Back in 2015, Until Dawn arrived on PlayStation 4, and we all fell (and screamed) in love with this instant classic. Now, we’re beyond excited to finally announce an all-new sequel for PS5… and if that’s not enough, we’ve got the world’s first trailer, right here, just for you.
Until Dawn 2 is a standalone experience, featuring a brand new cast, a whole new world to explore, and true to form, a modern horror experience packed with intrigue, emotion, twists, and the kind of choices that will keep you up at night. Your decisions still shape the story: who falls victim, and who survives Until Dawn…
Brand new story
Our cast this time is a crew of ghost hunters, the faces behind the wildly popular paranormal channel, Dead True.. Only, well… they’ve never actually seen anything supernatural. The scares they are known for are, let’s say, a little staged. But all that changes when for the very first time, they come face-to-face with real horrors and must start living up to their reputation to survive until dawn.
Having just signed a deal with a big TV network, the crew gets shipped off to an abandoned tropical island for their first fully funded episode. At first, it’s all sun, sand, secrets… plus some very not-safe-for-the-workplace drama as their complicated relationships bubble to the surface.
Of course, there’s more to this beautiful island than meets the eye. Beneath this blissful exterior, hide dreadful and heartbreaking secrets – centuries old and hungry for vengeance… and our crew have landed right in the middle of it.
Chasing likes might have brought them here, but survival quickly becomes the only metric that counts. Will you help them escape to tell the world their story, or will they become just another haunted legend, claimed by the island?
Choice and consequence
Would it even be an Until Dawn game without gut-wrenching decisions? Will you risk injury to save a cute baby boar from a gnarly bear trap? Keep a scandalous affair going, even if it could blow up the group? Push someone to their breaking point, all for the sake of content that your intimidating boss says you need to get?
This time, how you manage relationships within the crew matters more than ever, with some branches based on where things stand between characters. It’s not just the huge moments, even small character moments can set off a Butterfly Effect, sending your story spinning off towards unforeseen consequences…
Stay tuned for more
Here at Firesprite, we took the reins on Until Dawn 2 as our first release since Horizon: Call of the Mountain, where we collaborated with our friends at Guerrilla Games. Like many of you, a bunch of us on the team are massive fans of the original Until Dawn, so getting to build the sequel has been a dream come true. Part of our mission from day one has been honoring that core DNA: character drama, tough choices, and those unforgettable horror moments that made the first game so special.
In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out more story details, diving into Until Dawn 2’s gameplay, and of course, introducing our new cast. Amongst the characters in today’s reveal you’ll have spotted the return of the enigmatic Dr Hill, played once again by the fantastic Peter Stormare. We’ve still got plenty more to share leading up to the launch of Until Dawn 2 in 2027.
Shift Up has pulled the covers off its highly anticipated sequel to Stellar Blade during Summer Game Fest this evening, with a stunning debut trailer that you can see below. It’s called Stellar Blade Blood Rain.
The developer has spoke about its plans to make a new Stellar Blade game for some time now, although always insisted it wouldn’t be showcased until it reached “a satisfactory quality.” Only last month, the studio added that development of the sequel was progressing smoothly.
Telltale Games has released a teaser trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2, confirming the long-awaited sequel will be releasing in 2027.
Check out the trailer below.
In addition to the trailer above, Telltale Games also announced that The Wolf Among Us Remastered is launching in Fall 2026. More details as we get them.
Developer Creative Assembly has fully revealed the highly anticipated Alien Isolation 2, the sequel to 2014’s survival horror epic during Summer Game Fest today. The game is coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Alien Isolation 2 was originally announced in a 10th anniversary post celebrating the original game, although this is the first time we’ve got a proper look at the sequel.
“On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear.Today, I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready,” the post read back in October 2024.
The original Alien Isolation is available for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and takes place 15 years after the events of the original Alien film released in 1979, which itself is considered one of the most important horror films of all time. Players control Amanda Ripley, who is investigating the disappearance of her mother, Ellen, while on the space station Sevastopol. However, the station is home to a blood-thirsty alien, requiring players to use stealth and cunning to evade this deadly threat, as well as battle hostile humans and androids.
Alien Isolation 2 has yet to attract a release date.

