Grand Theft Auto 6 Prices Spotted On Digital Storefront

A digital listing for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been spotted, notably on Xbox. The listing, from Loaded (formerly CD Keys), features a price of £89.99 for the standard version, which would likely equate to $99.99. It also lists a PC version on the Rockstar Games Launcher at £60.99. These prices are likely placeholder figures, especially since Rockstar has yet to confirm a PC version of the upcoming game. As such, the prices should be taken with caution. However, with prices being a long-standing topic of debate among players, and many predicting that GTA 6 could be one of the most expensive games ever, it’s possible the final price may approach $100.

In its recent Q3 earnings results, Take-Two Interactive Software confirmed that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 will begin this summer. This suggests the game remains on track for its November 19 release date, though it does not guarantee it. “Our execution throughout fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach fiscal 2027—which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry—led by the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this summer,” Take-Two Interactive Software said in a press release sent to IGN. In the same IGN report, Take-Two Interactive Software CEO Strauss Zelnick said he felt “very good” about the game’s planned release and denied rumors of a delay to the physical edition.

New Details For An Upcoming God of War Title May Have Been Revealed

According to dataminer and user TheMorse_ on the official God of War Ragnarok subreddit, several hidden cutscenes have been discovered in the game’s files. The cutscenes are reportedly similar to hidden scenes in God of War 2018 that later served as the opening to God of War Ragnarok. One of the alleged cutscenes features “beings from the higher plane,” including Athena, in conversation with Odin and Atreus. Another reportedly shows Atreus traveling to meet beings from other dimensions and encountering a figure known as “Mau,” said to be the Egyptian word for cat and described as a manifestation of the sun god Ra. While proof was shared via a link in the post and several rumors have suggested that an Egyptian-themed entry in the series is in development, these details have not been confirmed by Sony or Santa Monica Studio.

In a recent discussion with Twitch streamer Fuhpuzy on a recent livestream, Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge seemingly revealed more details about upcoming God of War projects. He confirmed that the next God of War trilogy will see TC Carson reprise his role as Kratos. He also teased that an upcoming God of War project, likely the rumored next title from Cory Barlog, will be announced in late summer.

“No, well, it’s going to be TC,” Judge said when asked if he would be reprising the role for the remake. He added that the trilogy will not undergo a reboot. Instead, it will use “new technology” and include “more stuff,” as well as a “new fighting system.” When asked about when he would return to the role of Kratos, Judge said, “Then you’ll be hearing about what we’re doing probably late summer.”

In a recent episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, Tom Henderson claimed that the rumored upcoming installment in the God of War franchise will include a scythe, similar to previous games in the series. “There is a scythe in the game as well.” “It’s interesting. It’s always cool listening to all these rumblings and seeing what actually comes to fruition,” he said. He also noted that while the game was previously rumored to have an Egyptian setting, the next title might take the series back to Greece.

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Santa Monica Studio recently announced God of War Trilogy Remake, a remake of God of War, God of War II, and God of War III. A release date has not been announced, but the title will launch for PlayStation 5.

Ubisoft Confirms Two Far Cry Games And Multiple Assassin’s Creed Games In Development

In a recent interview with Variety, Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that two Far Cry games are currently in development, despite recent restructuring at the company and several canceled and delayed titles. He also confirmed that multiple Assassin’s Creed games are in development.

The two Far Cry projects, previously reported on, are codenamed “Blackbird” and “Maverick.” Blackbird is reportedly the next mainline entry in the series, while Maverick is described as an extraction shooter-style title. Both games have reportedly undergone multiple internal delays and changes. Guillemot added that several Assassin’s Creed titles offering both multiplayer and single-player experiences are in development.

According to a recent Insider Gaming report, which cites anonymous sources, three projects are currently “locked in” at the studio: Invictus, a multiplayer title; Obsidian, a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag scheduled to release later this year; and a third game codenamed Neo, also known as Hexe, which is now slated for release in 2027.

