So, how does it look, how well does it run - and why exactly is it there in the first place?
To install the mod, you'll also need the most recent REFramework tool from Github, extract that into the Dragon's Dogma 2 install directory, then add in the mod's Lua script to the autorun folder. Go in-game, and you should have access to a bunch of additional options at the bottom of the REFramework overlay related to RT and path tracing.
With PT enabled, you'll see significantly more material and lighting detail versus the standard ray-traced global illumination (RTGI) with the option to use a per-pixel or four-samples-per-pixel level of granularity - each with a corresponding performance cost, of course. The standard RTGI has significantly less information to work with - one sample for every four pixels, so it has a lot more compromises compared to the 'ground truth' of path tracing.

Capcom will release a new update for Dragon's Dogma 2 which will make some changes to Dragonsplague and adjust some Pawn behaviours, making them less prone to falling off the side of cliffs in the process.
First off, let's talk about Dragonsplague, the affliction that can consume Pawns, resulting in some pretty devastating consequences. Capcom said its next patch will reduce the infection frequency of Dragonsplague, and also make it easier to spot.

It's been a bit of a shaky start for Dragon's Dogma 2 since its release, but it looks as though developer Capcom is trying to keep on top of things. Maybe that's just the state of the video game industry these days, but I digress.
While the game is available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, many of you will be playing it on PC, specifically through the Steam store. And, if you do happen to have a Steam Deck in your possession, you may be wondering whether it's compatible with the handheld device.

Does Dragon's Dogma 2 have official Steam Deck Support?
Dragon's Dogma 2 is not currently supported for the device. So, before you break out Valve's mobile gaming PC, it's worth noting this comes from the official Dragon's Dogma 2 Steam page, straight from Capcom.
Can you get Dragon's Dogma 2 to run without official support?
There can be a number of reasons why something isn't suited for the Steam Deck. In this case, it seems as though the fact that the game is not supported is down to the game's graphic settings. More specifically, they "cannot be configured to run well on Steam Deck."
It's worth mentioning that this is not the same as something just being labelled as "playable." In situations like that, the game in question could well work for the Deck, but is likely to be missing some features or perhaps be a little buggy. It's only really "verified" titles that are best suited for the device.
There may well be a patch in the future that will make Dragon's Dogma 2 compatible. For now, Valve appears to have tested it and deemed it unfit. You can, of course, go ahead and try it if you have the game and a Deck, but don't expect miracles.
I also predict that, as we move forward, more new releases are going to be less Steam Deck compatible from day one. It's been out for over two years now and it's starting to show its age a bit, especially when compared to newer devices, such as the Lenovo Legion Go and ASUS ROG ally.

Although it does add these new fixes and adjustments will be added to "each platform as soon as they are ready," which may mean the patch will release at different times across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Regardless, the biggest inclusion is an adjustment to Dragonsplague, which has been wreaking havoc in Dragon's Dogma 2 since it causes infected Pawns to go on a killing spree and raze entire villages if left untreated. It's also very tricky to spot, and the game makes little effort to warn you should one of your Pawns catch the virus. While some players welcome the extra level of chaos and danger it brings to the game, others flat out hate how disruptive it is. There are even PC mods that remove it entirely.
While Capcom has no intention of disabling Dragonsplague itself, the patch will at least make it less common by "reducing the infection frequency," and also make its symptoms, such as the glowing eyes, easier to spot. That's not all the patch will do though. Aside from miscellaneous bug fixes, it will add an option to zoom in your Arisen and Pawns' faces in certain menus, and adjust Pawn behavior in multiple ways. For example, Pawns should become less likely to fall off cliffs and certain lines of dialogue won't repeat as often.
Dragon's Dogma 2 launched on March 22 and for all the complaints lobbied against it for the Dragonsplague, its performance, and microtransactions, Capcom looks to have another smash success on its hands. In a press release on April 2, Capcom confirmed the action RPG had sold over 2.5 million units in less than two weeks. By comparison, it took the first Dragon's Dogma over a month to sell one million units, according to this 2012 Capcom press release.

Elden Ringu a jemu podobných.
One of the first things you’ll need to do in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is pick your starting Vocation.
Vocations are basically like classic JRPGs Jobs or Classes: they each serve a different role in your party, thanks to their unique abilities. In an action RPG like this, though, they also define your playstyle!
In this guide, we’ll summarize what you can expect from the starting Vocations so that you have an easier time picking your favorite one.

