Fans were jubilant when Persona 3 received a remake earlier this year, but this turned to disappointment when it became clear its Episode Aigis epilogue DLC was not included. Multiple versions of Persona 3 have been released since the game's initial PS2 launch in 2006 - namely Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, each with unique additions. The release of this year's Persona 3 Reload was an opportunity to provide the definitive version of the game, but without Episode Aigis fans were upset it would remain incomplete.
That's why Atlus relented and has now additionally remade Episode Aigis: The Answer with all the trappings of Reload - though no doubt the fact it's the fastest-selling Atlus game ever was also persuasive. Finally, fans will get the complete story experience they've craved (though still without the alternative female protagonist from P3P). But after going hands-on with the DLC, I'm still left with a lingering question: what exactly was the main game missing?
I played Persona 3 for the first time this year and really enjoyed its twisted teen drama, even if the series as a whole is starting to feel formulaic. Yet after receiving the true ending, the story felt complete and I wasn't left with unanswered questions. So what kind of answer can The Answer provide?

Haru is wearing her full Noir Phantom Thief attire for this figure. She’s also tipping her hat and pointing with her right hand. She doesn’t have any weapon “equipped.” Also, as this is a Pop Up Parade standard figure, there are no additional parts or options.
Here’s a closer look at the Pop Up Parade figure of the character that is based on her Persona 5 Royal appearance.
All Persona 5 figures in the Pop Up Parade line are standardized. So they all tend to be about the same high and cost the same amount. So like the Oracle or Crow ones, she should be around over six inches tall and will cost¥4,800/$38.99.
There’s no release window for the Persona 5 Royal Haru “Noir” Okumura Pop Up Parade figure just yet. Persona 5 is on the PS3 and PS4, while Royal is on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

As a note, all of the clothing items are mens’ sizes. So when you’re buying them, if you don’t normally wear clothing for men, you might need to buy a size smaller than your usual.
Some of these items have been around in the past. The Morgana parka in particular must be a very popular item. This marks the third time Avail and Shimamura have offered it during a Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal collaboration.
Though the game came out in 2019 for Japan, it remains very popular today. Kotobukiya recently announced a re-run of a scale figure of Kasumi Yoshizawa in her Phantom Thief outfit, with this figure’s initial release being in 2020. Meanwhile, NetEase is currently re-running its Persona 5 crossover event in Identity V.
Persona 5 Royal is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

If there is one element Atlus is becoming really good at lately, it is respecting and preserving older titles in its gigantic library. Most of the modern Persona games and mainline Shin Megami Tensei titles exist on current systems. However, there are two noticeable exceptions that could be used as a solution, such as an SMTIV and Apocalypse remaster collection.
If you want to, it is technically possible to play every single mainline Shin Megami Tensei game right now on a modern system. After all, there is a brilliant remaster of Nocturne on all current systems and PCs. Plus, there is the recent release of SMTV: Vengeance, which makes it available to everyone.
Image via Atlus
In fact, you can even play the older SMT titles, such as the first game, second game, and even if on Nintendo Switch. That is, if you have a Japanese account. However, it is possible, at least, which can’t be said for two particular games that are left out: Shin Megami Tensei IV and Apocalypse. As of right now, there are the only mainline games not available on current hardware.
They were also only ever released on the Nintendo 3DS and nowhere else. So, unless you use unsavory means, it isn’t possible to play them if you don’t have a 3DS handheld. This is why it is so crucial a remaster collection happens. I could see a situation where the two connected games come together into a remastered collection on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
It wouldn’t be too difficult to modernize them, either. Though these games had a second screen, removing it isn’t too big of an issue. The bottom screen with your demons would just need to move to the top screen in some way. The 3D visuals still look solid on 3DS, so you only need some light brushing up there. Of course, some quality-of-life features might be welcome, but that’s pretty much it.
Image via Atlus
For me, personally, SMTIV: Apocalypse is my favorite game in the series. It perfectly balances story, characters, and a twisted world to explore so excellently. SMTIV is also fantastic, though the two are quite similar in some regards. With how solid these games are — even better than the recent SMTV, in my opinion — it is a shame they are stuck elsewhere. In fact, Atlus now has a pretty open slate for the Shin Megami Tensei series. With the release of Vengeance, no other games are coming for the franchise.
An SMTIV and Apocalypse remaster collection could be the perfect next title to satiate fans. They would be fairly easy to put out and a simple success for the company. Better yet, an SMTIV and Apocalypse remaster collection could tie fans over until Shin Megami Tensei VI, Persona 6, or whatever is next from Atlus. It is possible those games are a couple of years away still, so this would be a great way to keep players occupied.
I would be happy if they included Strange Journey as well. It also falls into the unfortunate portable-exclusive dilemma. It might be too soon after Vengeance for an SMTIV and Apocalypse remaster collection, but it needs to happen eventually. A release of these two brilliant 3DS JRPGs for modern consoles and PC would be a welcome release in 2025 or 2026. Regardless, I hope Atlus doesn’t let these games remain exclusive to the 3DS.
Shin Megami Tensei IV and Apocalypse are only available right now for Nintendo 3DS.

