WWE 2K24 has unbanned modder WhatsTheStatus following complaints from its community.

WhatsTheStatus - who was banned last week for "violation of terms" - revealed on Twitter/X that, after speaking with 2K and the WWE team, they had "come to an agreement, and a fair one at that".

Originally, 2K and/or developer Visual Concepts was unhappy with WhatsTheStatus' mods, saying that as they "negatively impact the game experience for other players", the modder was banned in order to ensure there is a "positive WWE 2K24 experience for all players".

The WWE 2K24 DLC release schedule is packed, with players getting something new for the game almost monthly for most of 2024.

Publisher 2K always ensures there's a decent lineup of post-launch content for the annual WWE 2K releases. They give you something to look forward to outside of the core gameplay and help mix up tired old modes with new characters, allowing you to recreate your favorite WWE moments. This year is no different, and WWE 2K24 has a schedule of DLC that will take you through to Christmas 2024.

Below, I've listed all the WWE 2K24 DLC that we know of, when each piece is releasing, and what you'll get with each. Every pack is basically a set of new characters for you to play around with, so if you see something you like, make a note in your calendar so you don't miss it. All of these packs are part of the game's season pass, so if you own it, you'll be entitled to all of them as they come out.

Note that all MyFACTION characters are cards exclusive to this game mode. You'll be able to add them to your MyFACTION roster, but as far as I'm aware, they won't appear as playable wrestlers unless otherwise specified.

All of these packs will be available for purchase upon release individually. You don't have to purchase the season pass to get them. This is great if you're holding off and relying on Locker Codes until the DLC is discounted.

However, depending on how much you play the game, it might be more beneficial to you as a player to have the season pass, so you can get each DLC pack as it launches without ever needing to think about downloading them.

What are the new WWE 2K24 locker codes? One of the many modes in WWE's latest wrestling game is the returning MyFaction mode. For those who don't know, this is a variant on the premium mode from other 2K sports games, where the aim is to build a faction of wrestlers to take on online challenges against AI or matches against other player-controlled teams.

These WWE 2K24 locker codes are specifically for the MyFaction mode, so if you're looking for other WWE 2K24 unlockables, then we have a separate guide to help you get all the Wrestlemania arenas and MyRise unlockables, as well as the ability to play as all the WWE Legends. Instead, these WWE 2K24 codes work similarly to the NBA 2K24 locker codes, which tend to come and go quickly. Popular WWE 2k24 modder Status was banned from the game and their creations taken offline earlier this week, with an in-game message stating that the cause was violation of the game's End User License Agreement. WWE 2K24 players have discovered footage of former WWE boss Vince McMahon has been blurred out in the game, following confirmation he would not be a playable wrestler.

McMahon had previously been expected to appear in the game's roster, but publisher 2K confirmed both McMahon and Brock Lesnar had been cut after allegations of sexual assault and trafficking against the former were made earlier this year.

Despite this, McMahon appears in some parts of the game's showcase mode, which allows players to play through iconic moments in WrestleMania history. The showcase includes real footage and in-game recreations of the events, with McMahon censored in some places.

Pulling off moves, Finishers, combo, and even just basic movement can be harder than you imagine. After all, this brand of wrestling game always has a very in-depth control system.

In this guide, we’ll tell you all the important controls and basics you’ll need to enter the ring!

WWE 2K24: Controls Guide

Basics | Strikes, Movement, and More

• Walk – Push the Left Stick. The further you push, the faster you move.
• Run – Hold LT (Xbox) or L2 (PlayStation), then push the Left Stick.
• Dodge – Push the Left Stick and then press RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation) to dodge in that direction.
• Block – Hold down Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to assume a blocking stance.
• Light Strike – X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation. Moving the Left Stick will alter your strikes depending on directions.
• Heavy Strike – A on Xbox, X on PlayStation. Just like Light Strikes, pushing the Left Stick will alter the attack depending on what direction you push.
• Grapple – B on Xbox, Circle on PlayStation. Press the Light or Heavy Strike buttons to perform follow-up attacks. Pushing the Left Stick will also alter the attacks you do.

