Baldur’s Gate III Will Not Be Coming To Nintendo Switch 2

In a recent Reddit thread, when asked if Baldur’s Gate III would launch for Nintendo Switch 2, Larian CEO Swen Vincke responded, saying, “We would have loved to, but it wasn’t our decision to make.” No further details were provided. Insider NateTheHate expanded on Vincke’s comment via Twitter, stating, “This is the unfortunate truth. While Larian would love to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to the Switch 2… their relationship with Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast is not healthy.” The reasons behind the strained relationship between the two companies remain publicly unknown. Baldur’s Gate III is available now for PC and Mac via Steam and GOG, as well as for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

This is the unfortunate truth.

Baldur’s Gate III details via the developer:

Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.

Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.

From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin II comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

Gather Your Party

Choose from a wide selection of Dungeons & Dragons races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.

An Expansive Original Story

Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.

Next-Generation RPG

Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate III gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.

No Adventure Will Be the Same

The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you—verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

Online Multiplayer for Up to Four Players – Allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
Origin Characters – Offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.

Evolved Turn-Based Combat – Based on the Dungeons & Dragons 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
Define the Future of the Forgotten Realms – Through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.

Player-Initiated Turn-Based Mode – Allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness—create your own luck!

One Million ARC Raiders Players Have Reportedly Wiped Their Accounts

In a recent interview, Embark Studios revealed that just over a million players participated in the recent ‘Expedition Project’ for ARC Raiders. This mechanic allows players to reset their accounts at the end of the expedition, giving them the opportunity to start the game afresh. According to the developer, the mechanic will recur every two to three months. Given the game’s reported 12 million units sold, however, one million participants is relatively low. The Expedition Project involves players collecting items and completing tasks to exit the safe zone, with the reward being a new character to start the journey from scratch.

The game’s details:

Enlist

ARC Raiders is a cooperative third-person shooter where you and your squad of Raiders unite to resist the onslaught of ARC—a ruthless, mechanized threat descending from space.

You play as one of the Raiders, a rogue group of resistance fighters. With the help of a patchwork early warning system, you fight to protect our home against enemies dropping from orbit. ARC is faceless and unfeeling, but no one could accuse ARC of being unresponsive. In fact, ARC responds to resistance with ever-increasing destruction.

Resist

As a Raider, you know that defeating ARC requires more than simply pointing and shooting a gun, and more than one person trying to be a hero. When ARC is around, lone wolves never make it very far.

As underdogs, we need to believe in something bigger than our own strength, in something unapologetically human. That’s why we come together. United amid the unlikelihood of success, what seemed implausible may just become the best course of action. So, by all means, come prepared and plan ahead, but sometimes you just have to wing it.

Jump right into the fray in a free-to-play world.

Scavenge the ruins of the past. Wield tools and gadgets to outsmart the enemy. Use on-the-fly tactics, your surroundings, and physics to your advantage. If you and your squad play well together, one day the stars may again become beacons of hope, instead of omens of oblivion.

Reimagine the Third-Person Shooter – Go beyond simply matching ammo to a weapon. Experience action where combat demands unrehearsed creativity.
Reimagine Cooperation – ARC pursues you relentlessly, but together you can overcome these faceless foes. Fight, flee, and fine-tune, shoulder to shoulder with your squad.

Larian Studios Says It Wont Be Using AI tools For Divinity’s Development

Following scrutiny over revealing that the studio uses generative AI as a reference tool for concept art, Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke revealed in a recent Reddit AMA that the studio will not be using AI for its upcoming game Divinity.

“So first off – there is not going to be any GenAI art in Divinity,” Vincke said. “I know there’s been a lot of discussion about us using AI tools as part of concept art exploration. We already said this doesn’t mean the actual concept art is generated by AI, but we understand it created confusion. “So, to ensure there is no room for doubt, we’ve decided to refrain from using genAI tools during concept art development. That way, there can be no discussion about the origin of the art.”