The three different modes are Scenario Mode, Dungeon Mode, and Boss Challenge Mode. Atlus recommends Dungeon Mode for players. Scenario Mode lets you play the first little bit of the story and learn the basic controls. You will also be able to experience your Archetype awakening scene.
Dungeon Mode lets you play through a dungeon from the early hours of the game. Your goal is to complete a subquest while using your Archetype-wielding companions in turn-based combat. Finally, Boss Challenge Mode pits you against a boss from the middle section of the game. You’ll also be able to operate a mount that can move around on the ocean.
Metaphor: ReFantazio will come out on October 11, 2024, for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.

Persona 5: The Phantom X started its open beta test in China on April 12, 2024, and officially released in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on April 18. In addition, the latest financial results for Sega confirmed that the release of Persona 5: The Phantom X met the company’s expectations.
Regarding the company’s financial results, Sega announced an increase in sales and a decrease in profits year-over-year. The release of titles like Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Vanillaware’s Unicorn Overlord, and Football Manager 2024 (the first title in the series to release outside of Japan) contributed to the increase in sales. However, the decrease in profits came from the weak performance of the European market, and the according structural changes.
Developer Perfect World Games originally teased P5X in April 2021, as a mobile game titled Code Name: X. Persona 5: The Phantom X was later officially revealed in March 16, 2023.
Persona 5: The Phantom X is now available in China and South Korea for mobile devices and PC, and Sega is currently considering a global release of the game.

Valve's Steam Deck is a highly capable piece of kit, often reaching parity with last-gen consoles at ~720p, while more demanding current-gen efforts can prove quite playable as well - even including some of the top-end Unreal Engine 5 titles. The RDNA2 graphics hardware inside the Deck is even capable of ray tracing, though this support has largely been dormant in SteamOS. That's started to change over the last year, with first Vulkan and then DXR-enabled titles running under Proton with RT enabled - and RT performance has seen big boosts as well.
Today we're taking a look at the state of play when it comes to RT on Steam Deck, looking at some of the best-looking PC titles to see whether they can be playable with RT engaged. Can we get good frame-rates even with demanding ray tracing settings? And how does the Valve's handheld compare in performance terms against the more powerful ROG Ally?
The most obvious place to start is with the Steam Deck is some of the easier ray tracing workloads available - and I think Doom Eternal is a good first choice. The game runs well with minimal settings tweakery: 720p resolution, medium settings and RT toggled on. Relative to the non-RT version of the game, we get solid (if somewhat low-res and slightly ghostly) reflections on glossy surfaces, with very different material properties when RT is enabled. This makes for a transformative difference in scenes with glossy materials, though an aggressive roughness cutoff means that semi-gloss materials are largely bereft of RT treatment.

