Resident Evil Requiem Hanging Fitness Equipment Announced

Resident Evil Requiem hanging fitness equipment bundle releasing in Japan

Capcom has announced that it is working with Yume Group and S.Ride to hold collaboration campaigns celebrating the release of Resident Evil Requiem in Japan. The former will particularly release a special bundle that combines a physical copy of Resident Evil Requiem with its own hanging fitness equipment.

Buyers can choose between a PlayStation 5 Blu-ray disc package or a Nintendo Switch 2 game key card to be bundled in the same box as the fitness equipment. Capcom has also provided a render of Grace trying out the equipment to help Yume Group promote the product.

The Resident Evil Requiem hanging fitness equipment bundle is priced at ¥19,800 (~$127.50), and Yume Group opened pre-orders on its website at 8 AM JST. However, it could only prepare 50 copies of the bundle, and all of those were already sold out in less than half a day.

In the same press release, Capcom also revealed that S.Ride will temporarily launch ten taxis sporting the Resident Evil Requiem promotion livery from February 23 until March 1, 2026. These taxis will run around the cities of Tokyo, Musashino, and Mitaka.

During the above campaign period, the S.Ride app on iOS and Android will feature an Umbrella Corporation icon that users can tap to find and call the specially branded taxi.

Resident Evil Requiem will be available simultaneously worldwide for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 27, 2026. Yume Group will also release its hanging fitness equipment bundle on the same day.

NieR: Automata 9th Anniversary Stream Announced

NieR Automata 9th anniversary stream on 20 February 2026

Square Enix has announced that it will hold a live stream to celebrate the 9th anniversary of NieR: Automata on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 7:30 PM JST (5:30 AM ET). The stream will be available in Japanese worldwide via YouTube, as well as the Japan-exclusive Niconico platform.

This stream will feature four of the game's key staff members: Producer Yosuke Saito, Creative Director Yoko Taro, Composer Keiichi Okabe, and Senior Game Designer Takahisa Taura. The four will hold a lighthearted talk show for around two hours. Square Enix will afterward hold an after-talk session exclusively available to Niconico Premium members. The company has also put up a fine print stating that there will be no new major reveals related to the game series on either stream.

Niconico is also holding a public lottery that give Japanese residents the chance to watch the talk show physically in Tokyo. After closing applications on January 18, 2026, it will inform the winners on January 31, 2026. They must then purchase a ticket for 999 yen (~$6.35) by February 7, 2026, to confirm their attendance.

The 9th anniversary of NieR: Automata will formally fall on February 23, 2026. Square Enix first released the game for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, 2017. NieR: Automata has also since been made available for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is also playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 via backward compatibility.

Venus Vacation Prism Dead Or Alive Xtreme releases as a PC and mobile browser cloud game

Koei Tecmo's Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme is now available as a cloud-based browser game in Japan. It is also the first game TapFun has picked to launch its new platform, where people can easily try out high-spec games via cloud streaming with free and cheap early-hour playthroughs.

Users can check out the first hour of this cloud browser game on a PC or mobile device for free. After that, they must pay at least ¥290 (~$1.85) to continue playing for another 30 minutes.

TapFun's new platform also offers a Title Usage Pass that practically lets users play as long as they want. The pass' price will be the same as the full releases on PC or consoles—¥7,480 (~$48.10) for the regular edition or ¥10,780 (~$69.30) for the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Just like the existing PC and PlayStation releases, the cloud browser version of Venus Vacation Prism has six dateable heroines—Misaki, Fiona, Elise, Tamaki, Honoka, and Nanami. The Digital Deluxe Edition exclusively adds a new set of outfits designed by Yom, along with more photo frames.

Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme is readily available in East and Southeast Asia on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The game is now also accessible on PC and mobile browsers in Japan via TapFun's new platform.