In a report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson last year, several details for multiple of Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed titles were revealed. The report claims that the upcoming title Assassin’s Creed Hexe, will be a linear title with some open world elements. It will allegedly launch at the end of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ post launch content plans which has around two years of DLC support. It will also receive one year of DLC support. According to past reports, the game won’t be an RPG and will have players control a Witch named Elsa.  It’s worth noting these are all rumours and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer Has Retired, Xbox President Sarah Bond Resigns

Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer will retire on February 23. Additionally, Xbox President and Chief Operating Officer Sarah Bond has resigned. Spencer will be replaced by the current president of Microsoft’s CoreAI product as Microsoft Gaming CEO. Current Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty will be promoted to executive vice president and chief content officer. “Last fall, I shared with Satya that I was thinking about stepping back and starting the next chapter of my life,” Spencer said in his official departure memo. “From that moment, we aligned on approaching this transition with intention, ensuring stability, and strengthening the foundation we’ve built.”

The full memo from each member follows from Microsoft:

SATYA NADELLA MESSAGE
Gaming has been part of Microsoft from the start. Flight Simulator shipped before Windows, and you can practically ray‑trace a line from DirectX in the ’90s to the accelerated‑compute era we’re in today.

As we celebrate Xbox’s 25th year, the opportunity and innovation agenda in front of us is expansive. Today we reach over 500 million monthly active users, are a top publisher across all platforms, and continue to innovate across gaming hardware, content, and community, in service of creators and players everywhere.

I am long on gaming and its role at the center of our consumer ambition, and as we look ahead, I’m excited to share that Asha Sharma will become Executive Vice President and CEO, Microsoft Gaming, reporting to me. Over the last two years at Microsoft, and previously as Chief Operating Officer at Instacart and a Vice President at Meta, Asha has helped build and scale services that reach billions of people and support thriving consumer and developer ecosystems. She brings deep experience building and growing platforms, aligning business models to long-term value, and operating at global scale, which will be critical in leading our gaming business into its next era of growth.

Matt Booty will become Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, reporting to Asha. Matt’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to games and to the people who make them. Under his leadership, Microsoft Gaming has grown to span nearly 40 studios across Xbox, Bethesda, Activision Blizzard, and King, which are home to beloved franchises including Halo, The Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Candy Crush, and Fallout.

Together, Asha and Matt have the right combination of consumer product leadership and gaming depth to push our platform innovation and content pipeline forward. Last year, Phil Spencer made the decision to retire from the company, and since then we’ve been talking about succession planning. I want to thank Phil for his extraordinary leadership and partnership. Over 38 years at Microsoft, including 12 years leading Gaming, Phil helped transform what we do and how we do it. He expanded our reach across PC, mobile, and cloud; nearly tripled the size of the business; helped shape our strategy through the acquisitions of Activision Blizzard, ZeniMax, and Minecraft; and strengthened our culture across our studios and platforms. I’ve long admired Phil’s unwavering commitment to players, creators, and his team, and I am personally grateful for his leadership and counsel. He will continue working closely with Asha to ensure a smooth transition.

We have extraordinary creative talent across our studios and a global platform that is second to none. I’m excited for how we will capture the opportunity ahead and define what comes next, while staying grounded in what players and creators value.

Please join me in congratulating Asha and Matt on their new roles, and in thanking Phil for everything he has done for Microsoft and for our industry.

PHIL SPENCER MESSAGE
When I walked through Microsoft’s doors as an intern in June of 1988, I could never have imagined the products I’d help build, the players and customers we’d serve, or the extraordinary teams I’d be lucky enough to join. It’s been an epic ride and truly the privilege of a lifetime.

Last fall, I shared with Satya that I was thinking about stepping back and starting the next chapter of my life. From that moment, we aligned on approaching this transition with intention, ensuring stability, and strengthening the foundation we’ve built. Xbox has always been more than a business. It’s a vibrant community of players, creators, and teams who care deeply about what we build and how we build it. And it deserves a thoughtful, deliberate plan for the road ahead.

Today marks an exciting new chapter for Microsoft Gaming as Asha Sharma steps into the role of CEO, and I want to be the first to welcome her to this incredible team. Working with her over the past several months has given me tremendous confidence. She brings genuine curiosity, clarity and a deep commitment to understanding players, creators, and the decisions that shape our future. We know this is an important moment for our fans, partners, and team, and we’re committed to getting it right. I’ll remain in an advisory role through the summer to support a smooth handoff.

