We’re in the second half of the year and we’ve already seen plenty of leaks about next-generation flagship phones. Now, a long-time leaker has posted images showing what these new-generation phones could look like.

Digital Chat Station posted drawings showing off numerous upcoming flagship phones from various Chinese manufacturers. For starters, the tipster posted images of what appears to be the OPPO Find X8 Ultra and vivo X200 series.

The Hasselblad logo and alert slider suggest we’re indeed looking at the Find X8 Ultra. Meanwhile, the logo in the center of the apparent vivo phone has the same shape as the ZEISS logo used on vivo X series devices.

Digital Chat Station also posted an image showing four upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship phones from various sub-brands. Check out the picture below.

The tipster didn’t dish out any names, but some followers have surmised that we’re looking at devices from Redmi, Realme, Iqoo, and OnePlus, respectively. Other followers have swapped Realme and OnePlus, which makes sense as there doesn’t appear to be an alert slider on the fourth phone. Nevertheless, Iqoo also makes sense as the third phone given the brand’s propensity for squircle-shaped camera housings.

In any event, Qualcomm and MediaTek are tipped to launch their next-generation flagship processors in October. Digital Chat Station claimed that a variety of OEMs will launch phones powered by these chips in October and November. They specifically pointed to the Redmi K80 series, vivo X200 range, OPPO Find X8 family, Xiaomi 15 series, Iqoo 13, OnePlus 13, Realme GT7 Pro, and HONOR Magic 7 phones. Global availability is another story, though.

Telefony Reno12 i Reno12 Pro představují nejnovější generaci, která se vyznačuje futuristickým fluidním (měňavým, chcete-li) designem se skvělým novým vzhledem a vysoce odolným slitinovým rámečkem. Tyto dva modely využívají zbrusu novou mobilní platformu MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy se 4nm výrobním procesem, vytvořenou exkluzivně společnostmi MediaTek a OPPO. Platforma zajišťuje mimořádnou energetickou efektivitu.

Modely Reno12 a Reno12 Pro představují novou kapitolu populární řady Reno a jde o první produkty uvedené v rámci závazku urychlit zavádění telefonů s AI mezi širší veřejnost. „Věříme, že trend umělé inteligence představuje zásadní změnu a smartphony jsou ideálními zařízeními pro přístup k mobilní AI i jejímu využití,“ řekl Bingo Liu, generální ředitel společnosti OPPO Europe.

Z rozmanité nabídky produktů má řada Reno pro Evropu zvláštní význam. V roce 2019 se OPPO Reno 5G stal prvním komerčně dostupným 5G smartphonem v Evropě. Během uplynulých pěti let se do rukou zákazníků dostalo úctyhodných 100 milionů smartphonů.

Zrychlení nástupu telefonů s AI

Začátkem letošního roku společnost OPPO nastínila svůj závazek zpřístupnit možnosti AI více lidem, a to nejen v rámci špičkových vlajkových smartphonů. V rámci tohoto úsilí se OPPO spojilo se společnostmi Google, Microsoft, MediaTek i dalšími partnery, aby tím nástup nové generace telefonů s AI urychlilo.

Reno12 a Reno12 Pro přinášejí sadu průlomových funkcí GenAI pro každodenní použití. Díky aktualizované funkci AI Eraser mohou uživatelé jednoduchým klepnutím odstranit z fotografií kolemjdoucí cizince nebo třeba rušivé objekty, protože je tato funkce dokáže automaticky rozpoznat.

Oba telefony jsou také vybavené dvěma funkcemi AI, speciálně navrženými pro vylepšení skupinových fotografií. Funkce AI Clear Face zajistí všem účastníkům skupinového snímku stejné vylepšení díky obnově detailů, jako jsou kontury obličeje, vlasů i obočí, ve vysokém rozlišení, aby byly výjimečně čistě zachycené i osoby stojící dále od fotoaparátu. AI Best Face přitom dokáže automaticky identifikovat osoby se zavřenýma očima a pomocí pokročilé technologie AI jim oči znovu otevřít, takže žádný skupinový snímek nepřijde nazmar.

Aplikace AI Studio se přizpůsobí fantazii a dokáže vytvořit digitální avatary nebo umělecké portréty pomocí jediné fotografie. Uživatelé si mohou představit sami sebe jako kovboje, hvězdy cyberpunkové mangy nebo použít mnoho dalších stylů využívajících možnosti GenAI.

Kromě vylepšení fotografií využívají aplikace v telefonech Reno12 a Reno12 Pro také další možnosti AI pro zvýšení efektivity a podporu kreativity. Nástroj AI Toolbox, který je postavený na rozsáhlém jazykovém modelu (LLM) Google Gemini, je novým přírůstkem do chytrého postranního panelu. Přináší funkce jako AI Write, AI Speak a AI Summary, které využívají výkonné rozpoznávací schopnosti k pochopení obsahu zobrazeného na displeji. Podle toho pak doporučují funkce AI, jako jsou rychlé generování obsahu pro sociální média nebo shrnutí dlouhých článků.

V aplikaci Recording mohou nyní uživatelé používat také nový nástroj AI Recording Summary, který generuje textové shrnutí z hlasového záznamu a uspořádá ho do poznámek. Informace jako seznamy úkolů, časy, místa i další podrobnosti jsou pro lepší přehled zvýrazněné a vhodně naformátované.

