Warner Bros. Japan has officially announced that the upcoming Suicide Squad Isekai anime series will premiere on June 27 with three episodes, and be streamed on Hulu and Max in the U.S.
According to Warner Bros official X's (formerly Twitter) account, the first three episodes of Suicide Squad Isekai will premiere on the streamers on June 27. Internationally, the show will premiere on ADN in France, HBO GO in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and Aniplus and Laftel in Korea.

Suicide Squad Isekai, animated by Attack on Titan and Spy x Family animation studio WIT, was first announced at Anime Expo 2023. The series follows DC villains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark as they engage in a perilous mission in a fantasy world connected to Gotham where “swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies.”
The Suicide Squad is given an impossible task to battle by Amanda Waller to explore the fantasy world. Naturally, their rampage-filled exploration leads to their imprisonment by the Isekai kingdom soldiers. In order to earn their freedom, the DC baddies must fight against a fearsome imperial army and liberate the fantasy world in the process. As is tradition, the team has to accomplish their mission within 72 hours lest the Waller detonates the bombs in their necks.
While the anime’s English cast has yet to be revealed, its Japanese cast is filled with some notorious voice actors from popular anime series. Key among them are:
Suicide Squad Isekai is slated to have 10 episodes which will air every Thursday on the streamers until its season finale on August 15.

Video game composer Geoff Follin, known for his role in crafting ‘80s and ‘’90s-era songs for the Nintendo Entertainment System, has passed away at the age of 58 from pancreatic cancer.
Follin’s passing was announced yesterday by his brother and fellow composer Tim in a Facebook post (spotted by Time Extension). According to Tim, Follin passed away earlier this week while awaiting scans from his pancreatic cancer diagnosis on May 7.
“The speed at which this has happened has been utterly brutal. He leaves behind an amazing wife and three amazing children, the oldest 19 and the youngest only 16. You can imagine how devastating this is for all of them and for the rest of us,” Tim wrote on Facebook. “He was four years older than me and I idolised him and copied him throughout my teens and throughout my life. He was the most empathic, caring, loving brother you could wish for, I loved him as much as it's possible to love anyone.
The video game composing duo was well-known for pushing the Nintendo Entertainment System to its limits with musical techniques, resulting in a plethora of toe-tapping tunes. Their resume famously includes video game adaptations for popular pop culture movies and comic books like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Geoff’s last musical contribution to the video games industry was the soundtrack for the 1995 Batman Forever 2D sidescrolling action game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, according to Time Extention.
“Geoff was too young for this. He never smoked, hardly drank, exercised regularly and ate healthily. He did everything you're supposed to. And yet this happened,” Tim wrote, encouraging their longtime fans to consider donating to pancreatic cancer research organizations.

The Legend of Zelda fans who have long pondered when Link would finally share a kiss with Zelda have discovered that the hero of Hyrule already smooched someone in an official manga. What’s more, it wasn’t with Zelda, but with his faithful Twilight Princess companion, Midna.
The kiss in question comes from Viz Media’s The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess series. The 11-volume manga was written and drawn by a duo of female Japanese mangaka A. Honda and S. Nagano under the pseudonym Akira Himekawa. The pair is most famously known for their manga adaptations of The Legend of Zelda franchise, which go beyond simply retelling the events of games like Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask by providing backstory to its MacGuffins and remixing storylines.
We should note that Himekawa's Twilight Princess Manga isn't new; in fact, its first volume was published in English in 2017 and will receive a complete series box set in September. However, a lot of diehard Zelda fans are just now discovering its existence and they're beside themselves over a manga panel from its final volume — which many took for a well-drawn Link x Midna fan art circulating on X/Twitter — where the two engage in a passionate kiss.
Whereas 2006’s Twilight Princess heavily implied that Midna harbored romantic feelings for Link, Himekawa’s manga took things a step further by having her kiss the Hyrulean warrior before returning to the Twilight Realm. To make matters all the more awkward, the heartfelt kiss happened in front of Zelda.

Much like Himekawa’s Twilight Princess series, manga adaptations of well-known video game series like Mario and Kirby often expand on the relationships of its titular heroes in hilarious in-character (or out-of-character) scenarios. As one X/Twitter user points out, Himekawa in particular have gotten away with quite a bit. This revelation hasn't stopped Zelda players, more specifically fans of Midna, to take a victory lap over the canonical kiss.
While Midna shippers on Twitter are discovering the kiss for the first time, folks on Resetera are a year in on fondly reminiscing over the manga’s emotionally climactic kiss as a prime “Do you remember” topic of discussion. Much of Reserta’s chitchat over the surprise kiss lament over Zelda being forever in the friend zone (despite Link sleeping in her house), while others champion the moment as ample reason for Midna in a future Zelda game.
Others, meanwhile, are just enjoying watching fans discover the moment for the first time.
