Ubisoft has been working on implementing an advanced reputation system into Rainbow Six Siege for quite a while now, and since Year 8 season 4, the system has been present in Siege in a beta state. For the time being, it's going to stay in beta - Ubisoft says the system still isn't behaving consistently enough and requires further improvement before it's fully implemented.
Rainbow Six Siege's creative director Alexander Karpazis doesn't believe the elderly shooter needs a change of game engine or for that matter, a sequel. He feels that Siege can "last forever", adding that "I'm not going to name names, but you see games go through sequels and just completely drop the ball."
There’s a new Rainbow Six game out today, but it’s not like any previous entry in Ubisoft’s long-running tactical shooter franchise. Instead, this new entry, Rainbow Six SMOL, is a top-down, cartoony, roguelite mobile shooter exclusive to Netflix subscribers.