It’s officially June, and everybody is clamoring for a Nintendo Direct, to say the least. There hasn’t been a general Nintendo Direct since September 2025, and the announcements they have made have been done spontaneously or through the Nintendo Today app. This approach does make sense from a business perspective, unfortunately. In a Nintendo Direct, a majority of the announcements...

Today, it was revealed that The Wolf Among Us Remastered as well as The Wolf Among Us 2 are planned for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. They’ll launch this holiday and in 2027 respectively. After so many of us believed the game was dead and forgotten on some derelict PC in Telltale’s storage rooms, The Wolf Among Us 2 finally has an official release date. The game is not cancelled or gone but slated for release in 2027, much like everything else we’ve seen so far at Summer Game Fest 2026.
The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced back in 2019 with a brief teaser and again in 2022, but ever since then it’s been dead silence from Telltale Games, itself rocked by massive financial and internal issues that saw many of its projects cancelled or indefinitely delayed and a good chunk of its staff gone from the studio.
Many anticipated the game to be cancelled internally, with Telltale just not disclosing the information, but it appears it’s been in active development over the last four years and is finally going to come out in 2027.
The trailer didn’t reveal much about the game or the story, but we’re definitely following Bigby Wolf, the lycanthrope detective working to solve mysterious crimes and murders happening in Fabletown, a place in our own world where magical creatures from European folklore live under disguises.
In the meantime, we’ll also get a remaster of the original The Wolf Among Us game, originally released in 2013, or around 13 years ago to date. I replayed it last November after completing Dispatch, made by much of the same developers as the first The Wolf Among Us, and the game really holds up well today but can be a bit rough around the edges.
Either way, we’re finally certain that yes, The Wolf Among Us 2 is alive and well and almost ready to launch.
During tonight’s Summer Games Fest, we’ve begun to see a lot of heavy hitters as soon as the night began. A lot of cool games have already been revealed, including the Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake. Now, we have the first proper trailer for Alien Isolation 2, Creative Assembly’s long-awaited sequel to its most iconic horror title.
Though the trailer was pretty brief, we got to see some action on a hostile planet where storms seem incessant and brutal. The foliage is thoroughly alien, and the environment wholly unwelcoming, which is the perfect backdrop for an Alien game. Of course, we also got insight into dark corridors and creepy interior locations and caught a glimpse of the iconic monster that will certainly hunt us throughout the game.
The developers said on stage that more will be revealed in due time, and no release date or window has been provided as of yet. While we wait to see more, I urge you to tune into tonight’s Summer Games Fest, as it appears to be one of the most exciting to date. We also covered another trailer for Alien Isolation 2 and speculated more about its setting and story, so do make sure to check that out.
We’ll update this article if more information becomes available as the SGF night progresses.
Forzenbyte has announced Trine 6: Together in Time, the latest game in the popular puzzle platformer series.
The story starts with two new characters, Moira and Adrius, looking to pull of a magical heist, and finding themselves way in over their head when their fate is bound to that of the realm’s greatest heroes: Amadeus, Zoya and Pontius. Now they have to join the typical trio of adventurers to restore the powerful magics that have landed them in this situation, and foil a dangerous warlock who seeks to use it.
As always, Trine 6 will be at its best with co-op, encouraging your to work together and combine abilities. However, Frozenbyte ensure that every puzzle can be solved by every character, so you can pick a preferred character and playstyle, or even go it alone. While there are five characters, this is a four player co-op experience, similar to the last couple adventures. The fivesome includes:
• Amadeus the Wizard: Summon objects and manipulate the world with magic.
• Zoya the Thief: Fire arrows at foes and use a rope to traverse and interact with the environment.
• Pontius the Knight: Crush enemies with a hammer and use his shield to defend and propel allies.
• Moira the Acrobat: Chain together fluid kick combos and swing through the world using her ribbon.
• Adrius the Squire: Wield a spear in combat or plant it to create platforms for traversal.
All character now have a Time-Slow ability, which will help you to make precise jumps, dodge incoming attacks, or just give you a bit more time to process what’s going on. The combat that features within the adventure aims to be more dynamic, forcing you to dodge incoming strikes, look for openings and adapt to different enemies, some of which shield and buff their allies.
Trine 6: Together in Time is in the works for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2 and PC.
