ALS, which is commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, forced the baseball legend to retire at the age of 36. The seven-time All-Star and six-time World Series Champion had the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award named after him, and is given annually to the MLB player who best exemplifies integrity and character.
Gehrig brought a combination of power and contact on the field, winning a batting title and a Triple Crown. Here is everything you need to know about adding the slugger to your lineup.

College football's best quarterbacks stay calm, cool, and collected in the pocket. But that's always easier said than done when you have over 100,000 fans at Beaver Stadium or in Death Valley cheering so loud you can't even hear yourself think. Here is everything you need to know about confidence and composure in EA Sports College Football 25.
Abilities in College Football 25 help players differentiate themselves from the rest of the competition and provide boosts that could be the difference in winning a game. However, confidence and composure are two other skills that every college athlete needs to perform at the highest level, and EA created a feature that replicates that.
What are confidence and composure in EA Sports College Football 25?
As explained in the gameplay deep dive trailer, confidence and composure are constantly changing features that depend on players getting hot or cold depending on the outcome of each play. For example, a freshman will have more erratic tendencies, and as the crowd level increases, it will affect their confidence. Events such as scoring touchdowns can lift the morale of your entire team, while individual achievements such as a pass breakup can significantly boost the composure of the player who made the big play.
Composure goes hand-in-hand with individual player archetypes. In the gameplay deepdive blog, EA used an example of a scrambling quarterback who gets hot will have improved ball security, while a field general will benefit from improved throw accuracy. There are also mental abilities that will impact composure. The Legion ability increased the confidence of other defensive backs when that player gets an interception, but these mental abilities are also lost whenever a player goes cold. Coaches will have to manage their players based on how cold or hot they are and how experienced they are given a certain situation.
If the home crowd is getting louder, it might be smart to do a simpler play so the player doesn't make a mistake because of their confidence and composure.
Abilities are a new feature in EA Sports College Football 25 that differentiates players from the competition and gives your team an extra edge on game day. Here is everything you need to know about the multi-layered system.

Unlike the NFL, which has 32 teams featuring the best professional athletes in the world, EA Sports College Football 25 includes 134 schools, meaning there is a huge gulf in talent. Five-star recruits in high school go to huge programs like Alabama, while two and three-star recruits will find themselves at smaller schools in a less distinguished conference.
To achieve that authentic feeling of a gap in skill between different programs, EA created abilities, so players who are destined to be drafted into the NFL one day or were the best athletes in high school feel like that on the field.
What are abilities in EA Sports College Football 25?
In College Football 25, there are 80 different abilities categorized into physical or mental categories. Each group is further divided into four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. A player can have five physical and three mental abilities at most. For example, the Field General mental ability allows a player to identify blitzers post-snap for the bronze tier. As for the Platinum tier, the player can identify blitzers, a coverage shell, and disguised coverage pre-snap.
An example of a physical ability is Downhill. The player will get slightly more broken tackles at Bronze after reaching max speed, and at Platinum, earn the ultimate ability to break tackles after reaching 80 percent of max speed.
EA committed to making sure that the abilities aren't too overpowered. In a blog post, the development team used the Pocket Shield ability as an example. Offensive linemen will hold blocks better on standard passing players, but even at the Platinum tier, the distance to the first down doesn't apply if it is more than 10 yards. Every ability is situational and won't be available for every play, to make games still feel balanced.
EA didn't go into detail on how players go about acquiring abilities and upgrading them. We will learn more about abilities and their impact on every game mode closer to launch.