I’m also grateful for the strength of our studios organization. Matt Booty and our studios teams continue to build an incredible portfolio, and I have full confidence in the leadership and creative momentum across our global studios. I want to congratulate Matt on his promotion to EVP and Chief Content Officer.

As part of this transition, Sarah Bond has decided to leave Microsoft to begin a new chapter. Sarah has been instrumental during a defining period for Xbox, shaping our platform strategy, expanding Game Pass and cloud gaming, supporting new hardware launches, and guiding some of the most significant moments in our history. I’m grateful for her partnership and the impact she’s had, and I wish her the very best in what comes next.

Most of all, to everyone in Microsoft Gaming, I want to say “thank you.” I’ve learned so much from this team and community, grown alongside you, and been continually inspired by the creativity, courage, and care you bring to players, creators, and to one another every day.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together over the last 25 years, and I have complete confidence in all of you and in the opportunities ahead. I’ll be cheering you on in this next chapter as Xbox’s proudest fan and player.

Phil

XBL: P3

ASHA SHARMA MESSAGE
Dear team,

Today I begin my role as CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

I feel two things at once: humility and urgency.

Humility because this team has built something extraordinary over decades. Urgency because gaming is in a period of rapid change, and we need to move with clarity and conviction.

I am stepping into work shaped by generations of artists, engineers, designers, writers, musicians, operators and more who create worlds that have brought joy and deep personal meaning to hundreds of millions of players. The level of craft here is exceptional, and it is amplified by Xbox, which was founded in the belief that the power of games connects people and pushes the industry forward.

Thank you to Phil for his leadership, and to every studio, platform, and operations team that built this foundation. We are stewards of some of the most loved stories and characters in entertainment and bring players and creators together around the fun and community of gaming in entirely new ways.

My first job is simple: understand what makes this work and protect it.

That starts with three commitments.

First, great games.

Everything begins here. We must have great games beloved by players before we do anything. Unforgettable characters, stories that make us feel, innovative game play, and creative excellence. We will empower our studios, invest in iconic franchises, and back bold new ideas. We will take risks. We will enter new categories and markets where we can add real value, grounded in what players care about most.

I promoted Matt Booty in honor of this commitment. He understands the craft and the challenges of building great games, has led teams that deliver award-winning work, and has earned the trust of game developers across the industry.

Second, the return of Xbox.

We will recommit to our core Xbox fans and players, those who have invested with us for the past 25 years, and to the developers who build the expansive universes and experiences that are embraced by players across the world.

We will celebrate our roots with a renewed commitment to Xbox starting with console which has shaped who we are. It connects us to the players and fans who invest in Xbox, and to the developers who build ambitious experiences for it.

Gaming now lives across devices, not within the limits of any single piece of hardware. As we expand across PC, mobile, and cloud, Xbox should feel seamless, instant, and worthy of the communities we serve. We will break down barriers so developers can build once and reach players everywhere without compromise.

Third, future of play.

We are witnessing the reinvention of play.

To meet the moment, we will invent new business models and new ways to play by leaning into what we already have: iconic teams, characters, and worlds that people love. But we will not treat those worlds as static IP to milk and monetize. We will build a shared platform and tools that empower developers and players to create and share their own stories.

As monetization and AI evolve and influence this future, we will not chase short-term efficiency or flood our ecosystem with soulless AI slop. Games are and always will be art, crafted by humans, and created with the most innovative technology provided by us.

The next 25 years belong to the teams who dare to build something surprising, something no one else is willing to try, and have the patience to see it through. We have done this before, and I am here to help us do it again. I want to return to the renegade spirit that built Xbox in the first place. It will require us to relentlessly question everything, revisit processes, protect what works, and be brave enough to change what does not.

Thank you for welcoming me into this journey.

Asha

MATT BOOTY MESSAGE
I read Phil’s note with much gratitude. He has been a steady champion for game creators and our studio teams, and I’ve learned so much from his leadership over the years. All our games have benefited from his foundational support. I’m also grateful to Satya for his ongoing commitment to gaming and holding a vision of how it can connect back to the larger company.

