VR MMORPG Ilysia adds new areas and level cap as Steam player counts drop to single digits

This past August, we reported on the VR MMORPG Ilysia, which transitioned to a free-to-play business model while still maintaining its early access development. It’s been a few months since that update went live, so it’s time to provide a quick check in. In terms of updates, those have kept on coming, even if sporadically, with a primary […]

Pantheon Rise of the Fallen eyes its February patch for next week – here are the preliminary patch notes

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has been using several weeks to post blogs, lore, and design previews of its update due in February, but none of them provided a release date beyond… well, February. As of the MMORPG’s most recent post, we now have a release window of sometime next week as it goes through internal testing, […]

‘We believe [Nightingale] has a future,’ Inflexion says as it adds crossplay and an 80% off sale

I was surprised yesterday to realize that Nightingale had patched up on my Steam Deck without a peep from the devs, but I had only to be patient: Inflexion has now dropped a Steam post as well as a video explain what’s up. And what’s up is the co-op survival sandbox RPG’s second birthday since […]

Well, too bad because you’re getting another one in Project Gorgon this weekend as the tiny crew at Elder Game is busy busy busy. “[W]e are once again looking at a weekend patch update, which sucks for everyone! World of Warcraft’s Midnight info blitz continues with launch, raid, and delve schedules

We’ve been chuckling in the Massively OP office over Blizzard’s insanely packed infodump that it’s been doing this week for World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion. Instead of one or maybe two items per day, it’s been a minimum of four rushed posts, and last night was no exception. The infodump period may be winding down, […]

World of Warcraft hypes up next week’s Midnight early access with previews of its Prey system and Haranir race

There’s a lot to wrap your head around in regard to World of Warcraft’s upcoming Midnight expansion, including what’s the deal with its new allied race and Prey system. Fortunately for us, Blizzard posted a couple of informative overviews of both of these features in case you’re a little behind the curve. The Haranir allied […]

First Impressions: Witchspire has charming visuals and promise, but the demo is a bit rough

The moment I first saw Witchspire was a thing, I knew the exact people in my life for whom the title alone was an alluring promise. I’m not exaggerating with that; there are people who mean the world to me who are here precisely for big witch hats, witch cottages, and everything that goes along with endless […]

Horse mystery MMO Equinox Homecoming opens a free demo and adds controller support

Unless you’re on Instagram, you may have missed the news that Equinox Homecoming has launched a demo on Steam – we sure had, anyhow, before a reader tipped us off and we found the announcement buried on Reels, rather than on Steam itself or other social media. Perhaps by the time this post is live […]

We’ve all been there. You’re dragging yourself through another so-so gaming year, playing the same old titles, all while telling yourself that it’s about to get a lot more interesting, because a game you’ve been eyeing should come out before too long. And almost as if you jinxed a cosmic trickster, the next day you […]

Assetto Corsa EVO’s Eifel Free Roam Goes Live in 2026, Promises “Most Accurate Representation”

Following its silence last year, Kunos Simulazioni has announced that Assetto Corsa EVO’s Eifel Free Roam mode will arrive in 2026. To further showcase the progress made, it released a new teaser video, which is as curious as it is lovingly detailed. Check it out below.

The teaser sees the player finishing up on a track and hanging around to wait for more data before suddenly zooming out to reveal the massive complex. Cut to other notable areas in Nürburgring, including a castle on a hill, wind turbines amid a dense forest, and the gorgeously lit nighttime streets in the city. There are even NPCs roaming around, going about their business, and even some wildlife out in the fields.

Given the size of the studio and its resources, the scale is quite impressive. It ends with the player driving through the world at high speed, and suddenly, we’re worried about everyone else unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Whether you fancy a quick drive or something more relaxing, Kunos Simulazioni promises the “most accurate representation” of the region, where “every road is designed to make every kind of car feel perfectly at home.” Of course, there’s currently no concrete release window for the mode, so stay tuned for further announcements in the coming months.

Assetto Corsa EVO is available for PC via Steam Early Access. Despite a problematic launch, it picked up within the first month – check out our review for more details. Subsequent updates would add Open Mode, Career Mode and modding tools alongside new cars, tracks, and improvements to audio, drivetrain physics, and more.
