1v1 LoL: How to Get Better? | Beginner’s Guide
Like many multiplayer games, 1v1 LoL is a game that might feel extremely difficult when starting off. The game has a steep learning curve and some mechanics that are quite tricky to master.
In this guide, we will be looking at some essential tips everyone needs to know about 1v1 LoL. Whether you are struggling with building or shooting, we cover the important basics of 1v1 LoL
How to Get Better
The 3 things you should focus on to get better are:
- Key Bindings
- Building
- Gunplay
Key Bindings
For any game you want to get better at, you need to first get used to the controls. A great way to do that is to set custom key bindings or controls that make it easier for you to play the game. All this comes down to preference, and there’s no objective way to say one set of controls is better than the other.
When setting controls try to set keys that are comfortable to use. Make sure that the keys you set are also close to each other. This will make it easier for you to build faster and make less mistakes.
Building
Building is an integral part of 1v1 LoL’s gameplay. Without being able to build properly, it is impossible to improve in this game.
Vertical building is very important in 1v1 LoL, as it is the best defensive tool at your disposal. By being able to build vertically, you make it harder for enemies to hit you and can get a height advantage.
Other than building properly, you need to be fast at it. The best way to improve in this aspect is by practicing with the various structures. A lot of it comes down to muscle memory, and eventually, you will be able to build very instinctively.
Gunplay
Alongside building, the other important gameplay aspect is gunplay. When it comes to using your guns you need to make sure you are familiar with the different guns, and more importantly, have property crosshair placement.
Getting familiar with guns is something that will happen naturally with time. The different weapons will have different properties and recoil patterns. There’s no easy way to do this as your control of the guns will only improve with practice.
For your aim, Crosshair placement is by far the most important thing to improve on. In a 1v1 fight vs someone, having your crosshair on them will give you a much higher chance of coming out victorious.
Your crosshair in 1v1 LoL is always at the center of your screen. Make sure to try and anticipate where the enemy will be when they appear.