Lost Hit is one of two unique skill Dagda can use in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. It is a physical attack consisting of a series of punches that finishes with a powerful charged attack. His second unique skill is called Dannan's Wisdom, and it is a support ability that restores Press Turn icons for the party. During its animation the demon Danu joins him. In SMT IV Apocalypse, Danu is Dagda’s mother.

Persona 3 Aigis The First Mission is a Japan-only single player action-RPG originally released in 2007 for mobile devices, and it will be the 100th game to release in the G-Mode Archives+ collection. The game will only appear in Japan on the Switch, but will be available worldwide on Steam. However, the game will only be available in Japanese. Furthermore, the game was originally released as Aegis The First Mission in Japan, and the port's title reflects that.
The plot of Persona 3 Aigis The First Mission takes players to Yakushima in May 1999, 10 years prior to the beginning of Persona 3. Like its title implies, players take control of Aigis in an original story. While the mainline Persona series is turn-based, Aigis The First Mission sees players use the titular android fighting against Shadows using her Persona Palladion using three different type of weapons, and four different skills.
In addition, G-Mode showcased some gameplay during their most recent livestream. You can take a look at how Persona 3 Aigis The First Mission plays in the video below. The footage of the game appears between the 1:04:24 mark and finishes at 1:33:47. The stream is only available in Japanese.
Persona 3 Reload is receiving an expansion pass, adding the much-requested expansion The Answer.
The remake was criticised for not including all expansions from previous versions of the game, though dataminers discovered hints of this expansion pass last week.
As announced at tonight's Xbox Partner Preview, Episode Aigis is coming in September 2024 as the third wave of the expansion pass.

In his statement, Wada explained that Episode Aigis takes place after the main game, as well as gives context on the history of The Answer. The Answer first appeared in Persona 3 FES, which was an expanded and enhanced version of Persona 3 similar to Persona 4 Golden or Persona 5 Royal. Because Persona 3 Reload is a faithful remake of Persona 3, he felt that the game would not be complete with Episode Aigis, which concludes the entire story.
According to Wada, the development team intended on including Episode Aigis as part of the base game. However, they were unable to do that for “challenging reasons,” and so gave it up. However, after Atlus announced Persona 3 Reload, many people around the world requested for The Answer to return. He is sure that The Answer will satisfy people who already played it, and those who will be experiencing it for the first time.

There is a boy version, as well as a girl version. As a note, Cospa does not offer the top and the bottom as a set. You’ll need to purchase them separately. As another note, the male uniform is cheaper than the female one for whatever reason. The male top costs 52,800 JPY ($351.20) and the bottom costs 17,600 JPY ($117.05). Meanwhile, the female top costs 61,600 JPY ($409.70) and the bottom costs $20,350 ($135.35).
The Gekkoukan High School uniform in Persona 3 Reload is on the plain side, much like the uniform for Yasogami High School. It features a black blazer jacket over a white shirt, with the school’s crest over the chest. The guys have a black ribbon and the girls have a larger red one. You can also personalize the way that you wear the uniforms, much like the characters in the game. For example, Fuuka wears a different shirt underneath the blazer and Yukari wears a pink sweater instead of her blazer.
Persona 3 Reload is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Cospa does not offer international shipping.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 is getting the Persona 5 Royal treatment, with an all-new Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance edition that's out in June. It features a new story path, an improved battle system, new areas, and more, as you'd expect from Atlus' history of definitive editions. What's more, while SMT 5 was a Switch exclusive when it came out in 2021, the new Vengeance edition will be heading to PC and other consoles, too. Do I have time for another enormous JRPG? The Canon of Creation route follows the same story told in the original SMT V. Meanwhile, the Canon of Vengeance route is the new story being added to Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Both routes follow roughly the same story up until the middle stages of the plot, at which point Canon of Vengeance will offer significant changes.
Some new additions unique to Canon of Vengeance include 4 new female demons named the Qadištu, the Goddesses of Vengeance. Lilith is the leader of the group, and she seems to have her own agenda set for the Nahobino. Yoko Hiromine is a new character that meets the Nahobino and joins him in his travels while wandering Da’at.
SMT V and SMT V: Vengeance Director Shigeo Komori said that Vengeance was developed as a response to all the ideas the developers couldn’t include in the original game. The new storyline of Vengeance will explore the relationship between the Snake God (Qadištu) and the Bull God (Nahobino,) as well as the relationship between those who win and those who are defeated. While SMT V was a story about the Bull God creating a new world, the Canon of Vengeance is structured from the perspective of the Snake God as a tale of revenge by the oppressed.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 21, 2024. The original game is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.