Looking forward, I’m excited to partner with Asha as our next CEO. Our first conversations centered on her commitment to making great games and the role that plays in our overall success. She asks questions, pushes for clarity, and wants our choices grounded in player and developer needs. That mindset matters as the industry around us is changing quickly: how players engage, how games are made, and how business models and platforms evolve.

We have good reasons to believe in what’s ahead. This organization and its franchises have navigated change for decades, and our strength comes from teams who know how to adapt and keep delivering. That confidence is grounded in a strong pipeline of established franchises, new bets we believe in, and clear player demand for what we are building.

My focus is on supporting the teams and leaders we have in place and creating the conditions for them to do their best work. To be clear, there are no organizational changes underway for our studios.

Thanks for everything you do for players and for each other.

Matt

Bond shared her full memo to her Xbox team on LinkedIn.

“Hi team,

I know there’s a lot of news to take in today.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together over the past eight-plus years. PC and cloud gaming are growing faster than ever, our next console is well underway, and together we’ve helped lay the foundation for a more open gaming platform that spans devices and reaches players around the world.

When we announced our intention to acquire Activision Blizzard in 2022, I committed to helping lead Xbox through what would be a critical period of change. Over the past four years, we’ve navigated that moment together and positioned the business for what comes next. We took on some of the biggest challenges this organization has ever faced and did it as one team.

With that, I’ve decided this is the right time for me to take my next step, both personally and professionally. We’re living through a transformative technological era that will shape the next generation of our industry, and I’m energized by what’s ahead. This moment also presents a unique opportunity for fresh eyes and new leadership to guide the team into its next chapter. I’ve had the privilege of spending time with Asha over the last few weeks as we’ve planned for this transition, and I’ve seen firsthand her deep commitment to our players, developers, and brand. She brings deep technology and commerce experience, along with a strong track record of building and scaling platforms that the world uses. Xbox deserves this. I’m excited to see her lead this next chapter for our team. I’ll remain on as a Special Advisor to Asha to help ensure a smooth transition and set the organization up for continued success.

I want to thank Phil for his mentorship and friendship over the years. He’s been a consistent champion of this business and the people who make it what it is, and I’ve learned a great deal from the way he leads through both opportunity and challenge. I’m grateful for his trust and support throughout my time on the team. I also want to thank Satya for his sponsorship and support throughout my time at Microsoft.

As I prepare to sign off, I’ve been reflecting on three simple questions I’ve tried to use to guide my days:

Did I bring my best?
Did I help someone else succeed?
Did I do my best work?

I hope the answer has been yes for many of you. It’s been a privilege to work alongside this team.

Always,
Sarah”

Despite Layoffs, Splinter Cell Remake Is Still In Development

According to a new statement from a Ubisoft spokesperson provided to IGN, the company has confirmed that 40 employees have been laid off at Ubisoft Toronto. Despite the layoffs, development of the upcoming Splinter Cell game remains unaffected.

“Following the recent announcement of the final phase of Ubisoft’s global cost-savings plan and the discontinuation of projects, Ubisoft Toronto will be reducing its workforce by 40 roles,” the spokesperson said. “This decision was not taken lightly and does not in any way reflect the talent, dedication, or contributions of the individuals affected. Our priority now is to support them through this transition with comprehensive severance packages and robust career placement assistance.”

“The Toronto studio continues development on the Splinter Cell game and serves as a co-development partner on Rainbow Six, along with supporting additional co-development projects,” the spokesperson added.

According to a report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson back in September, Splinter Cell Remake are scheduled to launch sometime between 2026 and 2027. The publisher notably confirmed earlier this year that the next Ghost recon is in development. However, it’s worth noting Ubisoft has yet to confirm any release windows for these titles so these claims should be taken with a grain of salt. According to a scriptwriter job listing back in 2022, the upcoming Splinter Cell remake will have “new-generation visuals and gameplay” while retaining the “spirit” of the earlier games. A previous rumor from the same publication also claimed it may launch in 2026.

