Final Fantasy creator's Fantasian heads to Switch after Apple exclusivity

Fantasian, the RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, is heading to Switch this winter.

The game has been an Apple Arcade exclusive since it launched in 2021.

Now it's heading to Switch with the name Fantasian Neo Dimension, as revealed during today's Nintendo Direct.

Legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu probably won't compose the score for a whole game again.

The composer was interviewed by German publication Zeit Online (via VGC) ahead of his new orchestral piece Merregnon: Heart of Ice and discussed whether he might compose an entire score in future.

"As far as Final Fantasy is concerned, I'm still involved by writing the main themes for the games," he said. "But I don't think I'll compose music for a whole game again.

Final Fantasy’s legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu doesn’t have the ‘strength’ to score a full video game again

Nobuo Uematsu, the celebrated composer behind the iconic soundtracks for much of the Final Fantasy series, has said he probably won’t score a full video game again. While Uematsu didn’t rule out creating the main themes for future games, he said that his days of scoring an entire game are likely over - leaving his last complete soundtrack as the OST for mobile-exclusive RPG Fantasian.
