Battlefield 6 is about to receive a new update. Version 1.1.3.0 is set to arrive tomorrow, December 9 to kick off the third and final phase of the game’s first season. Winter Offensive brings some holiday-themed new content to the game, but it’s not the most interesting part of the patch.
Battlefield Studios is seemingly trying something different with Battlefield 6’s next patch, which everyone assumed would be a standard, mid-season update not intended to change the game significantly.
Battlefield Studios has released exciting new seasonal content for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC with the launch of Season 1 – California Resistance. Alongside this, players can experience a free trial of Battlefield 6 from November 25 to December 2, featuring 5 modes and 3 maps, giving newcomers a week of high-octane multiplayer action at…
Presumably as a way of marching ever forward towards its (alleged) 100 million player goal for Battlefield 6, EA has announced that the multiplayer shooter will be getting its first free trial later this month.
Battlefield 6’s first season has entered its second phase. The game received a major update earlier today, version 1.1.2.0, which delivers a host of changes to the game, many of which have been expected.
EA and Battlefield Studios didn't just deliver a solid multiplayer experience that players know the Battlefield series for in Battlefield 6. Battlefield Studios has also come up with its response to Call of Duty: Warzone with a new free-to-play battle royale mode called Battlefield REDSEC. After years of battle royale modes being extremely popular, there's a lot that should already be second-nature to anyone jumping into Battlefield REDSEC, like keeping track of your ammo, making sure to find armor, and staying with your squad to have the best chance of staying alive. All of those general tips apply to Battlefield […]
After months of playtesting in Battlefield Labs, Battlefield's free-to-play battle royale component is ready for the masses.

Info about RedSec (short for Redacted Sector) has been steadily leaking over the past few months, with ModernWarzone spearheading the report that the game would be releasing with season one as a shadow-drop. It's now confirmed, and it's not too late to call in sick to work.
RedSec will feature Battlefield 6 gameplay alongside "the deadliest ring" in BR that will kill players on contact. The mode features its own map along with vehicles, environmental destruction, squad play with role-specific abilities, and more.
Like BF6, RedSec will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It's assumed that it may share some progression and unlockables with the base game, but official details are yet to be announced. Players will not need to ownBF6to play RedSec, though, as the BR mode is a fully free-to-play experience similar to Call of Duty's Warzone.
Battlefield 6 has been a real triumph so far; a return to bombastic brilliance for a series that has brought us some of the best FPS games of all time. To supplement this, its developer has deployed its contender to Call of Duty Warzone. Battlefield Redsec is a free-to-play companion to BF6 that includes a battle royale and a gauntlet mode where teams race to complete challenges, and it’s largely a good twist on the formula, even if its Steam reviews might tell you otherwise. But it’s not for everyone, and Battlefield Studios has just responded to complaints that challenges were pushing the mode on them with a very welcome change.