Nioh 3 Is The Fastest Selling Title In The Series

Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team NINJA announced that total sales for Nioh 3 have surpassed one million units worldwide. It achieved this milestone faster than any previous entry in the series, making it the fastest-selling title in the franchise. Total sales for the series have now exceeded ten million units worldwide. Nioh 3 launched on February 6 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. An accolades trailer highlighting the game’s positive critical reception was also released.

The game’s details:

Conquer the crucible, become shogun.

Overcome difficult challenges in an open field.

This game is set in an open field, in which players can freely explore, while enjoying the unique tension that accompanies all Nioh titles. Face formidable encounters with powerful yokai, explore villages where suspicious beings lurk, take on the daunting challenges of The Crucible, and enjoy the thrilling, hostile new environments as you fight to survive the cursed kingdom!

Two Styles: Samurai and Ninja

In Nioh 3, players can enjoy two different fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja.

Based on the tendencies of the enemies and stages, players can switch seamlessly between Samurai and Ninja techniques instantly at any time, or choose to fight using only one style continuously based on the challenge ahead. Feel free to play with the style you like best.

Samurai Style – This style provides a gameplay experience similar to previous Nioh titles. New actions such as “Arts Proficiency”, which enhances the power of martial arts, and “Deflect”, which allows players to block enemy attacks at the last moment, have been added, helping create a series of intense and deadly face-to-face confrontations.

Ninja Style – This style excels in quick movements like dodging and aerial actions, giving ninjas the advantage of being able to attack from outside of the enemy’s range by utilizing a variety of “Ninjutsu” techniques according to the situation on the battlefield. Players have the ability to use techniques like “Mist”, which leaves a clone after an attack, and “Evade”, which allows for narrowly avoiding enemy strikes. Both techniques help players outmaneuver foes while delivering devastating speed attacks from behind.

Online Multiplayer

Players will now be able to assist and seek help from other players through the “Summon Visitor” mode, or even explore the open field with others through the online multiplayer mode “Expeditions”, popular in the previous entries of the Nioh series.

This feature will come in handy to those who have reached a stalemate playing solo, or those who would like to overcome challenges together.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Will Shut Down Bluepoint Games

In a recent Bloomberg report, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that it will shut down Bluepoint Games, the developer behind the Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus remakes. The studio will close in March. Bluepoint Games was acquired by Sony in September 2021, about a year after the release of the Demon’s Souls remake. Following the acquisition, the studio worked as a co-developer on God of War Ragnarok and was also involved in an unannounced God of War live-service game, which was canceled in January 2025.

The full email to employees regarding the studio closure from Sony from Sony Interactive Entertainment Studio Business Group CEO Hermen Hulst:

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share an important update from the Studio Business.

As I mentioned in the December Town Hall, 2025 had some strong highlights within PlayStation Studios. Ghost of Yotei launched to critical and commercial success, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach further showcased our commitment to narrative excellence, and Helldivers II and MLB The Show continue to drive on-going player engagement and revenue.

At the same time, we’re operating in an increasingly challenging industry environment. Rising development costs, slowed industry growth, changing player behavior, and broader economic headwinds are making it harder to build games sustainably.

To navigate this reality, we need to continue adapting and evolving. We’ve taken a close look at our business to ensure we’re delivering today while still well-positioned for the future. As a result, we will be closing Bluepoint Games in March.

This decision was not made lightly. Bluepoint is an incredibly talented team and their technical expertise has delivered exceptional experiences for the PlayStation community. I want to thank everyone at Bluepoint for their creativity, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality. Where possible, we will work to find opportunities for some impacted employees within our global network of studios.

While I know this is hard news to hear, I’m confident in the direction we’re headed. Creativity, innovation, and building unforgettable experiences for players remain at the heart of PlayStation Studios. We have a robust roadmap for fiscal year 26, with much to look forward to in the months ahead.

Thank you for your hard work and continued support.

Baldur’s Gate III Will Not Be Coming To Nintendo Switch 2

In a recent Reddit thread, when asked if Baldur’s Gate III would launch for Nintendo Switch 2, Larian CEO Swen Vincke responded, saying, “We would have loved to, but it wasn’t our decision to make.” No further details were provided. Insider NateTheHate expanded on Vincke’s comment via Twitter, stating, “This is the unfortunate truth. While Larian would love to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to the Switch 2… their relationship with Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast is not healthy.” The reasons behind the strained relationship between the two companies remain publicly unknown. Baldur’s Gate III is available now for PC and Mac via Steam and GOG, as well as for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

This is the unfortunate truth.