EA Sports College Football 25 challenges players to pick their spots and protect their players from taking big hits at all costs. Here is everything you need to know about the wear and tear feature and how to best avoid injuries.
Wear and tear is a new feature in EA Sports College Football 25, which accurately tracks the impact of every hit and fall on your players. For example, if your quarterback throws the ball 40 times in a game and takes a few shots from sitting in the pocket for too long, he won't operate at 100 percent the following week. Or, if a running back takes a huge shot to his knee or lower leg, they won't have the same explosiveness on the following set of plays.
Thankfully, there is a way to mitigate wear and tear and prevent your best players from taking unnecessary damage that might potentially keep them off the field when they're needed most. Lets jump right into how this feature works.
How does wear and tear work in EA Sports College Football 25?
As seen in the image above, every limb and body part of a player is linked to a different color indicator. Yellow is slight, high is orange, and severe is red. Based on the hits or fatigue from that body part, the color will change, and a meter in the bottom left indicates how close a player is to becoming injured. Fortunately, their body parts will degrade slower based on the toughness rating, and players can regain health when they are not on the field, during timeouts, at halftime, and between weeks.
To avoid injuries, users should regularly make substitutions to provide rest and prevent wear and tear. In addition, it's always more fun to make an exciting spin move, juke, or hurdle over defenders, but you don't always want to put your players in dangerous positions. So even though it's not as flashy, sometimes running out of bounds or doing a safe catch might save your team for later in the season.
How to check wear and tear
Here is a list of ways to check wear and tear in EA Sports College Football 25.
Player reticle - Left side Wear and Tear bars, right side fatigue. Note, the bars depleting only represent the most hurt body part.
Depth chart - Here, you can see a Wear and Tear panel on the bottom right of the player card as well as the total an attribute is decreasing in the spreadsheet.
Coach Vision - Hold LT+RS on Xbox or L2+R2 on PlayStation down to see the Wear and Tear status of your entire team.
Picture in Picture (PIP) in the play call menu.
We've added a ton of 'Wear and Tear' get-up animations. After a player is banged up, you'll see a variety of animations for a given body part, depending on the severity.
You can also manage your players' Wear and Tear in the Dynasty player card.

Despite achieving remarkable success domestically, PSG failed to reach the final of the Champions League once again, and superstar Kylian Mbappe announced his departure from the club at the end of the season. After already losing Neymar and Messi in previous seasons, the league has suffered a massive blow in talent level.
In saying that, there are still plenty of exciting players in France who have earned a place in this season's EA FC 24 TOTS team. This includes remarkable seasons from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Jonathan David, and more. Without further ado, lets take a look at the full team.

EA FC 24 didn't hold back this year when it came to adding players. Usually TOTS teams include around 13 or 14 players, but this iteration has well over 20 names. With so many players, there will be a lot of cheap options under 50,000 coins on the market. However, this also means that there will be a higher percentage chance of pulling one of the less desirable cards from Weekend League rewards with an overabundance of cards included in the team.

How to get 99 overall Jake Arrieta in MLB The Show 24
Players can acquire 99 overall Jake Arrieta in MLB The Show 24 by unlocking the World Series pack in Ranked. To do this, they must climb the ranks and increase their Rating to 900. Rating is earned by winning matches in Ranked. If players struggle to meet the requirement for World Series rank, they can also unlock Arrieta through the Ranked program reward path by earning 100 Program Stars, which are earned by completing innings and accumulating stats such as strikeouts, extra base hits, hits, and more.
There are only four other starting pitchers on the Marketplace, meaning you should focus on unlocking this card if possible. If you already have a strong rotation, the World Series choice pack also has 99 overall Jorge Posada as an option. The switch-hitting catcher has some of the best-hitting stats in the game mode and would easily crack anyone's lineup. In saying that, the 99 velocity and break combination for Arrieta is hard to pass up.

Wano is the longest story Arc in One Piece, and features an epic showdown between Luffy and Kaido. Here is everything we know about the highly anticipated bout that will go down in history as one of the best fights of the series.
Eiichiro Oda divided the Wano Country Arc in One Piece into three acts. The third and final act includes a fight that will inevitably shift the balance of power and set up the final stage of the story. Ever since Luffy and Law originally formed their pirate alliance in Punk Hazard several arcs ago, the ultimate goal has been to take down Kaido. Unforeseen circumstances delayed that task, but the duo finally get a chance to fulfill their goal in Wano.
What episode does the Luffy vs. Kaido fight begin?
In episode 914, Luffy starts fighting Kaido. Amid a drunken rampage, Kaido destroys Oden's castle, prompting Luffy to challenge one of the Four Emperors to a battle. Without giving too much away, fans shouldn't go into this battle expecting it to be short and sweet. Kaido is renowned as the world's "strongest creature," so Luffy was never going to take down the giant with just one Gomu Gomu no Mi punch.