• Carry or Drag – After a successful grapple, press RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation). You can end the carry by pressing Light Strike or Heavy Strike to do an attack.
• Escape Carry – If you’re the unfortunate soul being carried, you’ll need to mash the Grapple button to escape.
• Running Strike – Press either the Light Strike, Heavy Strike, or Grapple button while you’re running.
• Pick Up Object – Press LB (Xbox) or L1 (PlayStation) while you’re near a weapon or object.
• Throw Object – While holding an object or weapon, push the Left Stick in a direction and press the Grapple button to throw it.
• Taunt – Press Left, Up, or Right on the Directional Pad to perform different taunts. Flaunt your style before you beat your opponent!

Beat Them While They’re Down

• Grounded Attacks – You can beat down a downed opponent by pressing Light Strike, Heavy Strike, or Grapple. Which button you press alters the attack type, based on what position the opponent is in.
• Flip Downed Opponent – Push the Right Stick to the left or right near a downed opponent to give them a kick and make them flip over to the other side.
• Pin – Push the Right Stick down when you’re close to a downed opponent to attempt a pin.
• Lift Opponent – Press the Right Stick up when you’re close to a downed opponent to force them to stand up.
• Submission – Hold RT + B (Xbox) or R2 + Circle (PlayStation) near a downed opponent to try to force them into submission.

Learn to Use the Ropes

• Enter and Exit Ring – Push the Left Stick towards the ropes and press RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation). Press the button once to get on the apron, hold it to fully exit the ring.
• Apron Moves – You can do a lot of different moves while you’re on the apron by pressing Light Strike, Heavy Strike, or Grapple. These vary drastically based on your opponent’s positioning.
• Climb the Corner – Run towards the corner you want to climb to climb it automatically.
• Dive Strike – Press Light Strike or Heavy Strike while you stand on a corner.

• Springboard – Approach the ropes, push the Left Stick toward them and press LB (Xbox) or L1 (PlayStation). Then, press the Light Strike button.
  • You can also do Springboard moves by simply pressing LB + X (Xbox) or L1 + Square (PlayStation) while on the Apron.
• Dive Attack – Run toward the ropes and press the Light Strike button to do a dive attack while exiting the ring.
• Irish Whip – Grab an opponent with a Grapple then push the Left Stick in the direction you want and press the Grapple button again. Hold the Grapple button for a stronger Irish Whip.
• Pull Back Strike – As soon as you perform an Irish Whip, press either Light Strike or Heavy Strike before you throw your opponent. You’ll pull them back for a smackdown instead!
• Rebound Strike – Make your opponent bounce off the ropes with an Irish Whip, then press either Light Strike, Heavy Strike, or Grapple as they bounce toward you.

Special Moves | Signatures and Finishers

Signature Move – First, make sure your Special Gauge is full. It’s the blue gauge below your character’s Health. If it is, press RT + X (Xbox) or R2 + Square (PlayStation) when your opponent is in the right position.

Now, the “right position” is going to depend heavily on who you’re playing as. You can check the conditions by pausing the game and going into “Moves”, though!

Payback Moves – These highly customizable moves can be pulled off by pressing RT + Y (Xbox) or R2 + Triangle (PlayStation) in the right conditions.

You can see your current Payback Moves and their conditions from the Moves screen in the pause menu.

Finisher Move – To use these, you need at least one Finisher Charge. These are the yellow bars below your character’s Health. If you have one, press RT + A (Xbox) or R2 + X (PlayStation).

Just like with Signature Moves, the exact conditions to trigger these moves vary a lot. As always, though, you can see them in the “Moves” section of the pause menu.

Some Finishers can also be charged to make them stronger. Just hold the input when you land the Finisher instead of just pressing it.

Some characters also have Super Finisher Moves, which work pretty much the same. The only difference is that you’ll need three Finisher Charges to use them!

Sometimes you just want to grab a fool and slam them into the ground, which is exactly what you can do when you carry opponents in WWE 2K24.

Carrying opponents opens up a lot of possibilities to perform brutal finishing moves, plus it just looks extra flashy!

In this short guide, we’ll tell you everything there is to know about this mechanic so you can start carrying and slamming anyone who stands against you.

How to Carry Opponents

There are two ways to initiate a carry, with the most common being from a Grapple.

Start a Grapple by pressing either B (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation) near your opponent

During the Grapple, press RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation) to transition straight into a Shoulder Carry.