Looking back at the last game from 2023, we said of Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, “If you’ve enjoyed the Trine series up to this point then you are in for a treat, Trine 5 is by far the best entry yet, offering puzzles that are phenomenally inventive and an utter delight to solve. If you haven’t taken the plunge yet with Trine, then now is the perfect chance. If only we could ditch the combat and have twice the puzzles, then truly would Trine reach co-op puzzling perfection.”
Coming back to Destiny 2 after a long break can be confusing. The game has changed a lot, especially since The Edge of Fate, so it’s easy to get lost or overwhelmed.
In fact, players returning to Destiny 2 might as well be playing “Destiny 2.5″ due to the sheer amount of new systems, such as gear tiers, armor 3.0, and a stat rework.
Here’s our guide for returning players in Destiny 2, with a breakdown on the most important tips anyone should know when coming back to the game after a long pause.
If you’re logging in from before The Edge of Fate, your Power level has been reset to a meager 10. You’re not weak again, though: Destiny 2 has drastically changed how power and difficulty work. Your teammates can also temporarily bump up your power to access certain activities, but without affecting your rewards.
With Monument of Triumph, power goes from 10 to 550, but you don’t have to grind all that. Your drops will fast-track you to 300, which is essentially the new soft floor. Even better, you can skip straight to 300 by buying weapons and armor from Zavala in the Tower and infusing them on your gear. Bumping up your level is the next part of the journey.
How to raise your power level in Destiny 2

As of The Edge of Fate, the Portal was the main way to level, with Renegades‘ Lawless Frontier showing up later. With Monument of Triumph, however, power and tier will seemingly be related to activity difficulty. Higher difficulties should grant you bigger boosts, but for the most part, almost anything in the game should bump up your power. Until then, the Portal is your safest bet.
You’ll notice your drops may have some diamonds on them, which relates to their tier—another addition from The Edge of Fate, which we’ll break down below.
Gear Tiers, explained
Screenshot by Destructoid
With The Edge of Fate, both weapons and armor have gear tiers. The higher the tier, the more valuable the loot. Any drop added since that expansion is tiered by default.
Weapons get different upgrades depending on tier. Anything T2 or above gets the benefits of having enhanced perks, but more importantly, T4 and T5 drops roll with extra traits, so it’s easier to get a good roll of them. Your weapons still work if they’re not part of the tier system, however, and crafted weapons can be upgraded to have similar benefits to a T5 (though you won’t get any extra perks added to an existing weapon).
Screenshot by DestructoidScreenshot by Destructoid
Armor tiers, on the other hand, indicate the total stat points on a given piece. Tiered armor has deterministic drops, with a fixed primary and secondary stats and a random tertiary stat. Your stat spikes depend on your armor’s archetype.
Screenshot by Destructoid
Well-rolled old armor has equivalent stats to the new T3. T4 pieces have 70-75 stat points, and T5s are guaranteed 75s with a little bonus called a tuning stat. That’s five points on a random stat in exchange for as many in a stat of your choice. New armor also has set bonuses for wearing two and four pieces, regardless of their tier.
With this many stat points, you’re gonna get over 100 on a given attribute easily. That’s good: with the stat rework, your attributes can go up to 200.
Stat rework: 100+ Points and Armor 3.0
Screenshot by Destructoid
The Edge of Fate stat rework lets you turbocharge your builds by giving you up to 200 in all stats, without breakpoints. For Grenade, Class, Melee, and Super, any number between 0-100 boosts how much ability regen you get from all sources, with points above that threshold giving you bonus damage or an extra effect.
You’ll notice two new stats as well: Health and Weapons—previously Resilience and Mobility, respectively. The former heals you on orb pickup (like the Recuperation mod) and the latter buffs your weapon damage and reload, with more benefits after 100.
Naturally, your stat priority will depend on your build, though you’ll probably want over 100 on your core stat(s). The 0-100 band affects all sources of regen, including orbs of power and scalars. Tweak them however you like according to your build and playstyle.
How to get higher-tier gear in Destiny 2
Image via Bungie
As of Monument of Triumph, gear tiers depend on your power level and the difficulty of the activity you’re facing, not counting other potential bonuses. Drops may depend on performance (Crucible) or feats (raids and dungeons). For patrol zones, you get T3 gear on public events and T4 for their heroic versions, with a chance of T5. Distortions drop gear one tier above the normal.