Which Starting Vocation to Pick | Dragon’s Dogma 2 Vocation Guide
You can pick one Vocation out of four upon starting Dragon’s Dogma 2. The four at your disposal are Fighter, Archer, Mage, and Thief.
Each one of them enables a wholly different playstyle from the other while being equally strong. So, which one you pick will depend entirely upon your taste!
As we said previously, though, we’ll give you a breakdown of all of these Vocations to help quell any indecisiveness you may have.
Though, before we dive into each Vocation, we want to let you know two main things:
You can freely change Vocations later in the game, and it doesn’t take long to get to that point. You’ll also unlock some more Vocations, as well!
Like in the first Dragon’s Dogma, each Vocation will unlock a variety of passive traits called Augments. It’s a good idea to level up all Vocations to get Augments, as they are shared.
Anyway, with that out of the way, let’s break down all 4 starting Vocations in the game!
A Vocation that uses a sword and shield, making it pretty balanced for offense and defense. You can swiftly cut down foes with your sword, and protect yourself with your shield.
Fighters are also able to counterattack after blocking, allowing them to turn the tide of battle quickly. They also serve the role of tanks, protecting their allies.
Besides that, they also get some more creative uses for their weapons.
For example, you can use the Springboard ability to make your Pawns jump off your shield! Perfect for striking at aerial foes.
Archer
This Vocation specializes in, you guessed it, long-range combat. You’ll get to use a bow to rain arrows upon your foes from a safe distance.
A bow doesn’t just allow you to strike from a distance, either! It also allows you to easily strike at weak points, which can be great for giving your party openings.
It’s way easier to shoot an arrow into a Cyclops’ eye than to climb all over its body to stab it, for example!
Consider their good mobility on top of that and you’ve got a very versatile long-range damage dealer.
Mage
Your one-stop-shop for magic, the Mage can use a large array of spells to attack enemies and aid his party.
Mages can cast basic offensive spells, which can be excellent for dealing some elemental damage.
They don’t have quite as much magical prowess as the Sorcerer Advanced Vocation, but they get the job done!
Additionally, the Mage can aid their party using a variety of buffs and healing spells, which makes the Mage an excellent Vocation for offense and support.
Thief
The closest you can get to the Strider Vocation from the first Dragon’s Dogma. Thieves get to use dual daggers to quickly zoom all over the battlefield, dominating enemies with their speed.
Their impressive speed and mobility also make the Thief ideal for climbing over large monsters and striking at weakpoints with ease.
Besides their speed, they also get a host of unique traps and tactics. You can use Powder Charges you detonate at will, ensnaring traps, Smoke Screens, and more!
All in all, the Thief vocation is perfect if you want to play as an extremely agile and crafty character.
That’s the last of the starting Vocations we have to cover here! We hope our breakdowns helped you decide which one you want to pick first in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
If nothing else, always remember that you can freely change Vocations later in the game, as we said before. There’s no reason not to try them all out, especially since Augments are shared across Vocations.

Ahead of the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 later this month, Capcom has made the character creator available to download.
It means players can create up to five designs for both their Arisen and main Pawn ahead of time, which will transfer to the main game.
And when the character creator is this detailed, getting ahead of the game is a massive win.

The original Dragon's Dogma is one of my personal favourite games - but I can't deny it has a few shortcomings. To him the original game is a flawed example of the dream game he's always wanted to create, which is why I assume he only spoke of Dragon's Dogma 2 with an infectious glee.
So much of what I experienced in the time I played Dragon's Dogma 2 gave me a very strange, but comfortable feeling of deja-vu. Have you ever gone back to play a game from your childhood, only to feel disappointed that it didn't look or play as well as you remembered? Dragon's Dogma 2 feels like the inverse of that sensation: as if I'm replaying the original ten years later, but it feels better and looks prettier than I remember.
My adventure in Dragon's Dogma 2 began in the city of Battahl, a large Beastren settlement with striking similarities to the original Dragon's Dogma's Gran Soren. The Beastrens are a newly playable race in the sequel, something Itsuno-san was keen to include from its outset. "I was really glad to implement them into the game in the scale I always wanted to," he told me. "Not only do different Beastren characters appear throughout the game, but you can play as one as well. Speaking to Japanese site 4Gamer, as translated by Automaton, Itsuno revealed that the game's scenes of sizzling flesh are derived from live action film of steaks being grilled - partly for the sake of authenticity, and partly to save money versus creating computer models of meat products. You can cook several types of meat in Dragon's Dogma, each of which has its own cutscene, and a number of Dragon's Dogmatists are already performatively salivating at the prospect on social media.

