Sony is pulling Horizon Forbidden West from its PS Plus subscription service in the coming weeks.

The first-party Sony game is now listed under the 'Last Chance to Play' section on PS Plus, along with the likes of NieR Replicant, Marvel's Midnight Suns and Alien Isolation.

The previously rumoured Lego game based on Guerrilla's Horizon series has been officially announced.

It's called Lego Horizon Adventures, and it kicked off this evening's Summer Game Fest showcase. It is set to release this "holiday", and, while it was previously said that Lego Horizon Adventures was going to be coming to both PC and PlayStation 5, it will also be making its way onto Nintendo Switch when it releases later this year.

While it can be played solo, Lego Horizon Adventures has been "designed for two-player action". It supports couch co-op and online play (Sony notes an online subscription is required for console players). You can check out a trailer for this "playful and light-hearted" take on the Horizon series below.

Sony has announced who will replace Jim Ryan as the company's CEO.

In a change, the company will be led by two CEOs, with Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino both stepping into new leadership positions.

Hulst will serve as CEO of the new Studio Business Group, Sony announced in a message to staff from interim CEO Hiroki Totoki. Nishino will meanwhile be appointed CEO of the company's Platform Business Group. Horizon Forbidden West is set to make its PC debut later this month, on 21st March, as part of the Complete Edition. Ahead of this, the teams at Nixxes and Guerrilla have shared a few more details on what to expect.

Along with the PC specifications, which are shown below, the studios have also shed more light on the graphics presets and other variables players will be able to select.

Presets range from low to high, with the Forbidden West team stating this will allow those with the latest tech to "push their systems, while also providing a great experience on less powerful PCs".

UPDATE 11.49pm: Following reports Horizon Forbidden West developer Guerrilla Games has cut jobs as part of Sony's decision to lay off 900 workers across its PlayStation teams, Spider-Man studio Insomniac Games has confirmed it's also been affected.

"Like several other teams across SIE and PlayStation Studios," the developer wrote in a statement shared on social media, "Insomniac Games was impacted by yesterday's layoffs. There are no sufficient words to express our feelings about it. This is a solemn and unprecedented moment for our studio."

"We are focusing our energy on helping everyone affected through this challenging time," the studio's statement continued. "For those who are hiring, there are great people seeking new roles who made important contributions to Insomniac's history. We're extremely grateful for them and they will be missed".

Sony president and PlayStation chairman Hiroki Totoki has spoken of the opportunities available in its approach to releasing first-party games on PC, saying it's "proactively [working] on" bringing more titles to other platforms as part of an "aggressive" profit margin growth plan.

Totoki made the comments during an investor Q&A coinciding with Sony's latest financial earnings report. When asked how its gaming division might be looking to increase profits, he first discussed the difficulty of cost reduction in PlayStation hardware, given component pricing, before highlighting a "multiplatform" approach to its first-party game releases as a potentially more fruitful area of expansion.

"In the past, as you all know," Totoki explained, "we wanted to popularise [our] console, and the first-party title's main purpose was to make the console popular."

It's also unclear where a potential Ghost of Tsushima sequel fits in.
