A Fortnite x Minecraft Crossover Is Reportedly in Early Development

Fortnite Collaboration Rumours With Minecraft Have Started To Swirl

A collaboration between two of the biggest franchises in gaming, Fortnite and Minecraft, has been long-requested. Today, collaboration rumours have started.

Fortnite and Minecraft have become household names, and despite both franchises’ meteoric rise to prominence (and multitude of crossover events for both), they have never collaborated before. New rumours hit the Fortnite feed almost daily, and it’s about time the Mojang juggernaut Minecraft, has entered the picture. A new rumour indicates that Battle Island could be accepting new entrants with Minecraft, in what would be one of their biggest crossover events to date (this is the company that has thrown an Eminem concert in-game).

— HYPEX (@HYPEX) January 14, 2026

The information about the potential Minecraft crossover being in early development comes from an X user (formerly Twitter), AdiraFNInfo, then reposted by the reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX (which lent ‘credibility’ to the leak). HYPEX’s post has ‘rumoured’ emblazoned across the post, so even that account hasn’t been able to confirm if this rumour is true or not. It’s worth noting that alongside other prominent Fortnite leakers like ShiinaBR (who echoed the Minecraft rumours in their own post) on X (who has been responsible for some of the most accurate ‘leaks’ coming to Fortnite), HYPEX has “Epic Games Partner” in their bio, alongside a blue checkmark for verification.

The next confirmed season scheduled to hit Battle Island will be Chapter 7, Season 2, following the current Pacific Break season, which has been steeped in Hollywood and Tarantino additions to the Item Shop. As of these rumours, nothing has been confirmed as concrete regarding the next season. Although both accounts have been responsible for accurate leaks before, fans should take this news with a grain of salt until the collaboration is confirmed by Mojang Studios or Epic Games. Both parties will undoubtedly have a huge announcement if it’s indeed going down.

How to use Flushers in different matches in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1

Cartmanland in Fortnite

The South Park collab in Fortnite Chapter Seven Season One is now live, and you'll need to go to the toilet (no, literally) in the game to complete one of the quests.

The first set of Born in Chaos quests requires you to visit Flushers across three separate matches, which are blue temporary toilets placed across various locations on the map.

All Flusher locations in Fortnite

Flushers appear to be quite common in the eastern and northern parts of the map. I have marked their locations in the image below to make it easier for you to find.

  • The Classified Canyon has a Flusher on each side of the main triangular building.
  • There's one at the Collider Corridor Beta landmark, located in the northern part of the Classified Canyon.
  • The Gas Station in the middle of Latte Landing and Painted Palms
  • In Cartmanland, you'll find one at the top of the Voyage to the Centre of the Planet waterslide.

I am pretty sure there are more of them elsewhere on the map, and we will update the map with them later down the line.

How to use Flushers in different matches in Fortnite

Once you find a Flusher, interact with the door to enter. You have to repeat this across three different matches. At first, I thought that you had to use different Flushers, but that's not the main criterion. To complete the quest, you have to visit at least one Flusher in three different rounds.

I have tested this, and visiting the same Flusher across different rounds will count. Once you approach a door, you'll get the option to press E and teleport. The Flushers appear to be a quick-travel network that allows you to visit different POIs quickly.

How to get Memberberries in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1

9. Leden 2026 v 15:55

Imaginationland Glider in Fortnite

The South Park collab in Fortnite has introduced two new currencies in the form of Memberberries and CRED, and the former will help you earn a free glider.

It's relatively easy to get Memberberries if you're playing Fortnite while the South Park collab is active. However, you'll need to find six of them to get the gliders, and this quick guide will help you figure out all the possible ways.

How to gather Memberberries in Fortnite

Unlike all the new items and weapons coming to Fortnite from South Park, you can't loot Memberberries. You can only get them by completing the different Born in Chaos quests. Stage one is currently live in the game, and there will be five more stages.

Stage one, for example, has six quests to complete. When you complete any four of them, you'll get a Memberberry. Of course, the process will be slow. Stage two quest goes live only on Thursday, and you can't get the second Memberberry before then (as of writing).

All Memberberry quests in Fortnite

Here are all the stage one quests that are currently live in Fortnite.

  • Ride different rides or eliminate players at Cartmanland (either five rides or five players).
  • Hit opponents with SMGs (100 damage).
  • After getting knocked, eliminate a player (One player).
  • Become a boss (Any boss will work).
  • Use Flushers in different matches (Across three different rounds).
  • Damage opponents within 10 seconds of swimming (Deal 200 damage within 10 seconds after you have swam).

Complete any four, and you'll earn the first Memberberry. I will add the next set of quests once they're live in the game.

How to get and use the Stick of Truth in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1

9. Leden 2026 v 15:21

Kenny in Fortnite South Park

The Stick of Truth is now available in Fortnite as part of the South Park collab, and it's an extremely strong item that can completely change the tide of a battle.