However, Vincke also stated that Larian will continue to explore ways to improve development efficiency. He explained that the studio still intends to use AI tools in other areas to help speed up iteration and experimentation. “The more iterations we can do, the better, in general, the gameplay is,” he continued. “We think GenAI can help with this, and so we’re trying things out across departments. Our hope is that it can aid us to refine ideas faster, leading to a more focused development cycle, less waste, and ultimately, a higher-quality game.” During The Game Awards, Larian Studios announced Divinity, a new game in the series set in the world of Rivellon. The studio claims that it is its “most ambitious title yet.”

Eidos Montreal Has Been Hit With New String of Layoffs

According to several reports from past employees, Deus Ex and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy developer  Eidos Montreal has been affected by a new string of layoffs. One of these reports comes from former gameplay director Samuel Daher. “Hey there! Was working at Eidos, loved it and would have stayed, but times are difficult,” Daher wrote on LinkedIn. “I’m eager to find a new professional home to drive design on new productions.” The studio has yet to make an official statement on the layoffs and the full number of affected employees is currently unknown. The studio notably laid off 75 employees back in April.

Details on the developer’s upcoming game, Fable:

What does it mean to be a hero? In last year’s trailer, that question was answered by Dave, a gardener-turned-giant with a chip on his shoulder. This year, we get a much darker take from Humphry, played by the British comedy actor Matt King. Humphry was once Albion’s greatest Hero, but those glory days are long gone. In Fable, Humphry will be forced out of retirement when a mysterious figure from his past threatens the very existence of Albion.

Playground Games also confirmed its collaboration with Eidos Montreal, who will be supporting the ongoing development of Fable, which will be coming to players in 2025.

Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows is “Definitely A Little Bit Harder”

In a recent Gamespot interview, director Junya Ishizaki revealed that the Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows DLC is “definitely a little bit harder” than the base game. However, he also claims that the difficulty will not be “ridiculous or anything like that,” and will offer “a fair challenge.” “So whenever people who have played the main game extensively go into the DLC content, they’ll be able to have a bit of that feeling like they had when they first played Nightreign, where there’s still a bit that they’re trying to figure out,” said Ishizaki. The Elden Ring Nightreign ‘The Forsaken Hollows’ DLC will launch on December 4. The DLC will include “two additional Nightfarers, one new Shifting Earth, and more.” Elden Ring Nightreign is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC ‘Mega Dimension’ Gets New Mega Lucario Z Trailer

Publisher The Pokemon Company and developer Game Freak have revealed a new trailer for  Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The trailer reveals the Mega-Evolved Pokemon Mega Lucario Z who will be included in the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A.  Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Mega Dimension will launch on December 10. It will cost $29.99. The DLC will include the new Hyperspace Luminose, Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur, an extra side mission, and more.

The Pokemon’s details:

Mega Lucario Z

Category: Aura Pokemon

Type: Fighting/Steel

Height: 4’3″ (1.3 m)

Weight: 108.9 lbs. (49.4 kg)

A newly discovered form of Lucario, Mega Lucario Z was determined to be a Mega Evolution based on how its form changes through exposure to a Mega Stone and its increase in power far outshining that of an average Lucario.

The long fur around Mega Lucario Z’s head and waist, as well as its fan-shaped tail, make it difficult to get a full view of Mega Lucario Z’s powerful movements. In close combat, this can work to visually disorient opponents. Areas of its body, such as the backs of its hands and its shins, have been hardened with steel energy—allowing it to deliver powerful blows by concentrating its strength precisely into these hardened parts.

Z Mega Evolutions, such as Mega Lucario Z, need less time to fire off moves but burn through Mega Power very quickly, making them less suited for long battles but a good option when trying to settle matches as fast as possible.

While Mega Lucario, the Mega Evolution of Lucario, appears in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the newly discovered Mega Lucario Z will appear in the downloadable content “Mega Dimension.”

