Metal Gear Solid 4: Sons of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker have seemingly been removed from the PS3 digital store, shortly after the reveal of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.2.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 secured five awards at this week's Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' (AIAS) DICE Awards (not to be confused with EA's Stockholm studio of the same name), including the coveted Game of the Year prize, while Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei secured three, including for Adventure Game of the Year.
Troy Baker, one of the most well known actors working in video games, believes generative AI could have a positive effect overall on performing arts. Baker thinks it'll cause a reaction whereby people will seek out "authentic" experiences more - live shows, live theatre - and turn away from "gruel that gets distilled to me through a black mirror".
It's been another strange, difficult, and yet somehow also brilliant year for video games in 2025. Triple-A releases have been sparse again, compared to the boom times of old, with a great big GTA 6-shaped hole left in the final few months of the year. And yet once again, every gap left by the established order has been filled twice over with something brilliantly new.
Hideo Kojima is certainly a busy guy. Death Stranding 2 might be out the way, but the famed game designer still has his plate full with Xbox horror OD, and beyond that, Metal Gear spiritual successor Physint. Then there's his spirited social media presence, his regular phone calls with Geoff Keighley, and now it, turns out, a swerve into Disney voice acting as he takes on the role of a mole.
The developers of Metal Gear Solid Delta are yet to decide what their next project will be, be it another remake or something entirely new. A remake of Metal Gear Solid 4, though, would be "pretty hard".