Zachycení životních okamžiků s funkcí AI Portrait Expert

Hlavní fotoaparát smartphonů je vybavený snímačem Sony LYT-600 s full-pixel všesměrovým automatickým ostřením a optickou stabilizací obrazu. Snímač mimo jiné nabízí rychlejší i stabilnější ostření pro jasnější snímky. Oba modely jsou také vybavené portrétním režimem s až dvojnásobným zoomem pro snadné pořizování portrétů s bohatým bokeh efektem, které se vyrovnají portrétům pořízeným profesionálními fotoaparáty.

Reno12 Pro posouvá profesionální portrétní zážitek díky 50Mpx teleobjektivu portrétního fotoaparátu s dvojnásobným optickým zoomem a novému 50Mpx selfie fotoaparátu s automatickým ostřením. S novými efekty AI Portrait Retouching lze pořídit portrétní selfie snímky s využitím umělé inteligence.

Oba telefony mají vylepšenou funkci Flash Snapshot, která svižněji upravuje expoziční proces fotoaparátu, a umožňuje tak zachytit realističtější světelné efekty i přirozené odstíny pleti. Zadní i přední fotoaparát pořizuje také záznam videa v rozlišení 4K při 30 snímcích za sekundu, tedy ve čtyřikrát vyšším rozlišení než má 1080p video.

Delší životnost baterie, rychlejší nabíjení

Cílená optimalizace struktury anody a katody v baterii telefonů Reno12 a Reno12 Pro pomohla vytvořit 5 000mAh baterii s dosud nejvyšší energetickou hustotou v telefonech řady Reno. Zajišťuje prodlouženou životnost baterie a čtyři roky optimálního stavu baterie bez nutnosti zvětšení velikosti baterie nebo telefonů.

S 80W bleskurychlým nabíjením OPPO SUPERVOOCTM u obou modelů lze tuto baterii nabít z 1 % na 49 % za pouhých 18 minut, přičemž k úplnému 100% nabití stačí pouhých 46 minut.

Podle laboratorní simulace denního chování uživatele (plné nabíjení a vybíjení jednou denně) si baterie po 4 letech používání zachová více než 80 % kapacity. Údaje byly získané z laboratoří OPPO a budou se mírně lišit v důsledku verze testovacího softwaru a specifického testovacího prostředí.

Údaje vycházejí z testů provedených v laboratořích OPPO. Skutečná doba nabíjení se může lišit v závislosti na rozdílech v prostředí nebo jednotlivých zařízeních (např. kolísání teploty a stáří baterie).

Cena a dostupnost

Nové smartphony OPPO Reno12 5G a Reno12 Pro 5G budou v České republice v prodeji od 1. července u vybraných partnerů. Reno12 5G bude k dispozici v černohnědé a stříbrné barvě za doporučenou cenu 12 490 Kč. Reno12 Pro 5G bude za cenu 14 990 Kč k dispozici v černé a stříbrné barvě.

K novým modelům řady Reno poskytuje výrobce záruku prodlouženou o 1 rok, tedy celkem na 3 roky (platí i pro telefony pořízené do firem s odpočtem DPH). Současně platí u obou modelů roční záruka na rozbití displeje.

After reaching a deal with Nokia, and resolving any patent disputes Nokia had against it, OPPO was expected to return to Europe. Now the Android phone maker has announced its comeback.

According to Max Jambor, OPPO released a statement confirming it is headed back to the region it left not long ago. It adds that all countries it operated in before will start getting its products again.

OPPO will form a 3-year strategic alliance with Telefónica group, strengthening its expansion in Europe.

The company was forced to exit the market due to lawsuits from Nokia over the use of 5G patents in its devices. At the time, OPPO claimed it was only temporarily halting operations in the region as it negotiated with Nokia.

Today, OPPO announced it is taking a serious step into generative AI with the creation of a dedicated AI center. According to the press release, this AI department will focus on the research and development of AI and its applications to deliver user-centric AI features and products.

Oppo is one of the handful of companies making foldable phones. Like all of them, it aims to challenge Samsung's dominance of the foldable phone market. The company has launched a few models so far and the reactions have been mixed.

A recent rumor, a rather outlandish one at that, claimed that Oppo was giving up on foldable phones because it wasn't seeing a lot of demand for them. Vivo was also named in that rumor with a similar claim that it was no longer going to make foldables. Oppo has now gone on the record to deny the rumor, saying that it's committed to making foldable phones.

Oppo isn't exiting the foldable phone market

In a statement provided to GSMArena, a spokesperson for the company said: “Oppo's dedication to the continuous development of foldable smartphone technology remains unchanged.” The company has effectively rubbished these rumors and assured its fans that Oppo foldable phones aren't going anywhere.

Oppo is one of the few Chinese manufacturers that sell their phones outside the People's Republic. Huawei is one of the leading manufacturers of foldable phones in China but its troubles limit the sale of its devices largely to its home country. That's prevented Huawei from achieving a larger footprint for its foldable.

Nevertheless, these devices have yet to become serious challengers for Samsung's popular Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip lineups. These are the devices people immediately think of when you mention a foldable phone, so Samsung has clearly been able to win the attention of the market, so much so that foldables are now instantly associated with its brand.

Oppo hanging around and continuing to compete against Samsung is good for Samsung fans also. It will keep the company on its toes and provide it with the heat to keep pushing the envelope. Ultimately, it's the consumers that benefit from the improved products at competitive prices.
