we should have some idea about the nature of these two games:
System requirements
Both of these games have apparent system requirements that give us a clear idea about the optimization level of these titles.
Here are the system requirements for Apex Legends:
Processor: Core i3 6th Gen/AMD FX-4350 or Better
RAM: 6GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640/Radeon HD 7730
Disk Space: 22 GB+
Operating System: Windows 7 or higher
After knowing the required specifications, you can see that a PC with basic hardware can run Apex Legends without any problem. Even the obsolete Windows 7 OS is also compatible. Though we don’t know for how long Windows 7 support will exist.
Looking at Fortnite, we can see that this game is also compatible with PCs with basic hardware. Here are the system requirements for Fortnite:
Processor: Core i3 3rd Gen
RAM: 8GB
Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000 on PC/AMD Radeon Vega 8
Disk Space: Not specified, but maybe around 40 GB
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit or Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6
Unlike Apex Legends, Fortnite doesn’t run on Windows 7. Also, it needs more disk space. But AL needs at least 6th gen Intel core i3 processor, whereas Fortnite can be played using the older i3 3rd gen processor. In fact, gamers can play both of these titles on very basic computers with minimum GPU power.
Gameplay Mechanics
Although both of these titles have many similarities, some key differences have made them unique from each other.
Apex Legends is a First-Person shooter game, while Fortnite is Third-Person. This characteristic has created many more contrasts, particularly in the shooting, movement, and overall game mechanics.
Fortnite has a built-in defense against enemy shootings. But, in the AL, the player needs to be more skillful to protect themself from enemy shooters.
The movement mechanics in Fortnite is very basic. You can easily move and play. However, in Apex Legends, a gamer must be an expert and do more to move and fight.
Both of these titles with cross-platform play capacity. Also, these two are getting regular updates which improve the stability and add new features to the game.
Now, at this point, AL and Fortnite are not the same compared to the time when these were released.
Total number of gamers
Currently, Apex Legends have a total of approximately 136 million registered accounts and 114,580,698+ active players. On the other hand, Fortnite holds an estimated around 550 million registered accounts and 234,546,282+ active gamers. We have tagged a gamer active if he/she has played the game within the last 30 days.
We may not get the whole story after seeing the active players. So, we have made some very specific statistics that represent the changes in the number of total players over the years in different ways.
Total number of registered gamers over the last 4 years:
Here are the data of total registered player accounts in Million since 2019:

For your convenience, we have featured a graph that gives you a clear view of the total number of players in millions on both Apex Legends and Fortnite.
The number in the above graph represents the total number of registered players in both games. This statistic may not be 100% accurate as no precise data is available on the official sources. So, based on the many unofficial sources and our analysis, we have estimated these numbers.
The latest data is not precisely available on any recognizable forums or sources. So, we have made our estimation for 2023’s data in some cases.
In the following graph, you can see the number of active players over the years in every month. It shows the trend of the popularity of Fortnite and Apex Legends.
The above graph is clearly showing that Apex Legends is slowly gaining popularity. On the other hand, Fortnite is losing its place even though it’s still the most popular battle royal game and far ahead of AL.
However, to understand the scene from an even closer position, you should look at the other factors featured in the next parts of this post.
Peak players by year:
We may see different data if we look at the number of players who are active in the peak hour.
Year
Apex Legends
Fortnite
2020

2023

71,906,471
The following smooth line graph shows the trend of active peak players over the last three years. However, we can exclude the 2023 part, as it’s the middle of the year.
The above statistic clearly shows that if we exclude 2023, the number of active peak players of Apex Legends’ is increasing. But the opposite is happening for Fortnite.
This information is based on the data available on ActivePlayer.IO. We have used data till April 2023.
Average time spent by players:
There is no exact data available about the average time spent by players on both of these games. However, according to various unofficial sources, on average, for both Apex Legends and Fortnite, gamers spent a few hours a week on these games.
In Fortnite, most of the active players spend 6-10 hours a week; on Apex Legends, it’s around 7 or 8 hours.
Platform preferences:
Both Fortnite and Apex Legends are available on mobile, PC, and console. If we look at Fortnite, we can see that 69% of players play it on Console, which includes both Xbox and PlayStation. The PS is the most popular platform for this title, with around 40% of gamers. 46% of the players play on smartphones, and 28% play on PC.
This percentage seems wrong to you. It is because some players play this title on both PC and Console or even all of these three platforms.
Apex Legends’ player count per device has not yet been released by any official or unofficial channel. So, we are unable to give you an insight.
Geographical distribution for Apex Legends and Fortnite:
Undoubtedly, these two games are very popular around the world. In the USA, Apex Legends has 38.92% of its total number of players; for Fortnite, it’s 21.63%. We have also collected the percentage of other mentionable countries as well.