I made my kitten as my pal, because I guess that's what I do now.
One of the sillier aspects of the original Dragon's Dogma was accidentally falling head over heels for some rando innkeeper, and having them appear beside you as your sweetheart during the ending scenes, much to the surprise of many players who didn't realise they were hitting on every NPC they did a favour for.

The game's Affinity system saw NPCs organically forming an attachment to players when you interacted with them, gave them things or carried out tasks for them. Towards the conclusion, one NPC is selected as "Beloved" and promptly abducted by a dragon for you to quest forth and rescue. There are a few characters who are positioned more obviously as romanceables, but the brilliance of the system is that you can raise your Affinity with pretty much anybody. If you want to finish the game staring passionately into the eyes of the court jester or that hearty bloke who runs the armour shop, it's within your power.

Before I sat down to play three hours of Dragon's Dogma 2 at a Capcom event last month, I gave myself two broad objectives. The first was to discover if there's anything genuinely different about this undeniably enchanting but very familiar sequel to one of the happiest, barmiest action-RPGs of the past 20 years. The second was to royally screw myself by fielding a party consisting exclusively of magic-users.

The second was to royally screw myself by fielding a party consisting exclusively of magic-users.
In Dragon’s Dogma 2 as in Dragon’s Dogma 1, you lead a gang of up to three AI-controlled "pawn" characters – one permanent main sidekick who levels up alongside you, plus two auxiliary pawns created by other players, who are either summoned at Rift stones or spawned into the open world as hired help. As in most RPGs, the ideal party setup is a mix of pure melee, ranged and magical DPS or support classes, but given the whimsicality of Dragon’s Dogma’s sorcery, with its levitation spells and lightning whips, I’ve always wanted to try a whole playthrough as a posse of unescorted occultists.

After the presentation, the presenters also used the character creation tools to creat a Pawn based on a real-life cat named Daisy, which is planned to be available as an official pawn. This also isn't the first time official Pawns have appeared, as the Switch version of the first Dragon's Dogma got an official Pawn of Travis Touchdown as part of a collaboration with the No More Heroes series.

The Capcom Highlights event is set to go on for another day, with Day 2 to focus on games like Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Now, and Exoprimal. Earlier this week, game director Hideaki Itsuno revealed that the cooking cutscenes in Dragon's Dogma 2 used real meat instead of computer generated graphics.
Dragon's Dogma 2 will launch on March 22, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The Dragon's Dogma 2 character creator is available to download now on the same platforms, and the characters created can be imported into the main game.

This information came up halfway through the interview, when the 4Gamer interviewer commented on how they got hungry just from looking at the meat. Hideaki Itsuno, the director of Dragon’s Dogma 2, revealed that the scenes of the meat cooking over the campfire were real. They’d gathered all the camping enthusiasts on the team and held meetings for months discussing what they liked about camping. One of them mentioned that they could look at meat cooking all day, which the team then implemented into the game.
According to Itsuno, “We could have spent money on CGI for the meat, but we figured that if we were going to spend money anyway, we might as well spent it on real, god meat.” The images change depending on what kind of meat you’re cooking in Dragon's Dogma 2. Because of the sheer variety in camping types, they could not fit everything that the staff said in the game. All that they kept from the discussions were cooking meat and collecting wood.
While collecting wood has no real meaning from a game point of view, the team considered it something fun about camping. Itsuno said in the 4Gamer interview that he wants the player to say, “Man, the Dragon’s Dogma 2 team is full of idiots,” before he started to laugh. He added that since Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a fantasy world simulator, he wanted to include all of the details that would make it like a life sim of sorts.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will come out on March 22, 2024 for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. You can check out our preview for the game here.

