15 minutes of Astro Bot has once again leaked online, giving us a premature peek at what to expect when the game releases on 6th September.
In news unlikely to surprise you, the video has already been removed from YouTube (although you can still find copies of it if you're prepared to go looking), but eagle-eyed fans nonetheless managed to get a peek at the main hub, as well as a sneaky glimpse at some of the bots we can expect.
If you'd prefer to keep everything a surprise, head back to the main page now. For those excited and happy for a little head's up, read on…
Intel’s next-gen chips are set to launch in a little over a month and while Intel, like most chip makers these days, is playing up the AI capabilities of its upcoming Lunar Lake processors, I’m much more interested to see if the chips live up to Intel’s promises that we can expect up to a […]
A noted Nintendo leaker has locked down their social media account after it emerged much of their information comes from information pre-seeded on Nintendo's web backend.
As reported by Bloomberg (via VGC), although prominent leaker Pyoro said they were "unsure how" their Nintendo of Japan insider "obtained their information", Pyoro said, "backend theory is a reasonable guess", suggesting either they or their source works on Nintendo's website.
Since then, Pyoro – who was unusually taciturn about the recent Nintendo Direct, incorrectly stating that they didn't expect much to be shown – has locked down their X account after Bloomberg reported on them, speculating how they obtained their insider information.
An unannounced Helldivers 2 stratagem has leaked online, seemingly by a Sony email.
The unforced error – which came via an official marketing email sent out to Helldivers – proudly introduces the Airburst Rocket Launcher players unlocked after they successfully liberated Penta during Operation Legitimate Undertaking.
There's just one problem; the weapon in the image that accompanies the email isn't the Airburst… or, indeed, any weapon currently in the game. It's a gun no Helldiver has seen before.
Slitterhead will release on 8th November 2024 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, according to a leaked gameplay trailer.
The two-minute teaser - which has since been pulled (but not before someone managed to download and re-share it, of course; you don't have to look very hard to it) - shows a mysterious, supernatural parasite jumping from host to host across a neon-soaked city.
It's likely the trailer leaked ahead of a formal reveal of Bokeh Game Studio's inaugural offering at this evening's Summer Game Fest 2024 presentation.
Apple kicked off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) today with a keynote where the company laid out some of the new features coming to Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and the Apple Vision Pro headset. Leading up to the event, there was a lot of buzz about Apple’s first big foray into the AI […]
"Resident Evil 9: Revenant Shadows is the latest instalment in the iconic survival horror series by Capcom," the store description says, without actually telling us anything meaningful about the game, suggesting it's just placeholder text.
UPDATE 31/5/24: Bungie has released a statement after "a portion" of Destiny 2's The Final Shape expansion was "accidentally pushed live" on PS5's streaming service.
The studio acknowledged spoilers were being shared online, and that a "small group of players" were able to access the campaign, Collections, Echoes, and "other reward info".
Consequently, the team advises players who don't want the experience spoiled to "be very careful" on social media in the lead up to The Final Shape's release next week, and asks those who have seen the spoilers to "please be considerate of others".
2K is rumoured to have secured the official FIFA license to develop the next FIFA game.
That's according to unverified claims from retailer @mohplay_inc_, which alleges that "the partnership is confirmed, and 2K will be developing a new football game series", albeit without sharing their source.
Whilst not confirmed in any official capacity at all – which means we can only take this news has a hefty rumour for now – it does back up prior claims from earlier this year that 2K and FIFA may have been in talks for the former to succeed development of the FIFA series after EA announced it would be taking its football franchise forward without FIFA branding.
Did I ever tell you about the time I was smuggling pears and USB-C cords through the Spanish Main? Was during the great USB-C shortage of 1687, you see. Apple had just released their new electric barnacle scrubber, and sailors everywhere were trading sacks of freshly minted coins just for a solitary sweet sniff at one of the delightfully compact and sleekly designed charger cables. Of course, too-many-toes Jackson and myself had seen tell of this upcoming gold rush, written in crab trails on the sand, which is what we had instead of the stock market in them days.
Last week Spotify announced it would end support for its short-lived Car Thing accessory for streaming music in an automobile… and by end support, I mean the gadgets would just stop working altogether. Part of the problem is Spotify never sold many of these things, but folks who did buy them weren’t too happy, and now Spotify […]
That's according to noted horror genre leaker Dusk Golem and survival horror YouTuber Biohazard Declassified, both of whom have stepped up this weekend with rumours that Capcom is looking to breathe new life into the game that started it all, the very first Resident Evil.
Biohazard Declassified says they received an anonymous email that claims the game – with the working title, Biohazard: Resident Evil 1 – will be slower paced than RE2 Remake, feature a "different this person camera", and explore RE1's lore "further".
A dataminer thinks they've stumbled upon the release date for Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
Poking around in publisher Bandai Namco's website, SergioM3R claims they found evidence that the next Dragon Ball game will drop on 1st October, 2024.
As detailed in the video above, SergioM3R has "found a place containing the release dates for a lot of Bandai Namco games", and the list seems to include the release dates of both confirmed and unconfirmed titles not via a third party, but via "Bandai Namco's own official data".