Demographical distribution for Apex Legends and Fortnite:
62.7% of Fortnite players are young. They belong to the 18-24 years age group. The 25-34 years age group’s percentage is 22.5, and the 35-44 is 12.7.
On the other hand, Apex Legends doesn’t have this many statistics available. However, according to various sources, most of the players are below 18. The 18-34 age group has a significant number of players.
The Apex Legends also don’t have any clear statistics on player count based on gender. But, it is indeed a male dominant FPS multiplayer where a significant number of gamers are also female.
In Fortnite, 72.4% are male players, and 27.6% are female.

According to The Verge, Fortnite made $9 billion in revenue in its first two years, which is much higher than Apex’s 2 Billion in the first three years. During that period, Battle Royal games experienced a sudden spike in popularity which is also a factor.
Most popular skin and character
Two of these Battle Royal games have a wide range of choices when it’s skin and characters. If we look at the Apex Legends, Pathfinder, Octane, Wraith, Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Ballistic, are the most picked characters.
On the other hand, if we look at Fortnite, The Foundation, Jonesy, The Visitor, Leviathan, Midas, The Reaper Fortnite Skin, Drift, etc., are very popular.

Average Time-to-Kill (TTK) and Time-to-Survive (TTS)
Determining the average TTK and TTS for these two games is tricky, as these depend on several factors.
For Apex Legends, killing a player with 200 HP health takes 2.7 seconds on average and 2.4 seconds for 175 HP. For Fortnite, no such information is available right now.
If we look at the Time-to-Survive data on Apex Legends, it may vary from player to player. Generally, a player’s survival time can be from a few seconds to several minutes. Fortnite is from a few to 20+ minutes, depending on many things.
Factors that work behind the Popularity
Apex Legends:
We will find some interesting facts behind the scene of Apex Legends’ popularity. These are:
Surprise release and announcement: Apex Legends was launched suddenly and surprised everyone. At that time, Fortnite and some other battle royal games were going through prime time. Apex Legends was a new addition with many unique and different features. That attracted young gamers. As a result, it gained a large player base within a few weeks of its release.
Influencer partnerships: EA has partnered with many influencers and streamers for Apex Legends. This battle royal game was a very attractive choice for their many followers.
Free-to-play model: Since Apex Legends was launched as a free-to-play game, anyone could test this title. Therefore, this title got a considerable player base within a short time.
Other factors: Else, active social media presence, developer responsiveness to the players’ feedback, in-game rewards, and the amazing gameplay mechanisms developed by Respawn Entertainment hugely contributed to Apex Legends’ popularity.
Fortnite:
Like Apex Legends, Fortnite also got the advantage of being a free-to-play game. Apart from this, the following factors also have a significant role in its popularity:
Early access and beta testing: The Fortnite beta was released before releasing the full version. That created hype among battle-royale lovers.
Celebrity endorsements: To gain more player base, Epic Games have made deals with several mentionable celebrities like DJ Marshmello, Keanu Charles, Travis Scott, and many other people. Often we saw that gamers were playing Fortnite with celebrity skins and faces.
In-game events and collaborations: Fortnite held many in-game events and collaborated with many popular franchises, including Marvel, DC, Star Wars, John Wick, etc., to bring their skins, themes, and characters into the game.
Community Engagement: Epic Games’ engagement with the Fortnite community effectively increased player engagement.
Cross-platform: One of the coolest things is Fortnite is available on multiple platforms, and gamers can have a cross-play facility, which also has increased its popularity.
Else, cultural impact and social media integration, in-game challenges, community-created content, etc., have made a huge impact on Fortnite’s popularity.
Fortnite has made a huge contribution to the increasing battle royal game in the industry. Apex Legends is not too far. While Epic Games is still enjoying the benefits of owning the most popular battle royal title even in 2023, EA is making its strategy to make its title more attractive and unique.
