How do I Redeem Mystery Gift Codes in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet?

The first thing you need to do is unlock the ability to access the Mystery Gift Codes menu, which you can accomplish by reaching a Pokémon center. This will take you about 90-minutes of playtime. Once you have reached the first Pokémon center, you will gain access to the Poké Portal on the menu screen. From here, you have several options to redeem content. Here are the various options you have available to you:

Get via Internet

The Get via Internet option will search for available gifts you can download. You can only download one gift at a time. This option is available for all players and is what you want to use to get the Adventure Set gift.

Get with Code/Password

The Get with Code/Password option allows you to enter a mystery gift code. Once the code has been entered and verified, the gift will download to your game. For example, you want this option to get a Special Pikachu gift using the Mystery Gift code you received via email.

Check Mystery Gifts

The Check Mystery Gifts option will display a list of all Mystery Gifts you have obtained using either of the above methods.

• Special Pikachu (Flying Tera Type) – The Flying Tera Pikachu was a pre-order bonus. You can redeem it as a download through the internet option if you pre-ordered Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, and you will have a chance to grab it.
• Adventure Set – The Adventure Set went out as a special code to players who grabbed the game when it launched when purchased through the Nintendo eShop. You will need to check the email connected to the Nintendo Account and redeem the code.

We will be updating this list as more gifts are available from the Pokémon Company. There won’t be too many redeemable gifts or codes, but there should be a handful of limited-time events for players to receive throughout Scarlet and Violet’s life cycle.

Happy Pokémon Day 2024! This year's celebrations have been capped off with a relatively short Pokémon Presents livestream, showcasing what's in store for the franchise this year and beyond - including Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Though there was no mention of a main game releasing this year, there's a couple of substantial projects to look forward to. Here's a roundup of everything announced during Pokémon Presents for Pokémon Day 2024.

First up, those of you still enjoying Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can challenge a mighty Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard in upcoming Tera Raid battles. Mighty Venusaur will be available from tomorrow, 28th March, for a week, after which mighty Blastoise and mighty Charizard will follow.

The Pokémon Company is bringing its hugely popular Pokémon Center pop-up store back to London for four days this April, with promise of more exclusive Pokémon merchandise.

The Pokémon Center's return to the UK coincides with this year's Pokémon Europe International Championships, which take place at ExCeL London from 4th to 7th April. The store will be open at the venue from 10am to 8pm every day except Sunday, when it's set to close at 4pm.

Previous Pokémon Center pop-ups in the UK have attracted huge crowds, and The Pokémon Company is clearly expecting similar attention this time around. It notes that while entry to the store is open to the general public and won't require a competitor or spectator badge, reservations are mandatory - even for badged attendees. More information on the reservation process is set to be shared "closer to the event".