Extra Side Mission Now Available

Starting today, Trainers can receive a Mewtwonite X stone and a Mewtwonite Y stone through the Mystery Gift feature in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Once the player receives the Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y stones, Mewtwo’s extra side mission will become available. It appears heading to Lysandre Cafe and venturing into the deepest areas of Lysandre Labs may cause some systems to reactivate in response to the Mega Stones, and beating this side mission will allow you to add the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo to your team.

LET IT DIE Offline Version Officially Announced

Publisher GungHo Online Entertainment and developer Supertrick Games have announced that an offline version for the free-to-play action game LET IT DIE is currently in development. Additional details have yet to be announced. LET IT DIE first launched on December 6, 2016 for PlayStation 4. It is also available on PC via Steam. The next game in the series, LET IT DIE: INFERNO will launch on November 3.

Producer Uncle Death commented on the announcement in the latest LET IT DIE: INFERNO developer diary:

“We’ve been running the service for a very long time since it started—we’ve been running it for a long time, but we’ve gotten feedback from customers for a long time that they want an offline version. So I thought, ‘Maybe we should just go ahead and make an offline version.’ Uncle was taking a bath the other day and just thought of it. And we decided to start production.

As for the fine details, like when the offline version will be ready, we’ll let everyone know over time. Today is the announcement that production is decided… Actually, the LET IT DIE you’re playing now—you’re playing online, right? That data can be carried over to the offline version… It’s not starting from zero. The data you’ve been playing with won’t be lost.”

The game’s details:

In the year 2026 AD, a large tectonic disturbance caused mass destruction around the world.

In the midst of the destruction, South Western Tokyo split off into the ocean where the seismic activity caused a large spire to rise out of the ocean piercing the island creating a tower-like structure deemed holy by some.

Under the watchful eye of Uncle Death, madness has spread across the world…

Senpai! I Was Waiting for You!

My name is Uncle Death, and I have a feeling we’re going to get along just fine…

Your task is simple, get to the top of the tower.

Let’s Reach for the Top, Senpai!

Fight your way to the top in this chaotic and pulp survival action taking free-to-play to a whole new level. Begin your journey in your underwear and survive by any means necessary while taking advice from Uncle Death, a skateboarding reaper.

Rumor has it that a sacred treasure awaits at the top of the Tower of Barbs for those that survive the climb. Many dangers and mysteries remain hidden from the eyes of mankind and await those courageous enough to dare approach the tower.

Collect and Develop Unique Equipment

Players fight through a treacherous tower obtaining various types of weapons and armor while finding creatures and mushrooms to eat in order to stay alive.

Pry weapons and armor from the cold dead grasp of your fallen foes or craft even better gear. Eat mushrooms, frogs, and other odd creatures to keep your strength up or activate special abilities. Strategize when it’s best to fight or sneak away to fight another day.

You may lose your belongings upon death, but death doesn’t always have to be the end…

Hyper-Violent Rage Moves and Goretastic Kills

When hacking and slashing your foes just isn’t enough, you can use ultra violent Rage Moves or Goretastics to finish them off with style!

Asynchronous Player-versus-Player

Haters – Upon death, a player’s “death data” is circulated among other player’s games where they will appear as formidable opponents called Haters.

Hunters – Need some loot but don’t have the time to go exploring the tower yourself? Send one of your Fighters to an unsuspecting enemy, and they will invade their world as a Hunter. These potentially lethal foes can gather up items and resources from an enemy’s tower for a set period of time. If they are killed before that, they get sent home crying to their master.

Tokyo Death Metro – Tetsuo brings the Tokyo Death Metro to a platform near you! Join a team, attack your opponents and raid their stash, but keep in mind they can return the favor! You can also enjoy bonus rewards during the Tokyo Death Metro Battle Rush Season. We hope to see you enjoying Tokyo Death Metro’s Luxury Attack Liner!

Train your body, develop equipment, eat everything that can be eaten. If you’re stolen from, steal it back… and, if you’re killed, kill them back!