Here is a full list of the top 10 arcs in One Piece.
10. Whole Cake Island
We got a brief glimpse into Sanji's past during the Baratie Arc, but there was always something more going on beneath the surface that remained a secret for 100s of episodes and chapters. Whole Cake Island finally fleshed out Sanji and elevated the character in a way I didn't think was possible.
Sanji's antics with women could be tiresome at times previously in the story, but Whole Cake Island finally contextualizes that obsession and makes the reader or viewer see the Straw Hat Pirate chef in a new light. Alongside a cast of phenomenal villains, this arc pulls at your heartstrings but also delivers one of the best fights in the series.
9. Drum Island
Following the trend of tragic backstories, Drum Island is one of the most emotional Arcs in One Piece. Chopper's gut-wrenching flashback alone would be enough to make this a top-10 worthy Arc, but other unforgettable moments also elevate this short detour into a tier of its own.
Unfortunately, the villain is rather forgettable, but he serves his role well enough and that isn't enough to drag down what otherwise is an amazing introduction to one of the core members of the crew.
7. Impel Down
Luffy's ability to make new friends and recruit new followers makes him an amazing captain and one of the best Shonen protagonists. Luffy goes into Impel Down alone, but slowly creates a rag-tag team of unlikely allies that are charming and impossible not to root for.
In what should have been a serious arc, the hilarious trio of Luffy, Bon Clay, and Buggy brings a dark and dreary prison to life. Yet at the same time, Impel Down also does eventually get down to business, featuring one of the best villains in the series, and puts the dominoes in place for story changing events in the future.
6. Wano
After almost four-and-a-half years, the Wano Arc has finally ended in the anime. As the longest Arc in the series, It's understandable that some fans may have grown tired and were ready for it to be over. But I believe that in years' time, we will look back on this Arc as one of the best in One Piece.
Toei Animation delivered some of the best animation not only for the series, but anime in general, and the peaks of this saga hit all of the right notes. A rewatch of Wano is going to age much better than the experience for fans who agonizingly waited every week for a new episode.
5. Water 7
Until this point in the story, the Straw Hats have never had to deal with serious internal disputes. In the Water 7 Arc, Luffy learns what it means to be a captain and almost loses everything in the process.
The Water 7 Arc is a powerful thematic tool used as a buildup for the following arc but also stands great on its own. In typical One Piece fashion, Franky's backstory is moving and makes you appreciate the character, but there are also other great characters introduced as well.
5. Sabaody Archipelago
The Sabaody Archipelago Arc will leave fans with their jaw on the floor by the end. Eiichiro Oda tackles serious themes in this Arc and doesn't pull any punches. In addition, we get introduced to the Worst Generation of pirates, who will all become key pieces on the board for the second half of the story.
And if that wasn't enough, The Sabaody Archipelago Arc dishes out a harsh dose of reality to the Straw Hat Pirates and ends on a stunning cliffhanger.
4. Alabasta
The Alabasta Arc puts a bow on One Piece's first saga perfectly. An excellent villain, layers of buildup, likable side characters, and twists and turns contributed toward creating an enthralling conclusion that made all of the buildup worth it. This is one of the first Arcs where each Straw Hat crew member gets an individual fight to shine, and the story structure lays the groundwork for the framework of other adventures.
3. Enies Lobby
Enies Lobby wouldn't be as amazing without the buildup in Water 7. The two Arcs, in tandem, culminate with one of the best scenes (or panels) of the series. Without the need to establish any of the surrounding context, Oda cuts right to the chase and gifts fans with a fast-paced and thrilling story that's well-paced and engaging all the way through.
2. Arlong Park
The Arlong Park Arc made me fall in love with One Piece. Everything about this Arc captures the true essence of the story. Luffy recruited Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji to be the core members of his crew, but it's not until Arlong Park you get a full grasp of the unbreakable bond they have formed.
Nami's backstory will bring you to tears, and Arlong is the first villain to pose a notable threat. Without giving too much away, several individual character moments set the tone for what fans can expect from the rest of the story.
1. Marineford
Marineford was always going to be the top-ranked One Piece Arc. I might have a more sentimental attachment to other arcs, but it's impossible to ignore what Oda managed to pull off with this Arc.
Throughout the first 400 or 500 manga chapters, Oda sprinkled in small bits of world-building and slowly built up anticipation for a war featuring all the world's major players. Marineford is a culmination of the first half of One Piece and it will be hard for the story to ever achieve a higher peak.
After a two-year time skip in One Piece, Fishman Island serves as the first opportunity for the Straw Hat Pirates to put all of their individual training to the test.
Eiichiro Oda divided One Piece into two halves. The Final Sea: The New World Saga starts with Fishman Island, as the Straw Hat pirates finally reconnect and begin their voyage on the second half of the Grand Line. Eiichiro Oda divided One Piece into two halves. The Final Sea: The New World Saga starts with Fishman Island, as the Straw Hat pirates finally reconnect and begin their voyage on the second half of the Grand Line. One Piece tends to follow a pattern of alternating between short and long Arcs. Fans will notice that Fishman Island will feel much smaller in scope and scale compared to other adventures.
Yet that doesn't mean there won't be any world-altering revelations or typical Straw Hat crew antics along the way. Here is everything you need to know about the Fishman Island Arc.
When does the Fishman Island Arc end in the One Piece anime?
Episode 574 is the final episode of the Fishman Island Arc in One Piece. The Arc is 51 episodes long, starting with 523. If fans want to avoid filler, they can skip episode 542, a crossover with the Toriko anime. Immediately following Fishman Island's conclusion fans can also opt to skip episodes 575 through 578 as they are also filler that follows the story of a thief who stole food from the Thousand Sunny.
After Fishman Island, One Piece dives headfirst into the epic saga of Dressrosa. Fans will have to buckle in for a much longer journey than Fishman Island, but fans certainly won't be disappointed.

