Love and Deepspace has kicked off the next big in-game moment and is celebrating Chinese New Year with the arrival of a new 5-Star Memory Series. This year's spring-themed banner is available now until February 27, and it comes with a host of events.

Heartopia has officially shared initial details about its first-ever collaboration event. The game, which launched a month ago to great success on mobile, as well as Steam on PC, has already been a staple among fans of Animal Crossing and The Sims.

Quantic Dream has opened up its upcoming fantasy MOBA for a second closed beta weekend starting from today, January 29, until 9AM UTC on Monday February 2.

Heartopia has officially arrived on Steam, only a little over a week after it launched on iOS and Android. When the game’s release date was announced back in December, developer XD said it was pushing back the Steam release without offering any hints about how long the delay was going to be.

Heartopia, the new cosy life sim from XD Games, has officially arrived on mobile, right on schedule. If you’ve been keeping up with Heartopia news, you’re likely already aware that the game has pushed back its Steam release to an indeterminate point in 2026.

If you can believe it, Love and Deepspace is almost two-years-old, and Infold Games is celebrating the moment in a few major ways. The Throne of Eros update brings the game up to version 5.0, and it’s one for fans of all love interests.

Of all the games released this year, all the triple-A blockbusters and genre-defining smash hits, nothing shook me as much as Umamusume: Pretty Derby. I won't deny that it was once a game I was embarrassed to be playing. But now? I'm all in, dude. I'm an English 27-year-old who is invested in Japanese horse racing. And if you too can push past your misgivings, you'll find one of the better strategy games released this year.

Right, get ready for some chatter about where the contents of our collective wallets have gone over the past year. Valve's list of the highest-grossing games on Steam in 2025 has emerged from the great mists, and in a nice revelation, features a larger number of fresh releases than last year's ranking. That's alongside all of the moderately to quite old stuff which more folks keep hopping on the train of with every passing 12 month period.

One of 2025’s unlikeliest game announcements was Spellcasters Chronicles, a 3v3 MOBA in development at erstwhile singleplayer specialists Quantic Dream. It’s a three-lane magic-slinger starring a selection of flying mages, with an emphasis on summoning creatures to do your structure demolition work for you, and I’ve now played a couple of games ahead of its closed beta on December 4th-8th.
I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about Spellcasters based on the original reveal. And after two games of mostly bodyguarding other, bigger, cooler magical beings, I’m still not convinced. That said, it wasn’t as bad as I’d feared: it makes bold, maybe even brave departures from wizard fight genre conventions, some of which pay off rather nicely.

Love and Deepspace has kicked off its latest Memory Pair event today: Where Silverwings Rest, the new chapter for dragon boy - and now vampire boy - Sylus. There are new Memories to explore, a new Myth - and, of course, a new companion form for him.

Did you know that the Xbox Live Arcade actually started as a disc based distribution service on the original Xbox? Chances are you didn't (though I eagerly await the one person in the comments who stands to correct me), because Microsoft's mini marketplace only gained widespread popularity once it relaunched alongside the release of the Xbox 360. As someone who bought a 360 close to launch, when there weren't a huge amount of games out and backwards compatibility with OG Xbox games was limited, I used to look forward to every single new XBLA drop. I'd snap up whatever was on offer at the time, be it a new title like Zuma or a port of an old school arcade classic like Gauntlet. Some were great, some were bad, but none were ever as truly terrible as Yaris, a game that many regard to be The Worst Game Ever Released(TM) on the Xbox Live Arcade.