We may see many interesting changes in the upcoming years when we compare Apex Legends vs Fortnite. But, the truth is Fortnite is still the most played and popular battle royal title in the industry.
The already controversial decision to add the anti-cheat tool used in shooter Valorant to League of Legends has seemingly caused developers Riot Games even more of a headache. The studio have issued a lengthy assurance that - at least as far as they know - the new anti-cheat software isn’t causing players’ hardware to end up bricked, despite various reports of major issues after its introduction.
Things are about to get seriously chaotic in the newest season of Apex Legends. Starting May 7 Upheaval lives up to its name with plenty of new content and changes that’ll keep even the most seasoned Legends on their toes. Ready to find out what’s coming soon to the Apex Games? Just keep reading.
Embrace chaos
“Life’s just a game and lucky you, you’re playing it with me.”
Things are really heating up this season, and new Legend Alter is striking the match. There’s very little known about this new Void tech user except that calamity seems to follow in her wake. Is she the cause or simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? No one can say. But she does seem to take real joy in watching catastrophes unfold, and reveling in what chaos brings out in those around her. While her morality may be in question, her abilities definitely aren’t:
Gift from the Rift – Can remotely interact with a deathbox to claim one item. Cannot be armor.
Void Passage – Creates a portal passageway through a surface.
Void Nexus – Create a regroup point that all allies can remotely interact with to open a phase tunnel back to that location.
What brings the mysterious Alter to the Apex Games? No one can really say. But one thing’s for sure, when she’s around life is never boring.
Stand alone in Solos
Duos is out as Solos Takeover makes its much-anticipated return at the beginning of the season. This fan-favorite is back with enough new mechanics to keep things very interesting. It’s every Legend for themselves, which means no one will be watching your back – so you’ll need to rely on your Battle Sense to detect nearby enemies. Pre-kitted weapons and attachments will help you stay one step ahead of the competition, while Second Chance auto-heal will keep you in fighting shape long enough to come out on top. Drop into Solos Takeover starting May 7.
Broken Moon shatters
A lunar nightmare becomes reality as Olympus appears to crash into Cleo’s Stasis Array Node, reshaping the battlefield with new POIs and a streamlined map (including new rotations and revamped zip rails ripe for spreading havoc). Debris from the crash as well as meteor strikes and what some are calling unknown biological material have led to a lockdown and quarantine in what was the Promenade. Welcome instead to the Quarantine Zone.
If you’re looking for intense close-quarters action and fast-paced looting, this is where you’ll find it.
Breaker Wharf has shifted to where the Backup Atmostation was originally, and that’s not the only change you’ll have to look forward to. Raining debris has changed up the topography as well as playstyle options – upping the pandemonium potential. Space Port’s move should provide some choice loot opportunities, while Cliff Side offers up an interesting layout primed for intense tug-of-war battles between the high and low grounds. The new Lunar buildings of Solar Pods should keep things moving as well as offer up new combat experiences.
Need a moment to catch your breath? Underpass should give your team the breathing space you need to get back in the game. And Experimental Labs is a great spot for anyone looking for a little high-risk, high-reward action. Finally, new rotations round out the fun offering you a variety of opportunities to make life a little more difficult for opposing squads.
Chaos is coming
There’s even more on the way during Apex Legends: Upheaval, including the opportunity to slice in style with customizable Apex Artifacts, leaving your unique signature of destruction. Then corrupt your style with the Upheaval Battle Pass, unlocking 100+ rewards including Exotic Shards.
It’s a new world, Legend – get ready to disturb the peace.

