Phasmophobia Revamps Its First Map For Bigger Scares and Secrets

Phasmophobia Revamps Its First Map For Bigger Scares and Secrets

Kinetic Games has been hard at work bringing Phasm0phobia up to the high standard of quality they want the game to have. Now they’ve taken another big step by updating the first map they created for the game.

Announced today, fan favourite 6 Tanglewood Drive will receive a massive overhaul in the same vein as the Grafton and Bleasdale farmhouses. The updated map will be available on March 3rd, 2026 and is meant to increase the quality, interactivity, and replayability of the well-loved location. The updated Tanglewood will feature brand-new ghost interactions within the map and a new surprise in the basement.

Kinetic Games will keep this structure and much of the original feel when refreshing the design. “The last thing we want to do is remove the magic that players already experience in the game. We understand that Tanglewood is a fan favourite and it’s many of ours too,” said Art Director at Kinetic Games Corey Dixon.”

He continued, “The aim of the Tanglewood rework is to raise the map to the same level as the newer locations, and make Phasmophobia the game we’ve always wanted it to be. We’re so lucky to have such a dedicated fanbase, and we’re always conscious of how it could affect our veteran ghost hunters.”

Considered by many to be a beginner’s map—in fact, the original tutorial for the game was set in this house—Tanglewood is a smaller location, consisting of a single-floor house with two bedrooms, a hobby room, two toilets, a garage, a basement, and a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Following the Phasmophobia 2026 Roadmap, the next map planned for a revamp will be 13 Willow Street—another beloved location by fans.

The 6 Tanglewood Drive map rework is a free update that will be available for Phasmophobia on all platforms. Phasmophobia is available in Early Access on PC via Steam, PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X|S, and coming soon to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Highguard Gets Substantial New Content Patch With New Map, Weapons, and Bundles

Highguard Gets Substantial New Content Patch With New Map, Weapons, and Bundles

Highguard, the newest PvP raid-shooter from developers Wildlight Entertainment, has gotten a massive new content patch.

Highguard has gone through a rough release cycle, and with it being the last trailer shown at the Game Awards, people had high expectations for the game. Wildlight is attempting to satisfy those expectations with this new patch. First of all, there is now a brand new base included in the patch/update called Cloudreach.

A Look Inside Highguard, Its Design Philosophies, And Ranked System

Soaring above the ground is a docked airship, which is a surprisingly tactical advantage to have, as snipers can make easy work of any other player daring enough to get close. If players do get close, however, the combat quickly turns to close-range combat. Vents located throughout the base will give defenders the chance to throw grenades down the shafts to flush out any attackers. The best advantage Cloudreach has is that all of its plant points are located in a straight row, which means that anyone who wishes to conquer the base has to fight through the whole thing to get to the end.

Alongside a very tactical new base, Highguard is also introducing a brand-new raid weapon: the lockpick. According to the patch notes, this weapon is “Small but mighty. The best way to raid an enemy base is to let yourself in and lock them out.” That is a very astute way to put it: this gun can fire darts that open doors and windows across the map while also disabling access to them for the other team.

The darts themselves are a brand-new ammo type for Highguard for now; they appear to be exclusive to the lockpick and can only be found in chests, supply barrels, or bought from Trader Flynn. Lockpick is also included with a purple variant, which is a suped-up version of the main gun that shoots energy fields around already lockpicked doors and windows. The energy fields themselves give a short speed boost for allies and for enemies, deliver a zap that damages, slows, and highlights them for a very short amount of time.

Highguard Gets Substantial New Content Patch With New Map, Weapons, and Bundles

As for Highguard’s in-game store, Trader Flynn will now offer seven items a week instead of the previous five, letting players catch up on missed rewards. After that change, we have a couple of new paid offers, like a new mount that looks like an owl bear from Baldur’s Gate 3, which also has 4 different customization options in the same bundle. And lastly, there are new cosmetic bundles that tie in with the airship theme of the update, adding a couple of classic flying items like the pilot’s helmet.

Hopefully, this patch will bring some more attention to Highguard, as it really is a solid game that got a bad rap sheet due to its Game Awards expectations. If this update piques your interest, then check it out for free on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

23. Únor 2026 v 00:00
February is a time for lovers, a time for cuddling, and of course a time for Mabinogi players to take stock of their wings and whether or not they are enchanted optimally. World of Warcraft’s Midnight info blitz continues with launch, raid, and delve schedules

20. Únor 2026 v 15:00
We’ve been chuckling in the Massively OP office over Blizzard’s insanely packed infodump that it’s been doing this week for World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion. Instead of one or maybe two items per day, it’s been a minimum of four rushed posts, and last night was no exception. The infodump period may be winding down, […]