The Mythic item might help you win a round, but to do so, you have to obtain it first. Doing so will require you to reach the correct location on the map, and this guide will elaborate on all the steps.

How to get the Stick of Truth in Fortnite

The northwest part of the map has a new POI called Cartmanland. This is a South Park-themed POI that has replaced Wonkeeland. This spot not only offers fun mini-games, but you can also obtain the Stick of Truth and other items like Kenny's Respawn Token from the marked location on the image below.

Go towards the eastern edge of Cartmanland, where the castle stage is located. The spot has a massive mural of Cartman as the backdrop. You'll find the Stick of Truth on a red cushion on top of a concrete pedestal.

Additionally, you can only find the Stick of Truth if a Rift Anomaly of the same name is active. When the Rift Anomaly pops up, you'll get an in-game message saying that you'll need to grab the stick to control the storm.

You will also have to be the first person to reach the spot if you want to claim the stick. Once it's been claimed, you'll get another message

How to use the Stick of Truth in Fortnite

The Stick of Truth can be used only once. It allows the user to control the storm, deciding its destination. If you have found it, activate it immediately to spin a surprise for your opponents.

However, run as fast as you can and be on the move if someone else has claimed it. The storm can move anywhere on the map, and being caught out can end your round. Try to get close to Cartmanland since chances are that the person who has found it is in the same POI.

South Park has dropped into Fortnite with a new Quints 5-player playlist

Epic is kicking off 2026 with their first major Fortnite collab event of the year, as South Park has been smushed into the enduring battle royale. There’s some fun new twists here, from the 5-player Quints playlist, to the Cartmanland POI and a free Born in the Chaos battle pass.

Having dredged up the powerful Stick of Truth, Butters has forced Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny to play Fortnite with him. The stick is so powerful, it’s managed to bend the game code to allow all five of them to team up in the Quints playlist.

Here’s what else you’ll find in this event, running from today through 5th February:

  • Gameplay Items: Players can restore health, heal allies, or damage enemies with Cheesy Poofs; reboot automatically after being eliminated with the one-time-use Kenny’s Respawn Token; and for the first time ever, control where the Storm goes by retrieving the one-time-use Stick of Truth from the sky.
  • Cartmanland: Drop into a new POI: Cartman’s massive personal theme park! Cartmanland features rideable thrills such as CHAOS BLAST, Voyage to the Center of the Planet, and Pi Pi’s Splash Town.
  • The Born in Chaos Pass: With no V-Bucks required, the Born in Chaos Pass features 13 South Park-themed items players can unlock – including a Cheesy Poofs Emote, Back Blings, Pickaxes, and more – by completing new South Park Quests.

Epic has always been pretty hot on the IP collabs, but it certainly feels as though they’re picking up the pace on some of these. In the last few months of 2025 along, they brought the K-Pop Demon Hunters into the game from the hit Netflix movie, and the there was the whole Simpsons crossover.

South Park is hardly a stranger to the realms of video games, from one of the most popular and enduring episodes of the show having featured World of Warcraft at the peaks of its early popularity, to the menagerie of tie-in games from the tail end of the PS1 and N64 era, through to the popular RPG duology Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole – it’s obviously Stick of Truth that Fortnite is leaning on to get the boys into the game.

Fortnite update today (9th January): What changes in the patch notes?

9. Leden 2026 v 11:53

Epic Games is kicking off 2026 in style with Fortnite's first major content update of the year.

It's a big one, with one of the most anticipated crossovers in years coming to the game, which means skins, items, map changes and more.

So, if you're excited to see what's coming in patch 39.20, here's what you need to know!

Fortnite update today (9th January): What changes in the patch notes?

Today's Fortnite update brings us the long-awaited South Park crossover.

That means players will be able to check out the new South Park Mini Battle Pass for all sorts of unique cosmetics.

We already have some confirmed South Park skins, with Kyle, Stan, Kenny, Cartman and Butters all getting their own mech skins, and there will no doubt be some extra cosmetics to unlock on top of that.

The map is getting an overhaul as well, with the Wonkeeland POI receiving a big update, turning into Cartmanland for the event.

In terms of new weapons, the highlight is certainly the Stick of Truth Mythic, although what it actually does is yet to be determined.

Other South Park items are also joining the game, such as the Cheesy Poofs Consumable, which was first shown-off in the event's teaser trailer.

There will also be a brand-new Rift Anomaly for players to check out, called 'Everyone Kills Kenny'.

As well as all of this South Park content, according to the reputable Fortnite Leaks X account, we're set to receive a new Blitz update and map, new Reload loot pool, and some new and unvaulted weapons.

On the Item Shop side of things, we'll also be getting new pet Sidekicks, Jam Tracks, Icon Series Emotes, Car Bodies, Kicks and some new Bundles too.

When is South Park coming to Fortnite? Release date and South Park skins

8. Leden 2026 v 12:00

South Park is officially heading to Fortnite!