With The Edge of Fate, fireteam boosting lets you access higher difficulties but doesn’t improve your rewards past your maximum. In other words, if you tag along in an Ultimatum activity, you’ll still get gear that’s around on par with what you can achieve, so you can’t get powerleveled.
Attunement, explained
Image via Bungie
Attunement surfaced during Into the Light and rolled out across the board with Monument of Triumph. Attuning to a weapon vastly improves the odds of getting it as an activity reward. You can target one weapon at a time for each active pool by going into the Attunement tab in your Inventory menu. Make sure you’re focusing on weapons before jumping into activities.
Best things to do for returning players in Destiny 2
Image via Bungie
If you’re coming back to Destiny 2 after a long break, you may need some time to acclimate yourself. Destinations will drop at least T3 gear, while Heroic public events can drop T4-T5. Distortions—those ominous red portals in the sky—will bump that up by one tier.
The old Portal Ops playlists offer you some ideas on what to do depending on fireteam size, from solo to six-man missions, and each type has its own loot pool. Pinnacle Ops encompass old Exotic quests, so they’re a good way to add something powerful to your arsenal (like Choir of One in Encore) since they’re not tiered.
Onslaught has a few iconic weapons from the franchise’s history, and the horde mode is one of the most fun, unique activities available. The Coil is another favorite of ours. Just mind the traps.
Crucible and Gambit are also good choices, given their designated drops. For Gambit, just summoning the Primeval is supposed to get you T5 drops, so go bank those Motes. It’s unclear if this has any other requirements, however, like higher Guardian Rank or power. On the flip side, try Sparrow Racing League (SRL) if you’re feeling confident on your driving for a shot at unique weapons and armor.
The Wolf of Among Us 2 has finally been re-revealed and it has been given a release window of 2027. Let’s hope it sticks this time. But that was not the only news for fans of the big detective wolf, as the original The Wolf Among Us is getting remastered, and this is set to launch later this year.
We have been waiting a long time for any kind of news about The Wolf Among Us 2, so savour the brand new trailer.
The Wolf Among Us 2 was first shown in February 2022, having first been announced in 2017 then delayed in 2018 to 2019. However, during that time the original Telltale Games studio folded in September 2018 with LCG Entertainment picking up the Telltale Games brand and re-founded the studio in early 2019, confirming that the game was back in development.
Given how long it’s been since the previous announcements, let alone the original episodic series release, it makes sense for Telltale to prelude The Wolf Among Us 2 with a remaster of the acclaimed original.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be a single release with all five episodes, all having been enhanced with improved lighting, updated animation, better environments and some modernised presentation to really bring it up towards the level we expect fromt he sequel.
Alongside the re-release, the team are incorporating behind-the-scenes developer commentary, and will feature concept art, interviews, restored content and other archival materials from the making of the game.
Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have revealed the third Attack on Titan game! It is (unsurprisingly) called Attack on Titan 3.
“Attack on Titan 3 is the riveting culmination of the action game series, depicting the story of Attack on Titan from its Survey Corps beginnings to its dramatic conclusion,” say Koei Tecmo. “Fans can ready their blades for combat against the Nine Titans for the very first time, while learning more about the characters and lore through brand-new story content.”
Further details for the game will be revealed with another trailer on July 1st 2026.
This will be more than just the final chapter, as Attack on Titan 3 will actually tell the whole manga and anime saga from beginning to end, aiming to be the definitive game for the series.
Koei Tecmo will look to take the rapid omni-directional movement to the next level, to create high-speed encounters as you look to take out the Titans.
Attack on Titan 3 will be launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Attack on Titan 2 was released way back in 2018 and we scored it an impressive 8/10 on our review. Miguel said, “Omega Force managed to do something incredibly rare and impressive with their Attack on Titan games, they managed to make a totally brand new video game. Some trappings of the Warriors formula remain, but they serve to complement a fresh and unique core gameplay experience. I wish the involvement from my character in the story had been a little more significant, but the opportunities I got to mingle with the cast between missions more than made up for it. Attack on Titan 2 is one of the strongest anime video games I’ve ever played, not because of a perfect story mode or graphics, but because it creates a unique gameplay experience that could only ever be done with an Attack on Titan game.”