Baldur’s Gate III details via the developer:

Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.

Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.

From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin II comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

Gather Your Party

Choose from a wide selection of Dungeons & Dragons races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.

An Expansive Original Story

Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.

Next-Generation RPG

Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate III gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.

No Adventure Will Be the Same

The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you—verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

Online Multiplayer for Up to Four Players – Allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
Origin Characters – Offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.

Evolved Turn-Based Combat – Based on the Dungeons & Dragons 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
Define the Future of the Forgotten Realms – Through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.

Player-Initiated Turn-Based Mode – Allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness—create your own luck!

One Million ARC Raiders Players Have Reportedly Wiped Their Accounts

In a recent interview, Embark Studios revealed that just over a million players participated in the recent ‘Expedition Project’ for ARC Raiders. This mechanic allows players to reset their accounts at the end of the expedition, giving them the opportunity to start the game afresh. According to the developer, the mechanic will recur every two to three months. Given the game’s reported 12 million units sold, however, one million participants is relatively low. The Expedition Project involves players collecting items and completing tasks to exit the safe zone, with the reward being a new character to start the journey from scratch.

The game’s details:

Enlist

ARC Raiders is a cooperative third-person shooter where you and your squad of Raiders unite to resist the onslaught of ARC—a ruthless, mechanized threat descending from space.

You play as one of the Raiders, a rogue group of resistance fighters. With the help of a patchwork early warning system, you fight to protect our home against enemies dropping from orbit. ARC is faceless and unfeeling, but no one could accuse ARC of being unresponsive. In fact, ARC responds to resistance with ever-increasing destruction.

Resist

As a Raider, you know that defeating ARC requires more than simply pointing and shooting a gun, and more than one person trying to be a hero. When ARC is around, lone wolves never make it very far.

As underdogs, we need to believe in something bigger than our own strength, in something unapologetically human. That’s why we come together. United amid the unlikelihood of success, what seemed implausible may just become the best course of action. So, by all means, come prepared and plan ahead, but sometimes you just have to wing it.

Jump right into the fray in a free-to-play world.

Scavenge the ruins of the past. Wield tools and gadgets to outsmart the enemy. Use on-the-fly tactics, your surroundings, and physics to your advantage. If you and your squad play well together, one day the stars may again become beacons of hope, instead of omens of oblivion.

Reimagine the Third-Person Shooter – Go beyond simply matching ammo to a weapon. Experience action where combat demands unrehearsed creativity.
Reimagine Cooperation – ARC pursues you relentlessly, but together you can overcome these faceless foes. Fight, flee, and fine-tune, shoulder to shoulder with your squad.

Larian Studios Says It Wont Be Using AI tools For Divinity’s Development

Following scrutiny over revealing that the studio uses generative AI as a reference tool for concept art, Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke revealed in a recent Reddit AMA that the studio will not be using AI for its upcoming game Divinity.

“So first off – there is not going to be any GenAI art in Divinity,” Vincke said. “I know there’s been a lot of discussion about us using AI tools as part of concept art exploration. We already said this doesn’t mean the actual concept art is generated by AI, but we understand it created confusion. “So, to ensure there is no room for doubt, we’ve decided to refrain from using genAI tools during concept art development. That way, there can be no discussion about the origin of the art.”

However, Vincke also stated that Larian will continue to explore ways to improve development efficiency. He explained that the studio still intends to use AI tools in other areas to help speed up iteration and experimentation. “The more iterations we can do, the better, in general, the gameplay is,” he continued. “We think GenAI can help with this, and so we’re trying things out across departments. Our hope is that it can aid us to refine ideas faster, leading to a more focused development cycle, less waste, and ultimately, a higher-quality game.” During The Game Awards, Larian Studios announced Divinity, a new game in the series set in the world of Rivellon. The studio claims that it is its “most ambitious title yet.”