It’s been 11 years since the release of Capcom’s fantasy action-role playing game Dragon’s Dogma, with fans readily anticipating the March 22 release of its long-awaited sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes everything that made the original a cult classic and builds upon that foundation. There are new vocations, more monsters to take on, more ways to defeat them, more places to venture to, and above all, more life in the world of the Arisen.
I got the chance to go hands-on with Dragon’s Dogma 2 and speak with its director, Hideaki Itsuno. Here’s some of the standout features from my experience with Dragon’s Dogma 2, along with some quotes provided by the director.
A connected world
The first thing I noticed on my adventure in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is how real the world feels. Thanks to the PlayStation 5 SSD, there were no loading times when traveling from land to land, making the adventure feel that much more captivating. I went straight from the starting village to monster-filled outskirts without even noticing how far I traveled due to the world’s interconnected feel.
This interconnection applies to the monsters as well. After a losing battle with a dragon and attempting to escape, I was horrified to see the scaly fiend still chasing me as I made my way back to what I thought was the safety of the village.
Of course, Itsuno was delighted to hear about my reaction to this, as it was one of his main goals to make the game feel that much more lively on current-gen hardware.
“Back on the PlayStation 3 with the original we were limited and thus, creatures would eventually load out after you got far away enough. We wanted to use the innovations to make these creatures feel alive, so now when you try to run away you’ll look back and see it won’t be as easy as before.”
More ways to battle
I didn’t run from every battle, however. Once I was accustomed to the enemies of this world I realized the additions to the battle system and new vocations take Dragon’s Dogma 2 to new heights.
One vocation that stands out is the Mystic Spearhand, which gives access to magick arts and physical attacks using a dual-ended spear. Using this class against the many fiends sprawling this world I was able to not only defend with physical resistant buffs, but also take on the hordes with simple spear swings, dash attacks, and telekinetic attacks that allowed me to pick up and throw monsters. To hit two birds with one stone, you can toss one monster at another.
This feels like a class made for all obstacles. I enjoyed the freedom granted by the dash attack to both get in quickly with a damaging stab and evade enemy attacks. And now that all vocations can preserve stamina while standing atop giant monsters, I felt ready to take on any challenge the game threw at me.
A land of endless adventure
The land of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a large one that I immediately was lost in, heading out into the wilderness to seek adventure, where the magic of this game lies. Itsuno detailed it as a true journey title, a game where players don’t necessarily have to follow preset rules and destinations, but can make their own story.
Enhanced AI and Pawns
Upgrades in the AI department were also made. Pawns, which are your allies, are a lot more helpful and characteristically present throughout the adventure. The Pawn system is unchanged from the original. They still do the same things, such as grabbing items for you and helping in battle, but now they do it all more efficiently. They were always nearby when I needed them and it felt more than necessary to keep them alive to aid me in battle. They also lead the way to objectives whenever you find yourself lost in the vast world.
My favorite addition to these companions comes in the personality department. Pawns will speak to you and one another, making them feel like actual characters you can feel for, even though you may trade them off for another Pawn down the road.
Immersive PlayStation 5 features
The PlayStation 5 SSD isn’t the only feature the console highlights in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The game adds even more interactivity in battle, with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptics taking center stage. Both when you attack and get struck in turn, you’ll feel the ferocity of each blow through the DualSense controller.
You can get this experience and more when Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases March 22 on PlayStation 5.

Up to five Arisen & Pawns
Instead of spending hours on release day figuring out exactly what Race and Class you want to make your character and Main Pawn, you can do so now and jump right into Dragon's Dogma 2 when it releases on March 22. According to Capcom the data can be saved and then easily transferred to the full game on release.
The Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage tool can be downloaded for free on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can create five designs for their Arisen and Main Pawn and then instantly transfer them to the same platform on release day.
Also shown during Day 1 of Capcom Highlights were new official Capcom support Pawns that will be in Dragon's Dogma 2. Created by renowned content creators, players will be able to invite these official Pawns into their party directly through the Pawn Network.
We also got a brief look at how relationships with other characters will work in Dragon's Dogma 2. Decisions you make will impact other character interactions, and unlock creative solutions to avoiding altercations. The example provided showed that you can use exquisite counterfeit items in place of the real thing when turning in quest items. Each decision affects a complex web of relationships between over 1,000 characters throughout the game world, each with their own objectives and motive.

A konečně, abyste měli pořádnou zasta

A konečně, abyste měli pořádnou zastavovací sílu, nabitá střela dokáže zastavit i Minotaura uprostřed útoku.