Ubisoft revealed that XDefiant will launch on May 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The free-to-play FPS title features 14 maps, 24 weapons, five modes, and five factions. One of those game modes includes a Ranked Mode practice playlist to test out 4v4 competitive matches.
XDefiant was originally planned to hit shelves in the late summer of 2023, but a submission snafu delayed its release. Then, an October launch day also fell through because of party code and net code issues. After another delay in March, the FPS title could finally host a server test session in late April and iron out a few last wrinkles.
With no more roadblocks in the way, Ubisoft laid out the framework for future content. After the initial six-week Preseason event, XDefiant will get new weapons, maps, events, and a new faction every three months. Year One includes four Seasons that will add four factions, 12 weapons, and 12 maps. The devs did not provide any details about which Season players should expect to add an official ranked mode or private matches. Ubisoft teases that there will be more details about the title leading up to the official release date.

MW3 & Warzone Vortex: Virus Mainframe event start date
Vortex Virus Mainframe begins on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST
If players haven't unlocked all of the free rewards for Blaze Up, you only have a few days left, as the event also ends on this date. And for everyone who has enjoyed the High Trip Resurgence game mode, that mode will also be removed once Vortex Virus Mainframe starts.
It hasn’t been confirmed how long the latest Vortex event will last, but given that the Season 3 mid-season update is scheduled to start on May 1, Vortex Virus Mainframe will most likely be around for one week.
Like other events in the past, Vortex: Virus Mainframe rewards are earned by accumulating XP. The fastest way to earn XP is through using double XP tokens, playing Warzone, or jumping into small-map playlists in multiplayer that are relatively easy to get kills in. And, if you want to speed up the grind, a bonus 1000 XP will also be awarded for each match completed with the Bacillus skin equipped, which can only be obtained by purchasing the Vi.Rus Ultra Skin Tracer Pack.
Activision has yet to reveal the official rewards, but we expect it to resemble previous challenges. With that in mind, here is the likely list of prizes.

Ubisoft is hosting a server test session for XDefiant that started on April 19 and ends on April 21 at 1 PM ET. Any PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S user will have access to the playtest, and participants can earn free rewards that carry over to the official release. During the server test session, players will have access to every weapon and attachment, so you don't need to worry about leveling up before using any of the title's best loadouts. With that in mind, let's jump right into which weapons to use while you still have a chance during the test.
Best XDefiant loadouts and class setups for server test session
ACR 6.8
The ACR is a versatile AR with no earth-shattering stats but is well-balanced across the board. You won't have to worry about recoil control, as the ACR is an accurate laser beam from most ranges. This is the perfect starter weapon and a good introductory choice for anyone trying out XDefiant for the first time. Our loadout focuses on improving the weapon's mobility, as ADS times felt a tad slow during the server test session.
MP7
Fire and forget. If you are an aggressive player, this is the loadout for you. The MP7 doesn't offer much accuracy, but the SMG makes up for that in terms of mobility, firepower, and reload speed. While using this loadout, enemies will be miserable trying to fight while you slide around and make life difficult for them. I wouldn't recommend trying to use this loadout for any mid-range gunfights, but it's perfect for anything within 10 meters.
MP5A2
If you are an SMG fan but don't want to run and gun aimlessly, the MP5A2 is perfect for you. The easy-to-use SMG has reliable time-to-kill speeds, accuracy, and mobility. Our loadout focuses on maximizing the weapon's maneuverability without losing its signature firepower and accuracy, which sets it apart from other SMGs.
AK-47
After getting a feel for how guns feel in XDefiant, we recommend giving the AK-47 a try, as it's a high-skill, high-reward weapon. The AR isn't as accurate as the ACR 6.8, but if you can land your shots with the AK-47, it shreds effortlessly through opponents. With no official stats posted, it's hard to tell for sure, but this AR has one of the fastest TTK times in XDefiant.
TAC-50
You can't forget about sniping. It remains to be seen how much of an impact sniper rifles will have on XDefiant's meta, but the TAC-50 feels like the best of the bunch. This weapon hits like a truck but still has the mobility not to feel too heavy while running around during a match. Our loadout focuses on ADS speed and movement speed, so you aren't a sitting duck.