For the second method: push the Left Stick toward the opponent while holding down RB (Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation). This is a tad less safe than initiating the carry from a grapple, though.

Do note, your opponent can get out of the carry by mashing the Grapple button! Try to do an attack before they escape your grasp.

While you’re carrying your opponent, you can push the Right Stick to transition to other carry styles. The style will depend on the direction you push, as follows:

• Up – Powerbomb Carry
• Down – Cradle Carry
• Left – Fireman’s Carry
• Right – Shoulder Carry, which is the default style

You can, of course, also push the Left Stick while carrying your opponent to move. Use this to get those fools where you need ‘em to be!

To finish the carry with a bang, you can do a variety of attacks while still carrying your opponent. The options are as follows:

• Environmental Attack – Press X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation). Your attack will change depending on where you take your opponent, such as slamming them onto the ropes if you’re near them.
• Carry Attack – Press A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation) to perform a slamming attack and release your opponent.
• Throw Out of the Ring – Press B (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation) near the ropes to throw the fool you’re carrying outta the ring.

MyFACTION is a unique game mode in WWE 2K24 that allows you to make Factions with your favorite wrestlers, it can be a tad confusing to get started in.

The game’s interface is a bit of a pain, with some important options being in places you wouldn’t expect. It will all make sense once you’re done reading this guide, though, or so we hope!

Now, read on and we’ll help you dive right into the MyFACTION gameplay in this game.

How to Get Started in MyFACTION – First Things to Do

MyFACTION is a card-based management game, so the first thing you should do is get some good cards. So, your first course of action will be outside of MyFACTION itself!

Go into the Options menu from the Main Menu and select the Performance Center. Play through all of the short tutorials here first of all!

You won’t just learn the basics of the game, such as what the controls do. You’ll also earn a free Superstar Series I booster pack upon completion.

It’s free loot, no reason not to go get it!

Once you’ve gotten your free booster pack, head on over to the Home tab of the Main Menu. Once there, simply select MyFACTION to get started for real.

The screen will tell you the basics of the game mode. Basically, you’ll collect cards to form your dream teams of wrestlers, then take on other player’s Factions.

Read it all and choose to start, then you’ll get to choose a Starter Pack.

Each Starter Pack features different types of wrestler cards, but the cards themselves are completely random besides their typing. Just pick whichever one sounds most appealing!

Once you’ve got your starters, you should go back to the Main Menu. This time, head to the Headquarters tab and select MyFACTION Management.

Getting Used to MyFACTION Management

Inside of the MyFACTION Management Menu, you can set up your Factions. You can create up to 8 different Factions, so you can play around creating ones with different themes and styles!

The game will take you through the process of setting up your first Faction at this point. Once your Faction is ready to go, select it to customize it even further.

There are three tabs inside the MyFACTION Management, as follows:

• Line Up – The main event, basically. You can set up all of your wrestler line-ups using the cards you have. Put your favorite cards in your line-up to define your Faction.
• Customization – In this tab, you can set up the style of your Faction. You can set down your logo, wallpaper, and banner here. Choose a style that represents you best!
• Managers – Here’s where you can set up to two Managers for your Faction. Every Manager has a different style, which will strengthen specific types of wrestler cards. Make sure that your Manager matches your card line-up and you’ll do well.

If you need extra help, make sure to press the View Button (Xbox) or the Touchpad (PlayStation) to bring up extra in-game info related to the tab you’re in.

Once you’re done setting up your Faction, it’s time to head on over to the last key point you need to know of when starting out.

Getting a Headstart in MyFACTION | Weekly Towers Game Mode

Before you dive into the main Faction Wars game mode, you should make sure to do the Weekly Towers. You can access them from the Play tab in the Main Menu.

The Weekly Towers are sequences of matches you need to do in order. Completing them will reward you with some sweet loot, such as special cards and booster packs!

Thankfully, these matches are also surprisingly easy. They’re a perfect fit for anyone who’s just getting started with the MyFACTION mode in WWE 2K24.

It’s highly recommended that you complete all of these matches as soon as possible!

Once you’re satisfied with your setup and progress in the Weekly Towers, you should be good to go. All that’s left is to select Faction Wars from the Play tab of the Main Menu.

Face other players’ Factions, earn more cards, keep upgrading, and become the best Faction out there.