That's according to notable – and often accurate – leaker Tom Henderson, who claims that "no one in the know [at Ubisoft] is disappointed" with the number of pre-orders the highly-anticipated action-RPG has secured so far.
"Assassin's Creed Shadows pre-orders are looking very strong," Henderson said in his full, if brief, statement on Twitter/X. "I don't have the exact numbers yet, but no one in the know is disappointed with them."
Billbil-kun says they're unsure of the game's release date but reckons we may find out more at the next PlayStation State of Play showcase, which is also rumoured – but yet to be confirmed – to be taking place later this month.
A Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 art book has leaked online, confirming the delayed game by Saber Interactive will include a PvP mode.
YouTuber prdalien0 shared a full flick through the book, giving us a detailed dive into the game's various modes and customisations months ahead of Space Marine 2's scheduled release in September 2024.
As well as confirming that the PvP mode will be Marine x Marine "only" and showing off its associated classes, the book also reveals that there's banner and clan customisation for PvP and a hub-type space from which you can pick up missions and upgrade your character.

Gabriel Shipton, the brother of jailed leaker Julian Assange, will attend President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on Thursday at the invitation of Rep. Thomas Massie (R–Ky.).
The invitation is meant as a pointed message to the Biden administration, which has been trying to extradite Assange from Britain to try him for his role in publishing classified information through his website WikiLeaks.
Massie signed a bipartisan letter calling for Assange's release on February 20.
"The prosecution of Julian Assange is a direct attack on the 1st amendment and the freedom of the press to publish information in the public interest," Shipton said in a statement released by Massie's office. "Rep. Massie is a fierce defender of these rights having introduced legislation that would protect my brother Julian and put an end to the espionage act being weaponised against publishers."
In July 2022, Massie proposed the Espionage Act Reform Act alongside Rep. Ro Khanna (D–Calif.) in order to protect journalists from being prosecuted as spies. Sen. Ron Wyden (D–Ore.) proposed a companion bill in the Senate.
The Espionage Act punishes anyone who transmits classified data. The reform bills would limit prosecutions to government employees who violate their security clearances, as well as foreign agents and others who try to buy or trade classified documents.
Assange, an Australian publisher, attracted the ire of the U.S. government in the early 2010s for publishing classified data provided by former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, including a database of U.S. diplomatic cables and a video of a U.S. Army helicopter gunning down a news crew in Iraq.
The Obama administration initially concluded that it could not charge Assange because of the "New York Times problem": If WikiLeaks could be prosecuted, so could mainstream newspapers that dealt with government sources and published the classified information.
The Trump administration, however, charged Assange with computer hacking, which it later upgraded to Espionage Act violations. (Mike Pompeo, then the CIA director, also reportedly considered kidnapping or murdering Assange.) The Biden administration has continued trying to extradite Assange from Britain, where he was arrested in April 2019 after his political asylum was revoked. He has remained in a high-security prison in southeast London since.
"The U.S. government's ongoing effort to prosecute Julian Assange threatens the First Amendment rights of Americans and should be opposed," Massie said in his statement. "During his term in office, I asked President Trump to pardon Mr. Assange, and I was disappointed by his failure to do so. President Biden should drop the criminal charges currently being pursued by the Department of Justice."
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a 10.4 inch Android tablet with a FHD+ touchscreen display and support for Samsung’s pressure-sensitive S-Pen. It’s also one of the most affordable S-Pen enabled devices. When Samsung first launched the tablet in 2020, it had a list price of $350, and two years later, when the company released […]
Details about the Google Pixel 8a have been leaking for months, but launch day could be coming soon, as WinFuture has found product listings at some retail websites… including some references to the price tag, which indicate that Google’s next mid-range phone will be pricier than its last. In other recent tech news from around […]
PC makers have begun referring to the latest laptops with Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen 8040, and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chips as “AI PCs” thanks to the advanced neural processing units integrated in each of those processors. But it’s a little vague what actually makes these “AI PCs” at this point. According to Windows […]
EA and BioWare are "pretty confident" that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be released later this year.
That's according to industry insider Jeff Grubb, who said on yesterday's Game Mess podcast that whilst it wasn't clear when the game would next be shown, "it will be released this year".
"I suspect [Dragon Age: Dreadwolf] ] will probably pop up this summer," Grubb said (thanks, wccftech). "I don't know when it'll be shown, but [I] assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Could happen at any time, though.
Footage of what's claimed to be an "internal demo" of LittleBigPlanet Hub – the free-to-play PS3 exclusive announced initially, and expected to be released, in 2013 – has popped up online.
Whilst the game was never formally cancelled, it was never released, either, which makes the footage – which is complete with voicework from series stalwart Stephen Fry and the costumes and gameplay long associated with the family-friendly platformer – all the more surprising.
"LittleBigPlanet Hub beta official gameplay full walkthrough recorded in 2013," is all the YouTube video's description says, with a later Short from the same account alleging that the build was still live and could still be downloaded.
Intel had a rough few years a while back, when the company struggled to meet its original goals for moving from 14nm to 10nm and wound up shipping multiple generations of processors manufactured on a 14nm node while competitors were moving to smaller and more efficient processes. But Intel says its Foundry business is back […]