The fan-favorite game mode, Arena, has just returned to LoL, and is already set for some massive changes in the upcoming Patch 14.10!
After being available for a full patch cycle, Riot has identified the major issues and is prepared to make necessary adjustments. Lead Gameplay Designer has shed light on the major challenges that Riot will address in LoL Patch 14.10 on Arena.
All Arena Changes in LoL Patch 14.10
RNG Experience Changes — Prismatic Anvils
The inclusion of Prismatic Anvils in this iteration of the Arena was intended to introduce an element of unpredictability into the game mode, guaranteeing a unique and fresh experience with every match. However, their introduction seems to have resulted in an excessive level of randomness.
Riot will be making adjustments to the Anvils in the next patch to make sure that players have a better chance of success. Phroxzon stated that the goal of the balance team is for the ideal prismatic to be challenging to achieve, without pushing players towards AP Darius if they fail.
Jhin Adjustments
Riot is planning to implement certain modifications to Jhin, who has garnered significant attention as one of the most discussed champions following the introduction of Arena in LoL Patch 14.9. The upcoming LoL Arena patch will see adjustments in terms of his missile speed and spawn location.
Riot will be decreasing his missile speed by 25% and adjusting spawn location to ensure a more equitable playing field for the opposing teams.
Time Before Revive
The player revival time has been modified in the upcoming patch, extending from 11-8 seconds to 12-8 seconds. Current statistics indicate that reviving a teammate is too effortless, prompting Riot to implement these adjustments.
Arena God Games Required
Arena also offers a variety of distinctive Challenges that allow you to customize your League of Legends profile and banner with a title. However, it appears that the Arena God challenge was excessively difficult to achieve, prompting Riot to adjust the requirements to make it a more attainable goal.
Players who achieve 60 first-place finishes will have the opportunity to acquire the title and showcase it on their profile. Phroxzon disclosed that up to this point, only 160 players have managed to secure over 20 first-place finishes. In order to make the Challenge more attainable for players, they have decided to reduce the number of required first-place finishes from 168 to 60.
Ranked Reset For LoL Patch 14.10
The second ranked split for Season 14 is set to begin with the release of LoL Patch 14.10. Alongside this, the ranked Arena split will also begin. Higher Elo players can expect a soft reset from their previous rank in other Arena modes, aiming to improve matchmaking for newcomers.
In addition, various adjustments will be made to the balance of specific champions, augments, and items. Furthermore, Riot will provide teams with hats during the later stages of the game, as teams are allocating their resources towards juices and anvils rather than hats.
Riot will be closely monitoring the Koi Pond map and making slight adjustments by adding new blast cone placements. However, they have no plans to remove the map from the pool at the moment. The team still intends to gather data on it.
This LoL Midseason update is also set to bring sweeping changes to core gameplay systems. If you're interested in learning more, here's a comprehensive rundown of all the upcoming new, reworked, and removed items and runes!
Are you itching for a new look for your main but holding out for the perfect deal? Your patience is about to pay off as the LoL Your Shop event has made its triumphant return, offering players the opportunity to snag coveted skins at discounted prices!
Although luck plays a role, don’t worry about ending up with a skin that's completely unrelated to your champion pool. The event takes into account your most frequently played champions, making sure that you have a chance to show off your skills with flair – all without breaking the bank!
LoL Your Shop is Now Open
LoL's Your Shop is a beloved periodic sale featuring champion skins at reduced prices, and it has just received its second run in 2024, on May 9. Offers are set to expire on June 5, 2024.
In this event, each player is offered six discounted skins (ranging from 20 to 70 percent), tailored specifically to them. Your Shop uses your in-game history over the past 6 months to curate these deals, prioritizing champions you play most. So there’s a high chance that you’ll be able to obtain a skin you’ve been eyeing at a discounted price!
How to Access Your Shop in LoL?
Look for the Your Shop tab in the LoL client. It's located at the top menu, with an icon shaped like cards, next to your Blue Essence and Riot Points. Click on it to reveal six cards, each hiding a discounted skin. Simply click on a card to reveal the offer underneath!
The listed price includes both the skin and the champion (if not already owned). Should the champion be part of the offer, its icon will be displayed on top of the skin. You can purchase the champion separately, which will then reduce the overall price.
What Skins Won’t Be Included In Your Shop?
While Your Shop offers fantastic deals, there are a few exceptions. Here's what you won't find:
Legendary Skins (Note: An in-game event may offer the chance to acquire a Legendary Skin in Your Shop, but this isn't typical. No Legendary Skins will be featured this time around.)
Ultimate Skins
Champions or skins released within 90 days of Your Shop's start time.
Limited Skins
Loot Exclusive Skins
Currently discounted skins
Skins not purchasable with RP (bundle exclusives, Victorious skins, Prestige skins, etc.)
When is the Next Your Shop?
While Riot hasn't set a fixed schedule, Your Shop has typically appeared five times a year since 2020. Players can expect it to return in July this year, following past trends (February, April/May, July, September, December).
This covers everything you need to know about LoL's Your Shop. With its personalized discounts and element of surprise, this event adds a fun layer of excitement to your LoL experience, so don’t miss out!