The iconic animation is set for a crossover with Epic Games' hit shooter, bringing with it South Park skins, POIs, events and more.

If you're excited for the event, here's what you need to know about the Fortnite South Park release date, and all the upcoming South Park skins too.

South Park returned from a long hiatus in 2025, but who cares about that when 2026 is the year it lands in Fortnite?

Fortnite has already seen plenty of iconic animated shows make their way into the game, whether that's The Simpsons, Family Guy or Rick and Morty, and now it's South Park's turn.

So, when does the South Park event begin in Fortnite? What's going to be included? Here's everything we know so far.

When is South Park coming to Fortnite? Release date confirmed

South Park is officially coming to Fortnite, as confirmed by a recent teaser posted to Fortnite's official social media channels.

Captioned, "Chaos, loading...", the post also comes with a confirmed release date for the event – the South Park x Fortnite event will begin on 9th January 2026.

In December 2025, X account HYPEX revealed that not only is a South Park collaboration on the way, but it's set to be a big one too (more on that down below).

What to expect from the South Park x Fortnite crossover: All South Park skins

Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, Butters and Stan in their mech Fortnite skins above the Stick of Truth.

The highlight of the collaboration is a set of five new South Park skins in Fortnite. These skins are:

  • Stan
  • Kyle
  • Kenny
  • Cartman
  • Butters (Professor Chaos)

Since they're all kids, these will all be mech skins, similar to the treatment Bart got in the recent Simpsons crossover.

These skins will likely cost 1,500 V-Bucks each, or be available as part of a larger South Park Bundle.

As well as that, it looks like Towelie will be joining the game as a Sidekick, although this has not been confirmed.

In a teaser trailer for the event, we also see a bunch of references from the show being added to the game, such as a Cheesy Poofs Consumable.

The map is receiving an overhaul, with the Wonkeeland POI being changed to Cartmanland, and according to leaker Hypex, will feature at least one new Boss.

There will also be a new Rift Anomaly, dubbed 'Everyone Kills Kenny'.

Of course, we would expect to see a few more cosmetics added to the game as well, including Emotes, Back Blings and more.

2025’s most played video games is the most depressing list you’ll read today

6. Leden 2026 v 18:39
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 key art of a man holding a gun
Despite years of complaints from fans, Call Of Duty is still extremely popular (Activision)

Any studio looking to release a new live service game in 2026 needs to take a long hard look at what the most played games in the US were last year.

The start of a new year should instil everyone with a sense of anticipation and the thought of new possibilities. But for the games industry at least, the last few years have brought more worries than excitement.

As we laid out in our end of year review, 2025 belonged to indie studios, thanks to successes like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight: Silksong. And in an ideal world, larger publishers would learn a thing or two from these smaller developers.

At the very least, it’d be nice to see publishers stop pinning all their hopes on live service games and becoming the next Fortnite, because it’s simply not going to happen. If you need further evidence of that, just take a look at what most people in the US were playing last year.

Circana analyst Mat Piscatella took to Bluesky to share the top five most played video games in the US, on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles, according to a survey of ‘active’ gamers.

On PlayStation, the top five were Fortnite, Call Of Duty, GTA 5, Minecraft, and Roblox. And on Xbox, it’s the exact same list, with the only difference being Roblox and Minecraft’s positions are swapped.

These are all long-running games with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer and have been consistently updated over the years – with only Call Of Duty being a traditional yearly release.

What’s especially telling is that, according to Piscatella, these lists are unchanged compared to 2024. The order’s slightly different for Xbox, but it’s still the same five games.

2025's top 5 most played games on US Xbox ranked by % of active panel that played:1 – Fortnite2 – Call of Duty3 – GTAV4 – Minecraft5 – RobloxSame list for 2024:1 – Call of Duty2 – Fortnite3 – Minecraft4 – GTAV5 – RobloxSource: Circana Player Engagement Tracker

Mat Piscatella (@matpiscatella.bsky.social) 2026-01-06T15:20:42.099Z

Fortnite is the youngest of the bunch, having launched in 2017, which means no other games, live service ones or otherwise, have managed to come close to this list’s level of popularity in the last eight years.

Knowing this, it’s hard to imagine things being any different this time next year. Call Of Duty may drop a couple of places thanks to Black Ops 7, which only launched two months ago and has been a relative flop, at least by the series’ standards.

While there are no public figures on console, SteamDB’s data shows Call Of Duty has been bleeding players for years on PC, with even 2024’s well received Black Ops 6 bucking the trend.

Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders may be the go-to multiplayer shooters for the moment but Call Of Duty clearly has a tight stranglehold on the gaming community when it’s still among the most played games in the US despite its online reputation.

This knowledge should be a turn-off for any studio hoping to break into the live service games market, but comments from Ubisoft suggest it’s unperturbed (even after multiple failures) and the big closure of The Game Awards 2025 was a new live service shooter from the Apex Legends creators called Highguard, that’s set to launch later this month.
