High on Life 2 is, surprisingly, exactly what a sequel should be. Don't get me wrong, its predecessor is a fun romp through a sci-fi world full of talking guns and obscene jokes, but it's not one of the best FPS games ever made. However, the sequel keeps everything intact, tightening the pacing in the process, while also shoving it on a skateboard. For all intents and purposes, it's more of the same, and that's absolutely refreshing. If you want to get it for cheap, well, here's the best way to get it at a lower price.

I cannot stress how much I detested High on Life when its loser-ass jiggled out of its mum's basement in a suffocating cloud of weed-smoke. Squanch Games' 2022 FPS was a cynical, jabbering mess that overcompensated for its limp gunplay with meandering, interminable stoner humour. Eurogamer's High on Life review rightly lambasted it for its failings, and I personally would have been happy to never look at one of its grinning guns ever again.
After the success of High on Life, Squanch Games is back with a sequel with even more talking guns, high-octane shooting action, and even a skateboard. High on Life 2 is set to release on PC and consoles next year with pre-orders live across all storefronts.