Through 16 MLB games, Witt Jr. ranked second in the league for fWAR, average velocity, and hard-hit ball percentage. On top of that, a .321 batting average, 25 hits, and stellar defense make the young shortstop one of the best players in baseball at the moment. There were some shouts for Marcel Ozuna and Mookie Betts to win the award instead, but ultimately, the devs gave the nod to Kansas City's lead man. Let's jump right into how players can get their hands on this card.
How to get the Bobby Witt Jr. Lightning Player card in MLB The Show 24
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to unlock Lightning Player Bobby Witt Jr.
Complete the Season Awards Drop 1 Program
Complete the Season Awards Drop 2 Program
Complete the Season Awards Drop 3 Program
Complete the Season Awards Drop 4 Player
Put Season Awards Series Ronel Blanco, Spencer Steer, Garret Crochet, and Michael Conforto in the Season 1 Awards Collection to unlock Lightning Player Bobby Witt Jr.
All four Programs require 50 stars to complete. You can earn those stars by completing Moments and XP Missions, purchasing Season Awards Packs, and adding Season Awards program players to Collections. These programs do not expire, so players have plenty of time to work through each. Overall, we expect this whole process to take a substantial amount of playtime, but any user should be able to complete it, regardless of skill level.
Bobby Witt Jr. Lightning Player attributes
Witt Jr. excels in all phases of the game. 113 contact against right-handed pitchers and 96 power against left-handed pitchers jump off the page as stunning attributes for a position that doesn't have too many powerful hitters. Additionally, 99 speed, 97 stealing, and above-average defensive attributes across the board are very appealing. This Lightning Player card has better hitting attributes than 94 overall Season Awards Series Elly De La Cruz, and is arguably the best shortstop in the game other than the obvious choice of 99 overall Jimmy Rollins. I would recommend putting in the time and effort to unlock this player, rather than spending over 140,000 Stubs on a card like De La Cruz.

After the two-week Goalazo promo that paid homage to some of the most iconic goals in soccer history, it's finally time for one of the most exciting promos of the year. TOTS honors the best-performing players from every major league in the world. EA will release full squads of boosted players from competitions like the Serie A, Premier League, and La Liga. Based on previous years, all signs pointed toward EA FC 24 starting with the Community TOTS, which is decided by a player vote.
However, this time around, the devs introduced Team of the Season Live.

The CoD Mobile devs introduced the MG42 as a new weapon in Season 4 and confirmed "Witch Warden" as a Mythic skin for the new LMG. Activision revealed that the weapon features an animated miniature battlefield across its body, and an exclusive song was created by the legendary composer Hans Zimmer for the camo.
Players still have to wait before the Mythic gets added to the store, but a CoD Mobile leak provided a sneak-peek at what the miniature battlefield weapon inspection animation looks like. In the video shared, the weapon inspection animation features a fully animated cutscene depicting a short snippet of war in which a squadron falls in battle. The cutscene is accompanied by the new Hans Zimmer song, voice lines, and an animation that shows a picture of the fallen squad. CoD Mobile players were blown away that the devs were able to put all of this on a weapon for an inspection animation.
"Inspection animation got a whole cinematic Cutscene," replied one user. That isn't to say this remarkable cosmetic item doesn't come without pitfalls. The animation takes about 30 seconds to play all the way through, making you an easy target while you are staring at your weapon during a match.
"While you're doing that, they've already killed you 50 times," a second player joked. It's unclear when Activision plans to add this cosmetic item to CoD Mobile. Season 4 recently kicked off on April 10, and the devs did not reveal in the announcement blog when this new Mythic will get added.