In a recent announcement by Live Pod Design Lead David "Phreak" Turley, the upcoming LoL Patch 14.10 update will bring a much-needed rework to the beloved old-timer, Corki!
The Daring Bombardierhas experienced fluctuations in his presence within the LoL meta, bouncing between the mid and bot lanes. Riot Games intends to revamp his kit to reposition him primarily in the bot lane, introducing significant changes to his abilities.
All Corki Changes in LoL Patch 14.10
Corki's mid-scope update promises to transform him into a short-range aggressive champion who relies heavily on cooperation and teamwork to excel. Emphasizing basic attacks over abilities will result in players being rewarded more readily, especially in the early phases of a game.
For instance, by continuously auto-attacking enemies, Corki's missiles can be replenished, creating an incentive for shorter duels. Riot also aims to encourage players to equip Corki with regular auto-attack AD items, as his kit now favors this playstyle more than his previous AP-heavy approach.
The existing plans may undergo alterations prior to the launch of Patch 14.10 on May 15. Here are the initial adjustments made to Corki's kit, with updates to follow as more information is provided by the developers.
Passive – Hextech Munitions
The Package is being removed from his kit
Will deal 15 percent bonus true damage, including Sheen
Q – Phosphorus Bomb
10 percent missile speed increase
AD ratio buffed for ranks four and five
Cooldown is changed
Mana cost buffed
W – Valkyrie
Damage profile being rescripted and buffed
Particle VFX updates

R – Missile Barrage

You’ll get ammo refunds off of auto-attacks on enemy champions
Ammo rate and max stacks are being nerfed
Mana cost nerfed
R will now deal physical damage; the total AD ratio is being changed to the bonus AD ratio
Bonus AD no longer scales on your rank

Arena has made its grand return in League of Legends, and looking at current trends, here are the top 5 best champions to play in Patch 14.9! This game mode features four pairs of players competing against each other on a variety of new maps.
In this iteration, both new and returning players will enjoy Arena with fresh champion items, hexgates, revival mechanics, and augments, ensuring that the 2v2v2v2 game mode feels more exciting than ever before.
Top 5 Best Champions for Arena in LoL 14.9
Shaco
Shaco mains have found great success with the AP assassin in Arena's tighter maps. The Demon Jester's kit allows for impactful trades and the ability to eliminate vulnerable foes. His Q serves as a strong engagement tool, while his ultimate offers peel and disruption in crucial team fights.
With Augments like Contract Killer enhancing his abilities, Shaco excels at isolating opponents and remains a top pick in Arena. Recent buffs to his AD ratio, Q damage, and cooldown reductions further solidify his position as a formidable champion.
Aatrox
Aatrox instills fear in the hearts of his enemies, serving as a self-sufficient, crowd-controlling tank who ranks among the top bruisers in the game.
Possessing sufficient mobility to pursue weakened foes and offering essential crowd control, the Darkin Blade stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking a secure (albeit requiring high skill) pick in the Arena.
Currently, Aatrox remains a prominent figure on our list due to the recent percentage healing enhancements on his ultimate and E skill, rendering the Darkin Blade an exceptionally powerful selection for Arena battles.
Mordekaiser
Mordekaiser's adaptability in building and high AP in the late game make him an exceptional choice for the Arena. Additionally, his tankiness as the Iron Revenant and his ultimate ability "Realm of Death" allow him to effectively isolate a weakened opponent in a 2v2 situation.
Furthermore, his E ability can be used to protect your vulnerable teammate while you become an even greater threat. In terms of scaling, Mordekaiser would have been the most difficult champion to defeat if it weren't for the strongest Arena champion on this list.
The Augments "Willing Sacrifice" and "I'm the Juggernaut" are particularly excellent choices for enhancing Mordekaiser's performance in the late game.
Sett
Sett holds a prominent position on our ranking due to his exceptional bruiser abilities. As a self-reliant top-laner, he possesses ample shielding to endure the early stages of the game, rendering him a formidable opponent even in his most vulnerable state.
Nevertheless, teams equipped with significant true damage capabilities can swiftly neutralize Sett when his speed enhancement is unavailable. To optimize Sett's performance, it is recommended to select the Augments "Dawnbringer's Resolve," "Celestial Body," and "Perseverance."
Akali
Akali's significant enhancements to her HP growth per level and total damage on Q make her an excellent choice for executing intelligent strategies in the Arena minimaps.
Her skill set encompasses all the necessary tools to transform into a formidable assassin, including a smoke ability that renders her untargetable, exceptional mobility, and a long-distance dash that swiftly eliminates adversaries before they can even react.
Whenever the opportunity arises, equip yourself with "The Brutalizer" and "Contract Killer" augments to fully unleash Akali's deadly persona in the Arena.
Arena provides a refreshing change for veteran League of Legends players who have primarily been engaged in the traditional 5v5 format. The cherished Riot MOBA has experienced a lack of diversity in its game offerings, with the prominent ones being Teamfight Tactics and the Ultra Rapid Fire (URF), a game mode that was initially introduced in 2014.