One of the new gameplay elements included in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is the addition of unique skills for each demon in the party. They will take a different slot from other skill, and the new skill will emphasize and differentiate the unique characteristics and playstyles of each demon, similar to the Persona Traits added in Persona 5 Royal.
The Nahobiho is a new Frost-type demon based on the appearance of the Nahobino. Nahobiho can use an Ice elemental version of the Wrath Tempest skill, exclusive to the Nahobino in the original SMTV. Nahobiho is one of the 40 new demons that will be added to the game. Players will also be able to interact with demons in their party.
Some of the quality-of-life changes being added to Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance include the following:
Under certain circumstances, players can increase the level cap of the Nahobino and demons from 99 to 150.
The speed at which players can distribute new demon skill has been changed, and now offers four alternatives: standard, double speed, max speed, or skip.
Some Miracles can be toggled ON or OFF from the status screen.
A new item will allow players to reset the Nahobino's parameters and relocate his stats.
Players can toggle minimap rotation ON or OFF in the settings menu.
Saving can now be done anywhere in the map.
Growth items such as Gospels (EXP increase) and Incenses (stats increase,) can now be used in a batch.
Additionally, Atlus confirmed that The Return of the True Demon, The Doctor's Last Wish, The Rage of a Queen, and A Goddess in Training DLCs are all included from the beginning as part of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The Mitama DLC will remain paid content, and two new demons will be added as paid DLC. These are Dagda from SMT IV: Apocalypse, and the brand-new demon Konohana Sakuya.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 21, 2024. The original game is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.
One of the Atlus games appearing at the February 2024 Nintendo Direct was Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The Nintendo Switch exclusive launched in 2021, and this is an updated version for the Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X that will arrive on June 21, 2024.

SMT V is the latest entry in the modern day RPGs. Following an earthquake, players’ ordinary high school avatar ends up in a decimated, desert version of Tokyo. It’s then that players become the Nahobino, fusing together with a god named Aogami to become an entirely new entity. They then end up working with a government agency called Bethel to learn more about what’s going on and attempt to save humanity. Like other entries in the series, your actions and alignment can determine the fate of the world.
Over the last few years, Atlus has consistently and regularly released SMT entries worldwide. For example, the HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne showed up worldwide on the PS4, Switch, and PC. The same happened with SMT IV and its Apocalypse follow-up for the Nintendo 3DS.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2024. The original game is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.

The mod currently adds a new Kotone Shiomi model for the main character in P3R, new custom animations for her, and exclusive female voice lines for the English dub. The mod even changes the blue color scheme of the game's menu to the original Female MC pink color scheme that appeared in Persona 3 Portable. Additionally, many of the UI elements have been replaced with pink and the Kotone model.
However, Kotone still uses Makoto’s sword weapons instead of her naginata weapons from P3P, and the battle UI elements are still tinted blue. The FeMC Reloaded Team is currently working on custom physics for the skirt and hair. The team’s goal is to replace all 3D assets and 2D interface elements with the Female MC. This means that the Female MC Social Links will not be modded and added to the game.
You can check out a showcase video for the new mod below. The video is 7:38 minutes long, and the footage was recorded and edited by Persona YouTube content creator Faz.

Similar to this recent mod, Persona 5 Royal received a mod that allows players to control a female Joker, and it appeared on April 30, 2023.
Persona 3 Reload is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. The Persona 3 Reload Kotone Shiomi Female MC mod is only available on PC and can be found on Gamebanana.
